Influenced by the complexity of multimodal data exchange scenarios and their differences in data flow graph construction, the objective basis of existing service decomposition methods is not sufficient, and the granularity of the results is too large and difficult to be decomposed. To address this problem, this paper presents a service decomposition method for multimodal data exchange scenarios. This method reconstructs the differentially constructed data flow diagram by unified rules at the stage of requirement analysis and design, and then completes the fine-grained division of microservices around documents based on service-decomposed rules. The case study shows that the method is more effective than the existing method in the multimodal data exchange scenario. © 2022 IEEE.

Based on the "road network-region-cluster" three-level network, the optimization problem of train operation scheme under network condition is transformed into the problem of direct train operation and train combination between regions on cluster network. The design of train operation scheme based on the railway network realizes the passenger flow transportation within the regional network. However, the cross-network passenger flow on the regional network still needs to transfer at the overlapping nodes. In this paper, the train merging adjustment is carried out on the overlapping nodes identified by the regional network division, and the principle of train merging is studied. The train merging adjustment model is designed with the goal of the highest direct passenger flow, the largest train operation benefit and the lowest passenger travel cost, and the genetic algorithm is designed to solve the model. Finally, taking the high-speed rail network in Chengdu Bureau as an example, the feasibility and rationality of the model and algorithm proposed in this paper are verified. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The graph regularized nonnegative matrix factorization (GNMF) algorithms have received a lot of attention in the field of machine learning and data mining, as well as the square loss method is commonly used to measure the quality of reconstructed data. However, noise is introduced when data reconstruction is performed;and the square loss method is sensitive to noise, which leads to degradation in the performance of data analysis tasks. To solve this problem, a novel graph regularized sparse NMF (GSNMF) is proposed in this article. To obtain a cleaner data matrix to approximate the high-dimensional matrix, the l1-norm to the low-dimensional matrix is added to achieve the adjustment of data eigenvalues in the matrix and sparsity constraint. In addition, the corresponding inference and alternating iterative update algorithm to solve the optimization problem are given. Then, an extension of GSNMF, namely, graph regularized sparse nonnegative matrix trifactorization (GSNMTF), is proposed, and the detailed inference procedure is also shown. Finally, the experimental results on eight different datasets demonstrate that the proposed model has a good performance. © 2014 IEEE.

The dynamic origin-destination (OD) information is crucial for traffic operations and control. This paper presents a dynamic traffic demand prediction framework based on an anomaly detection algorithm. The Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method is applied to extract main demand patterns which are used to detect the abnormal conditions. The proposed approach can select prediction methods (parametric or nonparametric) automatically based on the pattern detection results. Both simulation and field observed Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) data are used to verify the proposed approach where the Kalman filter model and the K-nearest neighbor model are chosen as the basic prediction methods. The results show that the prediction framework can effectively reduce the noise of a single prediction model particularly in the abnormal conditions and provide more accurate and reliable prediction results. © 2020 IEEE.

As an emerging technical means of free-float bike sharing parking management, electronic fencing solves the problem of chaotic parking. Existing research mostly conducts static optimal site selection for electronic fences, without considering the spatial and temporal heterogeneity of free-float bike sharing, which to some extent causes the problem of resource utilization mismatch. This paper proposes a multi-scale siting method based on free-float bike sharing big data to select the site of free-float bike sharing electronic fence in a macro and micro superposition way;starting from users and enterprises, establishing a multi-objective hybrid planning model considering the characteristics of free-float bike sharing, and dynamically optimizing the free-float bike sharing electronic fence to determine the open location and capacity of the electronic fence in different time periods. An example analysis of the free-float bike sharing data set in the local area of Shenzhen is selected to verify the effectiveness of the method. © ASCE.

Locomotive routing problem of heavy haul railways is more difficult than that of regular railways because it has some unique characteristics including different numbers of locomotives utilized for different train type, mixed using of various locomotive types, and unpaired locomotive turn-around. This paper extends the existing model of LRP. Locomotive attached variable is introduced to ensure locomotive turn-around in pair. Tractive force supply and demand balance constrain is used to transform the complex effects of multi-locomotive traction and various locomotive types. Locomotive servicing and maintenance requirements is transformed into constrains utilizing conditional discrimination. Then we develop a MIP model which has a huge scale. It is difficult to solve it utilizing the exact algorithm. We design a two-stage heuristic algorithm. In the first stage, the initial solution is produced by the heuristic algorithm based on dynamic table of locomotives staying at stations. In the second stage, Tabu Search is used to optimize the initial solutions deeply with the search space limit method and the feasible solution transformation method which are used to handle the model constraints. We conduct many computational experiments and comparative experiments to prove the rationality of the model and the effectiveness of the algorithm. The results of this paper can provide an effective reference for the study on the complex locomotive routing problem. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Relationship between Logistics Firm Size and Business Diversification: An Empirical Study of Chongqing, Area in China

This paper aims to explore the relationship between logistics firm size and business diversification, especially in micro- and small-sized enterprises, and assess the diversification process of Chongqing logistics enterprises using new data source. It is intended to contribute to theoretical research on diversification in the emerging logistics industry based on resource-based view (RBV) and factor production theory. We innovatively establish the logistics business classification system, then measure the degree and direction of diversification of logistics enterprises based on mean narrow-spectrum diversification-based product count methods. The empirically shows that there are a growing number of highly-diversified logistics enterprises in general, with an average annual increase of 14.23%. Especially after 2008, small and medium-sized enterprises developed towards related diversification while micro-sized enterprises came to the opposite conclusion. For them, creating unrelated diversified business is a crucial way to generate a competitive advantage. Unlike the conclusions derived from other industries, small-sized logistics enterprises are prone to try a new business, both related and unrelated, for better survival and performance. And changes in the firm size of medium and large-sized enterprises have little impact on the development of the business diversification.

With the development of Connected and Automated Vehicles(CAVs),wireless communication,smart sensor and other technologies,Autonomous Intersection Management(AIM) is more appropriate than the conventional signal intersection *** this work,a bi-level dynamic programming is proposed into signal-free intersection management,where the optimal control problem for controlling vehicle acceleration and deceleration is embedded in the scheduling problem as a *** a centralized control framework,information of CAVs can be *** control center predicts status and potential conflicts of all vehicles,finely analyzes and puts forward acceleration/deceleration strategies to vehicles,to avoid the potential collision and guide the trajectories of subsequent *** proposed method is tested by simulation and numerical experiment,compared with First-come-first-service(FCFS) *** show that the proposed optimization framework perform is better than FCFS in different measurements,and the average travel time can be reduced by up to 35 %.

This paper proposes a multilane traffic flow model based on the notions of conservation laws in Lagrangian coordinates. Both the mathematical formulation and the graphical representation are provided. A logit choice model is applied to describe drivers' lane choice probability. The lane changing rate is estimated by employing the Incremental Transfer (IT) principle and the lane choice probability model. The numerical implementation of the model in the case of two lanes is discussed. The simulation results reveal that the proposed Lagrangian model is able to describe lane changing dynamics of vehicle platoons;while the lane changing equilibrium curve at the macroscopic level is consistent with that from the multilane Eulerian model as well as the observed data on the highway. © 2020 IEEE.
