Machine learning is more closely linked to data privacy and has obtained rapid development in recent years. As for data privacy, searchable encryption (SE) is widely used as a ciphertext search technology, protecting the privacy of users. However, existing schemes usually support single keyword search, so the remote cloud server (CS) may return some irrelevant results. To address this problem, we propose a server-aided public key encryption scheme with multi-keyword search (SA-PEMKS) scheme. The scheme allows a data user to conduct multiple keyword search in a single search query. Security and performance analysis show that the SA-PEMKS scheme is secure and efficient. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In the age of AI, mobile architectures such as smartphones are still "cold machines"; machines do not feel. If the architecture is able to feel users' feelings and runtime user experience (UX), it will accordingly adapt performance/energy to find the optimal system-operating state that consumes the least energy to satisfy users. In this paper, we will utilize users' facial expressions (FEs) to learn their runtime UX. We know that FEs are the natural and direct way for humans to convey their emotions and feelings. Our study reveals that FEs also reflect UX. Our research for the first time quantifies the link between FEs and UX. Leveraging this link, the architecture will be able to use the front camera to see FEs and feel users' UX. Based on UX, the architecture can appropriately provision computing resources. We propose Vi-energy system to realize the above idea. Our evaluation shows that Vi-energy reduces energy consumption by 52.9% at maximum and secures UX.

Log creation, maintenance, and its persist ordering are known to be performance bottlenecks for durable transactions on persistent memory. Existing hardware persistent memory transactions overlook an important opportunity for improving performance: some persistent data is algorithmically redundant such that it can be recovered from other data, removing the need for logging such data. The paper presents an ISA extension that enables selective logging for hardware persistent memory transactions for the first time. The ISA extension features two novel components: fine-grain logging and lazy persistency. Fine-grain logging allows hardware to log updates on data in the granularity of words without lengthening the critical path of data accesses. Lazy persistency allows updated data to remain in the cache after the transaction commits. Together, the new hardware persistent memory transaction outperforms the state-of-the-art hardware counterpart by 1.8× on average.

As a widely used loss function in deep face recognition, the softmax loss cannot guarantee that the minimum positive sample-to-class similarity is larger than the maximum negative sample-to-class similarity. As a result, no unified threshold is available to separate positive sample-to-class pairs from negative sample-to-class pairs. To bridge this gap, we design a UCE (Unified Cross-Entropy) loss for face recognition model training, which is built on the vital constraint that all the positive sample-to-class similarities shall be larger than the negative ones. Our UCE loss can be integrated with margins for a further performance boost. The face recognition model trained with the proposed UCE loss, UniFace, was intensively evaluated using a number of popular public datasets like MFR, IJB-C, LFW, CFP-FP, AgeDB, and MegaFace. Experimental results show that our approach outperforms SOTA methods like SphereFace, CosFace, ArcFace, Partial FC, etc. Especially, till the submission of this work (Mar. 8, 2023), the proposed UniFace achieves the highest TAR@MR-All on the academic track of the MFR-ongoing challenge. $\color{Blue}{\mathbf{Code}}$ is publicly available.

On background of cooperative air combat, state estimation of aerial maneuvering target with multi-sensor cooperative reconnaissance is discussed in this paper. Multiple moving platforms equipped with different kinds of detectors construct heterogeneous mobile sensor networks. Graph theory is adopted to describe the communication topology of the networks. In consideration of detection range limit, the number of sensors participating in the detection changes over time. An interactive multiple model algorithm（IMM） is utilized for target motion modeling. The local observation information is processed by Cubature Information Filter（CIF）. A weighted average consensus-based state estimation method for heterogeneous mobile sensor networks with varying nodes is put forward to fuse information from different sensors and obtain a consistent and precise tracking result. Moreover, the stability analysis of proposed method is provided detailed. Finally, numerical simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Modeling heterogeneous edges to represent networks with graph auto-encoder

