software reverse engineering is the process of analyzing a software system to extract the design and implementation *** engineering provides the source code of an application,the insight view of the architecture and the third-party *** a security perspective,it is mostly used for finding vulnerabilities and attacking or cracking an *** process is carried out either by obtaining the code in plaintext or reading it through the binaries or ***,reverse engineering is widely used for mobile applications and is considered a security *** Open Web Application Security Project(OWASP),a leading security research forum,has included reverse engineering in its top 10 list of mobile application *** applications are used in many sectors,e.g.,banking,education,*** particular,the banking applications are critical in terms of security as they are used for financial transactions.A security breach of such applications can result in huge financial losses for the customers as well as the *** exist various tools for reverse engineering of mobile applications,however,they have deficiencies,e.g.,complex configurations,lack of detailed analysis *** this research work,we perform an analysis of the available tools for reverse engineering of mobile *** dataset consists of the mobile banking applications of the banks providing services in *** results indicate that none of the existing tools can carry out the complete reverse engineering process as a standalone *** addition,we observe significant differences in terms of the execution time and the number of files generated by each tool for the same file.

Verifying ReLU Neural Networks from a Model Checking Perspective

Neural networks, as an important computing model, have a wide application in artificial intelligence (AI) domain. From the perspective of computer science, such a computing model requires a formal description of its behaviors, particularly the relation between input and output. In addition, such specifications ought to be verified automatically. ReLU (rectified linear unit) neural networks are intensively used in practice. In this paper, we present ReLU Temporal Logic (ReTL), whose semantics is defined with respect to ReLU neural networks, which could specify value-related properties about the network. We show that the model checking algorithm for theΣ2∪Π2 fragment of ReTL, which can express properties such as output reachability, is decidable in EXPSPACE. We have also implemented our algorithm with a prototype tool, and experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the presented model checking approach.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic revealed the criticality of timely intervention in a situation exacerbated by a shortage in medical staff and equipment. Pain-level screening is the initial step toward identifying the severity of patient conditions. Automatic recognition of state and feelings help in identifying patient symptoms to take immediate adequate action and providing a patient-centric medical plan tailored to a patient's state. In this paper, we propose a framework for pain-level detection for deployment in the United Arab Emirates and assess its performance using the most used approaches in the literature. Our results show that a deployment of a pain-level deep learning detection framework is promising in identifying the pain level accurately.

As the key step of anomaly detection for multivariate time-series (MTS) data, learning the relations among different variables has been explored by many approaches. However, most of the existing approaches do not consider the heterogeneity between variables, that is, different types of variables (continuous numerical variables, discrete categorical variables or hybrid variables) may have different and distinctive edge distributions. In this paper, we propose a novel semi-supervised anomaly detection framework based on a heterogeneous feature network (HFN) for MTS. Specifically, we first combine the embedding similarity subgraph generated by sensor embedding and the feature value similarity subgraph generated by sensor values to construct a time-series heterogeneous graph, which fully utilizes the rich heterogeneous mutual information among variables. Then, a prediction model containing nodes and channel attentions is jointly optimized to obtain better time-series representations. This approach fuses the state-of-the-art technologies of heterogeneous graph structure learning (HGSL) and representation learning. The experiments on four sensor datasets from real-world applications demonstrate that our approach detects the anomalies more accurately than those baseline approaches, thus providing a basis for the rapid positioning of anomalies. © 2023, The Authors. Improving Complex Reasoning over Knowledge Graph with Logic-Aware Curriculum Tuning

