Emotion recognition in conversation (ERC) aims at accurately identifying emotional states expressed in conversational content. Existing ERC methods, although relying on semantic understanding, often encounter challenges when confronted with incomplete or misleading semantic information. In addition, when dealing with the interaction between emotional and semantic information, existing methods are often difficult to effectively distinguish the complex relationship between the two, which affects the accuracy of emotion recognition. To address the problems of semantic misdirection and emotional cross-talk encountered by traditional models when confronted with complex conversational data, we propose a semantic and emotional dual channel (SEDC) strategy for emotion recognition in conversations to process emotional and semantic information independently. Under this strategy, emotion information provides an auxiliary recognition function when the semantics are unclear or lacking, enhancing the accuracy of the model. Our model consists of two modules: the emotion processing module accurately captures the emotional features of each utterance through contrastive learning, and then constructs a dialogue emotion propagation map to simulate the emotional information conveyed in the dialogue;the semantic processing module combines an external knowledge base to enhance the semantic expression of the dialogue through knowledge enhancement strategies. This divide-and-conquer approach allows us to more deeply analyze the emotional and semantic dimensions of complex dialogues. Experimental results on the IEMOCAP, EmoryNLP, MELD, and DailyDialog datasets show that our approach significantly outperforms existing techniques and effectively improves the accuracy of dialogue emotion recognition. China is now confronting the intertwined challenges of air pollution and climate *** the high synergies between air pollution abatement and climate change mitigation,the Chinese government is actively promoting synergetic control of these two *** Synergetic Roadmap project was launched in 2021 to track and analyze the progress of synergetic control in China by developing and monitoring key *** Synergetic Roadmap 2022 report is the first annual update,featuring 20 indicators across five aspects:synergetic governance system and practices,progress in structural transition,air pollution and associated weather-climate interactions,sources,sinks,and mitigation pathway of atmospheric composition,and health impacts and benefits of coordinated *** to the comprehensive review presented in the 2021 report,the Synergetic Roadmap 2022 report places particular emphasis on progress in 2021 with highlights on actions in key sectors and the relevant *** milestones include the proportion of non-fossil power generation capacity surpassing coal-fired capacity for the first time,a decline in the production of crude steel and cement after years of growth,and the surging penetration of electric ***,in 2022,China issued the first national policy that synergizes abatements of pollution and carbon emissions,marking a new era for China's pollution-carbon *** changes highlight China's efforts to reshape its energy,economic,and transportation structures to meet the demand for synergetic control and sustainable ***,the country has witnessed a slowdown in carbon emission growth,improved air quality,and increased health benefits in recent years.

In this paper, an approach on a balance for a small humanoid robot by using movable mass. A standard humanoid robot can stand stably when its center of mass (CoM) is in a zero moment point (ZMP) zone. However, CoM’s robot can go out the ZMP zone when the robot moves. To overcome this issues, a movable mass is added in the robot at the abdomen to balance. By controlling position of the movable mass, CoM’s robot can be kept in the ZMP zone when it moves. Simulation results show effectiveness of the proposed method. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.

Dynamic Characteristics of Ion Concentration Distribution for Pulse Combustion with Different Injection Schemes

The performance of the aerospace vehicles directly depends on the operation of their large combustion propulsion device. In the development of large combustion propulsion device, combustion instability has long been an inevitable and thorny problem. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of combustion instability under different injection schemes in a Helmholtz pulse combustor were experimentally investigated. The ion concentration signals in different location of the combustor were acquired to characterize the dynamic process of unsteady combustion with different injection parameters. Results show that the injection schemes with large incident angle and nozzle-hole spacing are not conducive to combustion stability. Large incident angle and nozzle-hole spacing will prevent the fuel jets convergence, thus dividing the central flame front into two parts: one is located near the nozzle outlet with fuel rich combustion and the other is close to the combustor wall with fuel lean combustion. The fuel rich state is easier to stimulate combustion instability than the fuel lean state. Compared to the original converging jet, the newly established fuel rich combustion zone increase the occurrence of combustion instability. On the other hand, the large incident angle and nozzle-hole spacing would cause the combustion heat release to exceed the pressure oscillation, leading to combustion instability. © 2024, The Authors. This notes focuses on the issue of whether or not the state of a plant can be estimated when the inputs of communication channel involve noise and disturbance simultaneously. It turns out to calculate the maximum capacity of stationary memoryless multiple quasi-access channel under nonstochastic information theory. It is shown that the maximum information rate over such a channel is determined by a convex hull spanned by the zero-error capacities which are specified on the underlying sample spaces. Moreover, the state of a plant could be estimated provided that the maximal information rate is strictly greater than the topology entropy. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

