Alkali metal DC arc discharge has the characteristics of easy ionization,low power consumption,high plasma temperature and ionization degree,etc,which can be applied in aerospace vehicles in various *** this paper,we calculate the physical property parameters of lithium vapor,one of the major alkali metals,and analyze the discharge characteristics of lithium plasma with the magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)*** discharge effects between constant current and voltage sources are also *** is shown that the lithium plasma of DC arc discharge has relatively high temperature and current *** peak temperature can reach tens of thousands of K,and the current density reaches 6 x 107 A m *** the same rated power,the plasma parameters of the constant voltage source discharge are much higher than those of the constant current source discharge,which can be used as the preferred discharge mode for aerospace applications.

—Traditional three-dimensional magnetotelluric (MT) numerical forward modeling methods, such as the finite element method (FEM) and finite volume method (FVM), suffer from high computational costs and low efficiency due to limitations in mesh refinement and computational resources. We propose a novel neural network architecture named MTAGU-Net, which integrates an attention gating mechanism for 3D MT forward modeling. Specifically, a dual-path attention gating module is designed based on forward response data images and embedded in the skip connections between the encoder and decoder. This module enables the fusion of critical anomaly information from shallow feature maps during the decoding of deep feature maps, significantly enhancing the network’s capability to extract features from anomalous regions. Furthermore, we introduce a synthetic model generation method utilizing 3D Gaussian random field (GRF), which accurately replicates the electrical structures of real-world geological scenarios with high fidelity. numerical experiments demonstrate that MTAGU-Net outperforms conventional 3D U-Net in terms of convergence stability and prediction accuracy, with the structural similarity index (SSIM) of the forward response data consistently exceeding 0.98. Moreover, the network can accurately predict forward response data on previously unseen datasets models, demonstrating its strong generalization ability and validating the feasibility and effectiveness of this method in practical applications. The continuous miniaturization of 2D electronic circuits results in increased power density during device operation, leading to heat localization and placing higher demands on their performance thresholds. The risk to thermal breakdown and subsequent damage, due to the energy dissipation in the 2D semiconductor field-effect transistors (FETs) supported on the bulk substrates, represents a significant challenge in maintaining their optimal performance. Herein, this study investigates energy dissipation behavior in multilayer PdSe2 FETs for the first time. The high-field breakdown behavior is firstly studied in multilayer PdSe2 FETs on SiO2/Si substrates, where a maximum current density of ≈2.74 MA cm−2 is observed, which is comparable to that of multilayer black phosphorus FET and significantly higher—by about five times—than that of multilayer MoS2 FET. Additionally, the thermal boundary conductance (TBC) of PdSe2/SiO2 interface is measured at room temperature using Raman thermometry. The TBC is found to be ≈12–13 MW m−2 K−1, which is relatively low compared to the other known solid–solid interfaces, indicating that enhancing the performance of PdSe2 FETs can be possible by optimizing the TBC at the PdSe2/SiO2 interface. These findings provide valuable insights for design of high-quality and high-performance PdSe2 electronic and optoelectronic devices. © 2025 Wiley-VCH GmbH.

During its flight, Spacecrafts need to maneuver its attitude across a number of predefined positions. The order to traverse these attitudes is a combinational optimization problem. In this article, fuel cost is estimated by analyzing the angular momentum change during attitude transitions. Based on this estimation, an optimization algorithm for both fuel-cost and maneuver-time oriented path planner is introduced. Simulation result demonstrated the effectiveness of proposed approach. © 2012 IEEE.

Micro-Doppler features can be regarded as a unique signature of ISAR targets and provide critical information for target recognition. This paper proposes an ISAR micro-Doppler feature extraction and recognition method based on combination algorithm of principle component analysis (PCA) and independent component analysis (ICA). In order to decrease computation burden, PCA algorithm is first applied to reduce dimension and second order correlation, and then ICA decomposes micro-Doppler represented in time frequency domain into a set of independent basis components, which consist the micro-Doppler feature subspace. Target recognition is transformed to calculate the projection coefficient in the subspace. The experimental results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method.

In the astronautics, it is widely acknowledged as a hard problem that using neural network to handle the intelligent observation and guidance when dealing with non-cooperative pursuing vehicles. Due to the difficulty of obtaining training data set from non-cooperative vehicles, the inconsistency between training data and utilization data, application of neural network controller is by far very limited. In order to tackle this problem, an online tuning scheme of neural network is proposed in this paper aiming to boost the observation and counter action abilities against non-cooperative pursuer. In the proposed methodology, the deep neural network controller is pre-trained through dataset from generative network before deployment, and fine-tuned online through real time observations data set. In this way, the calculation pressure is alleviated for onboard computer and the contribution of real time observation data set is utilized more correctly, thus guaranteeing the efficiency and effectiveness of online tuning. Simulation results suggested that, both in the observation ability and counteractive guidance to avoid the pursuer, the proposed method all trumped traditional networks without online tuning, which resulting a higher chance to survive the pursuit. © 2022 IEEE.

Over the past decades, our understanding of thermal transport in amorphous materials has predominantly relied on the inherently harmonic Allen-Feldman theory, which has been found to be insufficient. In this study, the Wigner transport formalism is adopted to explicitly account for anharmonicity. In studying the thermal transport in amorphous silicon, the results highlight that amorphous materials are not generally computationally equivalent to crystals with disordered primitive cells. A method that leverages the properties of the two-mode terms in the Wigner transport formalism is proposed to predict the bulk thermal conductivity of amorphous materials using finite-size models. In doing so, the need for mode classification schemes required in the Allen-Feldman theory is eliminated, and similarities are discovered between the two-mode terms and the carriers commonly used to describe thermal transport in amorphous materials, i.e., propagons, diffusons, and locons. Two competing trends are identified that shed light on the recently discovered anomalous decrease in the high-temperature thermal conductivity in some amorphous materials.

The missile-borne or airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) usually adopts the squint mode and subaperture to satisfy maneuvering and the real-time processing. A realtime imaging algorithm of squint SAR based on SPECAN processing is presented. It has high computational efficiency in low resolution. A unified back-projection algorithm is proposed to solve the problem of fan-shaped distortion and geometric distortion. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2019 IEEE.

The Absorptive/transmissive Frequency Selective Surface (ATFSS) is a multi-layer composite periodic structure with out-of-band absorption and in-band transmission characteristics, usually composed of a lossy resistive sheet (RS) and a lossless bandpass FSS. In this paper, an equivalent circuit method based on transmission line theory was used to design the ATFSS with idea of higher frequencies for transmission and lower frequencies for absorption, as well as the impedance conditions for satisfying wave transmission and absorption. Furthermore, the S-parameters was fitted, which verifies the design concept. Finally, the simulation was performed with numerical method. It is shown from the simulation that the broadband absorption of the ATFSS ranges from 2.00 GHz to 6.29 GHz, and the broadband transmission ranges from 8.46 GHz to 11.32 GHz with an insertion loss of less than 1 dB. © 2022 IEEE.

With the change of battlefield form, the pressure jamming requires the jammer to have large power, and the jamming efficiency is low, so the spoofing jamming comes into being. In this paper, the linear frequency modulation signal and fuzzy function are analyzed to verify the feasibility of using frequency shift forwarding to generate virtual images, and the two-dimensional frequency shift method is used to generate virtual images at specific locations to deceive local radar. © 2022 IEEE.
