With the development of railway construction in China,the computing demand of the train control system is increasing day by *** application of cloud computing technology on the rail transit signal system has become a research hotspot in recent *** to improve the safety and availability of the safety computer platform in the cloud computing environment is the key problem when applying cloud computing to the train operation control *** the cloud platform is in an open network environment,fac-ing many security vulnerabilities and malicious network attacks,it is necessary to monitor the operation of computer programmes through edge safety ***,this paper encrypts the logical monitoring method,and then proposes a secure computer de fence model based on the dynamic heterogeneous redundancy *** the continuous time Markov chain(CTMC)is used to quantitatively solve the stable probability of the system,and the influence of different logical monitoring methods on the anti-attack performance of the system is ***,the experiment proves that the dynamic heterogeneous redundancy structure composed of encryption logic monitoring can guarantee the safe and stable operation of the safety computer more effectively.

Virtual coupling (VC) is an emerging technology that enhances railway operations by dynamically and accurately matching line capacity with passenger demand. However, challenges arise in coordinating the virtually coupled train set (VCTS) during inter-station operations and maintaining accurate control of the VCTS. To address this issue, we propose a multi-phase trajectory planning control approach to generate the reference trajectories for VCTS to enhance the synchronicity of interstation operations. However, during speed-varying inter-station operations, it remains challenging to control VCTS accurately under disturbances while adhering to safety constraints. The control layer employs a model predictive control (MPC) approach to ensure precise reference tracking, based on the optimized reference trajectories for all train units. The effectiveness of this approach is validated through experimental results. © 2024 IEEE.

Liver rupture repair surgery serves as one tool to treat liver rupture, especially beneficial for cases of mild liver rupture hemorrhage. Liver rupture can catalyze critical conditions such as hemorrhage and shock. Surgical workflow recognition in liver rupture repair surgery videos presents a significant task aimed at reducing surgical mistakes and enhancing the quality of surgeries conducted by surgeons. A liver rupture repair simulation surgical dataset is proposed in this paper which consists of 45 videos collaboratively completed by nine surgeons. Furthermore, an end-to-end SA-RLNet, a self attention-based recurrent convolutional neural network, is introduced in this paper. The self-attention mechanism is used to automatically identify the importance of input features in various instances and associate the relationships between input features. The accuracy of the surgical phase classification of the SA-RLNet approach is 90.6%. The present study demonstrates that the SA-RLNet approach shows strong generalization capabilities on the dataset. SA-RLNet has proved to be advantageous in capturing subtle variations between surgical phases. The application of surgical workflow recognition has promising feasibility in liver rupture repair surgery. ©2024 the Author(s), licensee AIMS Press. In this paper, we use a robust controller with prescribed performance for the Stewart-Gangway system, achieving motion compensation under unknown time-varying disturbances. The designed controller is able to drive the Stewart top platform towards an arbitrarily small neighborhood of a desired trajectory, with convergence speed no less than a prespecified value, and a maximum overshoot less than a sufficiently small preseted constant. To demonstrate the effictiveness of the designed control strategy, simulation results are given. © 2023 IEEE.

The heavy-haul railways plays a crucial role in facilitating the transportation of large-scale goods, yet the challenging operational conditions significantly increase the occurrence of rail defects. Despite the growing importance of computer vision and artificial intelligence in detecting rail defects, current methods face issues of low accuracy and efficiency. The success of the Segment Anything Model (SAM) provides a promising solution to these problems. In this study, a novel two-stage rail defect evaluation methodology called Patchcore-SAM was proposed. Firstly, Patchcore enables the unsupervised detection and localization of defects. Subsequently, the detected anomalies are transformed into anomaly images and prompts, which serve as inputs for the fine-tuned SAM to achieve precise rail defect segmentation. The experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of this method, providing robust support for ensuring the safe operation of heavy-haul railways. © 2024 IEEE.

In high-speed railway, designing a reasonable controller of train control system is an important way to enhance the transportation capacity, while considering more dynamic behaviors of the preceding train, such as position, speed and acceleration etc, through V2V communication. In this paper we propose a novel method towards the safe inter-train distance minimization problem via reachability analysis and mixed H2/H∞ control. Firstly, by considering the disturbance behavior of the preceding train, a linear closed-loop system is modeled, in which the gains of a state feedback and a state feedback/feedforward, refer to controller A and controller B respectively, are designed using mixed H2/H∞ control theory. Then, the N-step forward reachable set for the two given controllers is presented to compute the maximum position error, which determines the minimum safe inter-train distance. Furthermore, backward reachability analysis algorithm is used to find the maximal initial state set, which guarantees that the state trajectory stay within the safe set in presence of disturbance. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a typical emergency braking scenario during two-train tracking. The experimental results show that the safety margin can be reduced by 54% and the maximal initial state set can be enlarged conspicuously when a feedforward term is used in the controller. © 2022 IEEE.