The reduction in transistor dimensions and advancements in chip integration have led to a dramatic increase in the heat flux of chip. Advanced heat dissipation technology has become the pivotal in ensuring the normal operation of chips and fully utilizing chip performance. Room temperature liquid metal convection cooling technology has demonstrated its efficacy as a viable approach for addressing high heat flux heat dissipation. However, the smaller specific heat capacity of liquid metal leads to a large temperature rise, imposing a constraint on the progression of liquid metal cooling technology. To overcome this drawback, this paper proposed a liquid metal manifold channel structure designed to convert the continuous long-range flow into a segmented short-range flow. The good matching between liquid metal and manifold structures is adequately demonstrated through a comparison with alternative coolant and channel structure. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of liquid metal manifold channel cooling in dealing with a heat flux of 1000 W/cm², ensuring that the maximum temperature of the chip remains below 351.7 K. Moreover, the convective heat transfer coefficient even reaches 106 W/(m2·K), which is ten times larger than that of water conventional microchannel heat sink. The orthogonal experiments were conducted to analyze how the structural parameters affect the dissipation performance, including the height of the microchannel, ratio of manifold length to fin length, length of fin in manifold, width of channel, and ratio of fin with to channel width. It concluded that the height of the microchannel has been identified as the most critical factor. This manifold structure mitigates the inherent limitation of the lower specific heat capacity of liquid metal, paving the way for effective thermal management of electronic devices subjected to ultra-high heat flux. © 2024, The Authors. We model a platooning system including trucks and a third-party service provider that performs platoon coordination, distributes the platooning profit within platoons, and charges the trucks in exchange for its services. This paper studies one class of pricing rules, where the third-party service provider keeps part of the platooning profit each time a platoon is formed. Furthermore, we propose a platoon coordination solution based on distributed model predictive control in which the pricing rule is integrated. To evaluate the effect of the pricing on the platooning system, we perform a simulation over the Swedish road network. The simulation shows that the platooning rate and profit highly depend on the pricing. This suggests that pricing needs to be set carefully to obtain a satisfactory platooning system in the future.

In order to solve the problems of heat dissipation and insufficient wear resistance of silicon nitride materials during dry friction, a novel Ti/TiN/MoS2-Cu lubricated film was deposited on a silicon nitride substrate by magnetron sputtering. The results show that the Ti/TiN structure design promoted MoS2(002) crystal plane growth. Moderate Cu(20W) doping promoted film densification and reduced structural defects, resulting in films with high thermal conductivity and low wear rate. Excessive Cu(40W) doping enabled the films to have high hardness, but due to structural defects and elemental aggregation, the thermal conductivity and abrasion resistance of the films were reduced. The Ti/TiN structure and MoS2-Cu film design provide guidance to improve the thermal and tribological performance of silicon nitride materials. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Dynamic searchable symmetric encryption (DSSE) enables users to delegate the keyword search over dynamically updated encrypted databases to an honest-but-curious server without losing keyword privacy. This paper studies a new and practical security risk to DSSE, namely, secret key compromise (e.g., a user’s secret key is leaked or stolen), which threatens all the security guarantees offered by existing DSSE schemes. To address this open problem, we introduce the notion of searchable encryption with key-update (SEKU) that provides users with the option of non-interactive key updates. We further define the notion of post-compromise secure with respect to leakage functions to study whether DSSE schemes can still provide data security after the client’s secret key is compromised. We demonstrate that post-compromise security is achievable with a proposed protocol called "Bamboo". Interestingly, the leakage functions of Bamboo satisfy the requirements for both forward and backward security. We conduct a performance evaluation of Bamboo using a real-world dataset and compare its runtime efficiency with the existing forward-and-backward secure DSSE schemes.
