Due to a high spatial angle resolution and low circuit cost of massive hybrid analog and digital (HAD) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), it is viewed as a valuable green communication technology for future wireless networks. Combining a massive HAD-MIMO with direction of arrival (DOA) will provide a high-precision even ultra-high-precision DOA measurement performance approaching the fully-digital (FD) MIMO. However, phase ambiguity is a challenge issue for a massive HAD-MIMO DOA estimation. In this paper, we review three aspects: detection, estimation, and Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) with low-resolution ADCs at receiver. First, a multi-layer-neural-network (MLNN) detector is proposed to infer the existence of passive emitters. Then, a two-layer HAD (TLHAD) MIMO structure is proposed to eliminate phase ambiguity using only one-snapshot. Simulation results show that the proposed MLNN detector is much better than both the existing generalized likelihood ratio test (GRLT) and the ratio of maximum eigen-value (Max-EV) to minimum eigen-value (R-MaxEV-MinEV) in terms of detection probability. Due to profound impact on climate and human health,air quality has attracted attention from all levels of the civil *** key step in the provision of required tools for the society to tackle the complex air quality problem is to characterize it in a comprehensive manner with a long-term ***,we describe a continuous and comprehensive observation station and its accompanying state-ofthe-art instrumentation that was established to investigate the complex urban atmospheric environment in a rapidly developing Chinese *** station,located in downtown Beijing,aims to study air quality by identifying the major atmospheric pollutants and key processes determining their formation and loss mechanisms.A few hundreds of parameters are continuously measured with the state-of-the-art instruments,including trace gas concentrations,aerosol particle size distributions,and mass concentrations,covering aerosol particle chemical composition from molecules to micrometer-sized aerosol *** produced long-term,comprehensive big data with around 1�10^(11)bytes per *** this paper,we provide an overview on the facilities of the station,the instrumentation used,the workflow of continuous observations and examples of results from 2018 to 2019 and a basis for establishing a modern long-term,comprehensive atmospheric urban observation station in other megacities.

This paper mainly studies the relationship between timbre perception features and emotion in musical sounds. Firstly, a five - dimensional emotional space was determined by multidimensional scaling analysis. Then emotional labeling subjective evaluation experiments were carried out for 72 scale materials and 48 melody materials of timbre to obtain emotional data of timbre materials. The correlation between timbre perception features and emotion is studied according to the playing content, temporal characteristics, and musical instrument types. Finally, a set of mathematical models of the relationship between timbre perception features and emotion was established by the method of multiple linear regression. The experimental results show that the features of timbre perception are an important effect on musical emotion, and these models have good predictive ability for the five emotion dimensions.

Quantum process tomography is an experimental technique to fully characterize an unknown quantum process. Standard quantum process tomography suffers from exponentially scaling of the number of measurements with the increasing system size. In this work, we put forward a quantum machine learning algorithm which approximately encodes the unknown unitary quantum process into a relatively shallow depth parametric quantum circuit. We demonstrate our method by reconstructing the unitary quantum processes resulting from the quantum Hamiltonian evolution and random quantum circuits up to 8 qubits. Results show that those quantum processes could be reconstructed with high fidelity, while the number of input states required are at least 2 orders of magnitude less than required by the standard quantum process tomography. Nowadays, visual comfort and stereo viewing experience are both important indicators for the assessment of Stereoscopic 3D (S3D) image. This paper mainly uses subjective evaluation method to study the perception experience for multiple display devices under varied modes and sizes: time-division 3D screen and 3D projector. A computer-generated object is set as the 3D target, with different parallax magnitude and color. The evaluating indicators include visual comfort, space perception and volume perception. The experimental results proved that in different display modes, the parallax magnitude and color have different effects on the perceived effect. Overall, the time-division screen showed better display performance than the projection. This data and analysis will provide foundational research for the related study of objective assessment of S3D images, and is helpful for the further development of display technology.

Beatbox is a performance form of vocal percussion, which is gradually favored by people with continuous development in recent years. With the abundance of Beatbox content on the Internet, the research on its automatic classification becomes very significant. In this article, we mainly using machine learning methods, to identify the beatbox timbre. First of all, we collected 900 Beatbox audio materials and constructed a database. Secondly, 14 acoustic parameters of audio material are extracted by the signal processing method. Finally, we used MultilayerPerceptron, SMO, BayesNet, RandomForest in current machine learning to build a training model for BB timbre classification. The Experimental results showed that the model could classify BB timbre well.

This article provides a review on X-ray pulsar-based navigation (XNAV). The review starts with the basic concept of XNAV, and briefly introduces the past, present and future projects concerning XNAV. This paper focuses on the advances of the key techniques supporting XNAV, including the navigation pulsar database, the X-ray detection system, and the pulse time of arrival estimation. Moreover, the methods to improve the estimation performance of XNAV are reviewed. Finally, some remarks on the future development of XNAV are provided. © 2023, CC BY-NC-ND.

Lightweight image super-resolution aims to reconstruct high-resolution images from low-resolution images using low computational costs. However, existing methods result in the loss of middle-layer features due to activation functions. To minimize the impact of intermediate feature loss on reconstruction quality, we propose a Feature Interaction Weighted Hybrid Network (FIWHN), which comprises a series of Wide-residual Distillation Interaction Block (WDIB) as the backbone. Every third WDIB forms a Feature Shuffle Weighted Group (FSWG) by applying mutual information shuffle and fusion. Moreover, to mitigate the negative effects of intermediate feature loss, we introduce Wide Residual Weighting units within WDIB. These units effectively fuse features of varying levels of detail through a Wide-residual Distillation Connection (WRDC) and a Self-Calibrating Fusion (SCF). To compensate for global feature deficiencies, we incorporate a Transformer and explore a novel architecture to combine CNN and Transformer. We show that our FIWHN achieves a favorable balance between performance and efficiency through extensive experiments on low-level and high-level tasks. Through a music emotion labeling experiment and the music-light color correlation experiment, the relationship between sadness, soothing, excitement, heroic and happiness five kinds of music emotions and light color is discussed from the perspective of the audience. The experimental results show that the five music emotions have a significant influence on the light color. The mapping relationship between the five music emotions and the light color obtained from the experimental data can provide reference suggestions for the lighting designer to select the light color that matches the musical emotion, thereby further improving the audiovisual experience. © 2019 IEEE.

Some exiting works have explored the promotion between depth estimation and semantic segmentation. These works are usually based on convolutional neural networks, which extract compact features and map the relationship between input and output according to specific tasks. In this paper, we introduce a novel adversarial training strategy, that is, generator produces the semantic segmentation map and depth map, and then the discriminator can judge the authenticity of the synthesized color image, thereby supervising the output of the network during back propagation. We use the adversarial loss combined with the reconstruction loss function to supervise the model, and find that the adversarial loss function which is seen as a global supervision can further optimize the output. We use 200 color images from Kitti dataset with semantic segmentation ground truth as the training set, and train the network in an end-to-end manner. The experimental results show that the adversarial training method is well applied to the multi-task training combining semantic segmentation and depth estimation, and can further improve the quantitative performance of depth estimation.