Rail fasteners play a crucial role in the heavy haul railway lines, serving as vital components of railway infrastructure. However, due to the intricate nature of the heavy haul railway environment, fasteners can often be obscured, leading to misjudgments and inaccuracies for the existing defect detection algorithms. To address this challenge, a novel method to detect rail fastener defects based on an improved YOLOv8 model is proposed. Initially, a new dataset specifically tailored for fastener defect detection in heavy haul railway lines is constructed utilizing onsite data. To enrich feature information and enhance detection accuracy, multiple improvements are introduced, including the addition of a P6 feature layer, the design of a cross-layer connection neck (CCNeck) feature fusion network, and the introduction of the DySample up-sampling operator. Furthermore, the Quality Focal Loss (QFL) function is introduced to address class imbalance problem within the datasets. Finally, experiments are conducted and the results demonstrate significant enhancements in detection mean average precision (mAP) compared to existing state-of-the-art networks. © 2024 IEEE.

Holographic 3D display is highly desirable for numerous applications ranging from medical treatments to military ***,it is challenging to simultaneously achieve large viewing angle and high-fidelity color reconstruction due to the intractable constraints of existing ***,we conceptually propose and experimentally demonstrate a simple and feasible pathway of using a well-designed color liquid crystal grating to overcome the inevitable chromatic aberration and enlarge the holographic viewing angle,thus enabling large-viewing-angle and color holographic 3D *** use of color liquid crystal grating allows performing secondary diffraction modulation on red,green and blue reproduced images simultaneously and extending the viewing angle in the holographic 3D display *** principle,a chromatic aberration-free hologram generation mechanism in combination with the color liquid crystal grating is proposed to pave the way for on such a superior holographic 3D *** proposed system shows a color viewing angle of~50.12°,which is about 7 times that of the traditional system with a single spatial light *** work presents a paradigm for achieving desirable holographic 3D display,and is expected to provide a new way for the wide application of holographic display.

Aiming at the flexibility and reconfigurability needs for fatigue test applications, the demand for a PLCopen-based development framework arises. In this study, we utilize the IEC 61131-3 programmable language and PLCopen specifications to design the controller for electro-hydraulic servo loading system. Firstly, PLCopen group function block diagrams are proposed in accordance with experiments. Multiple groups can manage different experiments simultaneously. Then, PLCopen channel function block diagrams are designed to manage district channels in a group. To correct tracking errors, each channel incorporates a peak-valley phase compensator. Peak-valley phase compensator could potentially be used to adjust for multi-frequency sinusoidal spectrum. Finally, simulation and experiment results verify that tracking error could be kept within a defined neighbourhood region.

An improved YOLOv7 for the state identification of sliding chairs in railway turnout

The sliding chairs are important components that support the switch rail conversion in the railway *** to the harsh environmental erosion and the attack from the wheel vibration,the failure rate of the sliding chairs accounts for up to 10%of the total failure number in ***,there is little research carried out in the existing literature to diagnose the deterioration states of the sliding *** fill out this gap,by utilizing the images containing the sliding chairs,we propose an improved You Only Look Once version 7(YOLOv7)to identify the state of the sliding ***,to meet the challenge brought by the small inter-class differences among the sliding chair states,we first integrate the Convolutional Block Attention Module(CBAM)into the YOLOv7 backbone to screen the information conducive to state ***,an extra detector for a small object is customized into the YOLOv7 network in order to detect the small-scale sliding chairs in ***,we revise the localization loss in the objective function as the Efficient Intersection over Union(EIoU)to optimize the design of the aspect ratio,which helps the localization of the sliding ***,to address the issue caused by the varying scales of the sliding chairs,we employ K-means++to optimize the priori selection of the initial anchor ***,based on the images collected from real-world turnouts,the proposed method is verified and the results show that our method outperforms the basic YOLOv7 in the state identification of the sliding chairs with 4%improvements in terms of both mean Average Precision@0.5(mAP@0.5)and F1-score.