In the real world, networks often contain multiple relationships among nodes, manifested as the heterogeneity of the edges in the networks. We convert the heterogeneous networks into multiple views by using each view to describe a specific type of relationship between nodes, so that we can leverage the collaboration of multiple views to learn the representation of networks with heterogeneous edges. Given this, we propose a regularized graph auto-encoders (RGAE) model, committed to utilizing abundant information in multiple views to learn robust network representations. More specifically, RGAE designs shared and private graph auto-encoders as main components to capture high-order nonlinear structure information of the networks. Besides, two loss functions serve as regularization to extract consistent and unique information, respectively. Concrete experimental results on realistic datasets indicate that our model outperforms state-of-the-art baselines in practical applications. © 2021, CC BY.

As medical insurance continues to grow in size, the losses caused by medical insurance fraud cannot be underestimated. Current data mining and predictive techniques have been applied to analyze and explore the health insurance fraud population. However, previous studies only provide summary results and do not show the details of comparative analysis during the visit, resulting in the inability of auditors to quickly identify anomalous behavior. In this paper, we propose a visual analytics system for interactive medical insurance fraud detection to support the exploration and interpretation of different access processes. We propose a weighted MinDL to improve the accuracy of visit pattern classification in the time-series modeling process, and design a data analysis model and visual analysis view based on medical insurance fraud characteristics to reveal and explore the characteristics of medical insurance fraud groups. We collaborate with related organizations to design and implement an interactive visualization for medical insurance fraud group detection using real Medicare data and expert interviews The system is effective and practical in detecting and analyzing medical insurance fraud syndicates. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Malware scanning of an app market is expected to be scalable and effective. However, existing approaches use either syntax-based features which can be evaded by transformation attacks or semantic-based features which are usually extracted by performing expensive program analysis. Therefor, in this paper, we propose a lightweight graph-based approach to perform Android malware detection. Instead of traditional heavyweight static analysis, we treat function call graphs of apps as social networks and perform social-network-based centrality analysis to represent the semantic features of the graphs. Our key insight is that centrality provides a succinct and fault-tolerant representation of graph semantics, especially for graphs with certain amount of inaccurate information (e.g., inaccurate call graphs). We implement a prototype system, MalScan, and evaluate it on datasets of 15,285 benign samples and 15,430 malicious samples. Experimental results show that MalScan is capable of detecting Android malware with up to 98% accuracy under one second which is more than 100 times faster than two state-of-the-art approaches, namely MaMaDroid and Drebin. We also demonstrate the feasibility of MalScan on market-wide malware scanning by performing a statistical study on over 3 million apps. Finally, in a corpus of dataset collected from Google-Play app market, MalScan is able to identify 18 zero-day malware including malware samples that can evade detection of existing tools.

Traditional machine learning algorithms cannot adequately train the parameters of networks using massive data. A deep convolutional neural network based on multi-parameter optimization by the TensorFlow deep learning framework is designed in this paper. In order to improve the training speed and prevent over-fitting, we improve and optimize the multi-parameters, including the batch value, dropout, and momentum in the network structure. The experiment involves training and testing on the standard natural image data sets in cifar-10 and cifar-100. The experimental results show that the method achieve better classification accuracy in less time compared with other algorithms, such as Conv-KN, ImageNet-2010, SVM, LR, and Boosting. © 2019 Totem Publisher, Inc. The existing text-to-image generation methods based on stable diffusion yield better results in low-semantic prompt but often neglect the generation quality of high-semantic prompt such as emotional vocabulary, resulting in poor emotional image generation. In order to address this issue, we propose a novel approach called Sal-Guide Diffusion, which leverages saliency maps to guide emotional image generation with the goal of producing superior emotionally expressive images. In order to let the saliency maps guide the diffusion process, we introduce a lightweight adapter to extract emotional information from saliency maps and incorporate it into the diffusion process. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method generates higher-quality images across eight emotional dimensions, excelling in both generalization, emotional congruence, and subjective preference compared to stable diffusion or similar methods.