Answering complex queries over incomplete knowledge graphs (KGs) is a challenging task. Most previous works have focused on learning entity/relation embeddings and simulating first-order logic operators with various neural networks. However, they are bottlenecked by the inability to share world knowledge to improve logical reasoning, thus resulting in suboptimal performance. In this paper, we propose a complex reasoning schema over KG upon large language models (LLMs), containing a curriculum-based logical-aware instruction tuning framework, named LACT. Specifically, we augment the arbitrary first-order logical queries via binary tree decomposition, to stimulate the reasoning capability of LLMs. To address the difficulty gap among different types of complex queries, we design a simple and flexible logic-aware curriculum learning framework. Experiments across widely used datasets demonstrate that LACT has substantial improvements (brings an average +5.5% MRR score) over advanced methods, achieving the new state-of-the-art. With the advance of AI, road object detection has been a prominent topic in computer vision, mostly using perspective cameras. Fisheye lens provides omnidirectional wide coverage for using fewer cameras to monitor road intersections, however with view distortions. To our knowledge, there is no existing open dataset prepared for traffic surveillance on fisheye cameras. This paper introduces an open FishEye8K benchmark dataset for road object detection tasks, which comprises 157K bounding boxes across five classes (Pedestrian, Bike, Car, Bus, and Truck). In addition, we present benchmark results of State-of-The-Art (SoTA) models, including variations of YOLOv5, YOLOR, YOLO7, and YOLOv8. The dataset comprises 8,000 images recorded in 22 videos using 18 fisheye cameras for traffic monitoring in Hsinchu, Taiwan, at resolutions of 1080×1080 and 1280×1280. The data annotation and validation process were arduous and time-consuming, due to the ultra-wide panoramic and hemispherical fisheye camera images with large distortion and numerous road participants, particularly people riding scooters. To avoid bias, frames from a particular camera were assigned to either the training or test sets, maintaining a ratio of about 70:30 for both the number of images and bounding boxes in each class. Experimental results show that YOLOv8 and YOLOR outperform on input sizes 640×640 and 1280×1280, respectively. The dataset will be available on the GitHub link with PASCAL VOC, MS COCO, and YOLO annotation formats. The Fish-Eye8K benchmark will provide significant contributions to the fisheye video analytics and smart city applications. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The accuracy of data analysis depends on data quality, and addressing data consistency issues is a key challenge to improve it. Constant Conditional Functional Dependency (CCFD) is an effective approach that ensures data consistency by enforcing bindings of semantically related values, thus providing quality assurance for data analysis and decision-making processes. However, with the growth of data scale, especially the increasing number of data tuples and attributes, existing single-machine CCFD discovery algorithms face issues of low computational efficiency and lengthy computation time. This paper proposes a time-efficient distributed CCFD discovery algorithm (DCCFD). Through the optimization of data preprocessing and index mapping, the data organization structure is enhanced, laying the foundation for the discovery of CCFDs under distributed conditions. The Spark parallel computing framework is used to partition the dataset, which accelerates the parallel loading and processing of data. Additionally, this algorithm ensures accuracy and processing speed when discovering dependencies by efficiently generating frequent itemsets and verifying CCFDs in parallel. Experiments on multiple real datasets show that, especially with the complex Airline dataset, the DCCFD algorithm not only accurately discovers CCFDs, but also reduces the average running time by 75.64% compared with the preCFDMiner algorithm.

Accurate polyp segmentation from colonoscopy images is essential for identifying colorectal cancer. Recently, segmentation methods based on convolutional neural networks and transformers have represented excellent performance for image polyp segmentation. However, these methods are mostly designed for individual images rather than the entire video datasets, which results in the absence of sequential relationships among lesion images and neglects the significant intrinsic property of continuous video. In this work, we propose a temporal correlation network (TC-Net) for video polyp segmentation. In TC-Net, the temporal correlation is unprecedentedly modeled based on the relationship between the original video and the captured frames to be adaptable for video polyp segmentation, and the network is also calibrated for the corresponding time correlation output. Furthermore, we design a dual-track learning strategy for the optimization method in TC-Net to ensure the independence of TC-Net during the learning process to adequately exploit the optimization effect of temporal correlation. The network's effectiveness is demonstrated by extensive experiments on five publicly available biomedical datasets, and TC-Net achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance. © 2022 IEEE.

Anomaly detection aims to find outliers data that do not conform to expected behaviors in a specific scenario, which is indispensable and critical in current safety environments related studies. However, when performing outlier detection on a large-scale multidimensional dataset, most of the traditional methods make no distinctions between classes of outliers and lack the reasoning ability and the explainability of the analysis results, which leads to the low accuracy of global outlier detection and the inability to effectively identify local outliers. In this paper, we propose a fine-grained anomaly detection method which well utilizes isolation forest and knowledge graph reasoning tactics. First, a better extracting data feature method and a more reasonable weighted strategy are used to find global outliers based on the traditional isolation forest algorithm, and then we construct a custom rule base according to the in-depth research and analysis of global abnormal data, and at last the ontology knowledge is reasoned based on such rule base to achieve the detection of local outliers. Through analysis of extensive experiment results, our method could effectively discover more abnormal data without big loss of time costs, has strong generalization, and correspondingly improves the performance for abnormal detection. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Fundus imaging plays a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring various ocular diseases. The reliability of diagnostic outcomes heavily depends on the quality of the acquired images. Various factors may affect the image quality, such as environmental conditions and equipment malfunctions. However, the current methods of fundus quality assessment (FQA) mainly employ CNN-based architectures to extract local features, causing that the global features are ignored. To this end, we introduce Dual-Branch Cross Interaction Network for fundus quality assessment, called DCI-FQA, which consists of a parallel structure to capture both local and global features related to fundus quality. Specifically, the local and the global features extracted by CNN-branch and Swin-branch, respectively, which are mutually interacted in the spatial domain through attention modules. The quality-based features from dual-branch can be integrated by interacting features across different branches to improve the classification performance. Subsequently, the features of dual-branch and the fusion features are aggregated to classifier for the classification of quality assessment. The experiments on the FQ dataset demonstrate that the proposed method achieves the superior classification performance for fundus quality assessment.
