Plant diseases threaten global food security by reducing crop yield;thus,diagnosing plant diseases is critical to agricultural *** intelligence technologies gradually replace traditional plant disease diagnosis methods due to their time-consuming,costly,inefficient,and subjective *** a mainstream AI method,deep learning has substantially improved plant disease detection and diagnosis for precision *** the meantime,most of the existing plant disease diagnosis methods usually adopt a pre-trained deep learning model to support diagnosing diseased ***,the commonly used pre-trained models are from the computer vision dataset,not the botany dataset,which barely provides the pre-trained models sufficient domain knowledge about plant ***,this pre-trained way makes the final diagnosis model more difficult to distinguish between different plant diseases and lowers the diagnostic *** address this issue,we propose a series of commonly used pre-trained models based on plant disease images to promote the performance of disease *** addition,we have experimented with the plant disease pre-trained model on plant disease diagnosis tasks such as plant disease identification,plant disease detection,plant disease segmentation,and other *** extended experiments prove that the plant disease pre-trained model can achieve higher accuracy than the existing pre-trained model with less training time,thereby supporting the better diagnosis of plant *** addition,our pre-trained models will be open-sourced at https://***/and Zenodo platform https://***/10.5281/zenodo.7856293.

Plant disease diagnosis in time can inhibit the spread of the disease and prevent a large-scale drop in production,which benefits food *** detection-based plant disease diagnosis methods have attracted widespread attention due to their accuracy in classifying and locating ***,existing methods are still limited to single crop disease *** importantly,the existing model has a large number of parameters,which is not conducive to deploying it to agricultural mobile ***,reducing the number of model parameters tends to cause a decrease in model *** solve these problems,we propose a plant disease detection method based on knowledge distillation to achieve a lightweight and efficient diagnosis of multiple diseases across multiple *** detail,we design 2 strategies to build 4 different lightweight models as student models:the YOLOR-Light-v1,YOLOR-Light-v2,Mobile-YOLOR-v1,and Mobile-YOLOR-v2 models,and adopt the YOLOR model as the teacher *** develop a multistage knowledge distillation method to improve lightweight model performance,achieving 60.4%mAP@.5 in the PlantDoc dataset with small model parameters,outperforming existing ***,the multistage knowledge distillation technique can make the model lighter while maintaining high *** only that,the technique can be extended to other tasks,such as image classification and image segmentation,to obtain automated plant disease diagnostic models with a wider range of lightweight applicability in smart *** code is available at https://***/QDH/MSKD.

Mining World Indicators for Analyzing and Modeling the Development of Countries

The world indicators released by the World Bank or other organizations usually give the basic public knowledge about the world. However, separate and static index lacks the complex interplay among different indicators and thus cannot help us have an overall understanding of the world. To this end, we study the world indicators from a different angle. Firstly, we discover that there exist correlations between indicators either from a static view or from a dynamic view. Moreover, taking the trade and diplomatic relationships into consideration, we construct a multi-relational network to depict the interactions between different countries, and propose a Multiple Relations to Vector (MR2vec) model to study world indicators from a network perspective. The experimental results show the changes of world indicators are predictable with the proposed model, and our proposed MR2vec has wide adaptability in predicting multi-relation networks. © 2022 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

A simple solvothermal method was used to obtain W-Mo bimetallic oxides from W-Mo alloy scrap,and pure metal powders were also used as the raw materials to simulate *** products had a sea urchin-like structure with abundant oxygen vacancies and the products prepared at low temperatures forms a sosoloid resembling orthorhombic W_(0.4)Mo_(0.6)O_(3).The WMo bimetallic oxide prepared at the reaction temperature of 120℃exhibited excellent selective adsorption performance for methylene blue(MB),which the adsorption rate of MB reached 99%in 12 min and the adsorption rate reached 90%after6 adsorption *** the W-Mo molar ratio is 1:3,the maximum adsorption capacity of sample for MB can reach1148 mg·g^(-1).The adsorption process followed the Langmuir and pseudo-second-order models,which is surface-controlled monolayer *** experimental results show the feasibility of preparing W-Mo bimetal oxide products from pure materials and *** process is simple and effective,which offered a potential approach for secondary resource recycling and reusing.

Resilience-oriented Valuation for Energy Storage Amidst Extreme Events

This paper imitates the popular block elimination puzzle game of Candy Crush Saga to develop a similar mobile game about English vocabulary elimination. The proposed puzzle game in this paper is used as an integrated tool with an e-book reading system and is utilized for vocabulary practices and examinations. The design and implementation of the proposed tablet-based mobile game aims to make English vocabulary learning more interesting and motivated. Knowledge distillation has become increasingly important in model compression. It boosts the performance of a miniaturized student network with the supervision of the output distribution and feature maps from a sophisticated teacher network. Some recent works introduce multi-teacher distillation to provide more supervision to the student network. However, the effectiveness of multi-teacher distillation methods are accompanied by costly computation resources. To tackle with both the efficiency and the effectiveness of knowledge distillation, we introduce the feature aggregation to imitate the multi-teacher distillation in the single-teacher distillation framework by extracting informative supervision from multiple teacher feature maps. Specifically, we introduce DFA, a two-stage Differentiable Feature Aggregation search method that motivated by DARTS in neural architecture search, to efficiently find the aggregations. In the first stage, DFA formulates the searching problem as a bi-level optimization and leverages a novel bridge loss, which consists of a student-to-teacher path and a teacher-to-student path, to find appropriate feature aggregations. The two paths act as two players against each other, trying to optimize the unified architecture parameters to the opposite directions while guaranteeing both expressivity and learnability of the feature aggregation simultaneously. In the second stage, DFA performs knowledge distillation with the derived feature aggregation. Experimental results show that DFA outperforms existing distillation methods on CIFAR-100 and CINIC-10 datasets under various teacher-student settings, verifying the effectiveness and robustness of the design. © 2020, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
