By observing the fact that moving in a straight line is a common flying behavior of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in normal applications, e.g., power line inspections, and air patrols along with highway/streets/borders, in this paper we investigate the secrecy outage performance of a UAV system with linear trajectory, where a UAV (S) flies in a straight line and transmits its information over the downlink to a legitimate receiver (D) on the ground while an eavesdropping UAV (E) trying to overhear the information delivery between S and D. Meanwhile, some information is delivered to S over the uplink from D, such as commanding messages to control S’s detecting operations, which can also be eavesdropped by E. The locations of S, D, and E are randomly distributed. This paper presents a formal analysis of the QUIC protocol. This newly proposed protocol is currently under the process of standardization, and it is still unknown whether the proposed protocol provides the claimed security guarantees. To fill this gap, we model the QUIC handshake protocol in the applied pi calculus and perform a comprehensive formal analysis using ProVerif. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first thorough study on the formal analysis of QUIC handshake protocol.

Underwater images contain an interactive mixture of distortions due to the physicochemical property of water and the instability of imaging systems, which differ from those in natural images. We cannot obtain the pristine underwater image as the reference applied in the traditional benchmark databases, and the groups of gradual distortions either. In this paper, a novel preselection based preference label evaluation method is proposed to construct a combined subjective test procedure for an extended preference judgment dataset of underwater images. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first subjective evaluation procedure for underwater images, and also a solution for an expanding visual preference benchmark database. We demonstrate the excellent correlation of the proposed subjective evaluation with the traditional image quality assessment. It is also proven that the proposed subjective evaluation procedure could reflect the slight change of image quality and the authentic quality of a picture more accurately better than the traditional methods. © 2019 IEEE Computer Society. In this paper, a two-stage channel estimation scheme is presented for frequency-selective millimeter wave (mmWave) massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems with hybrid precoding. Specifically, at the first stage, likelihood function with respective to the channel angle of departure (AoD) and angle of arrival (AoA) are maximized by the deterministic maximum likelihood (DML) estimator to obtain a coarse channel estimate. At the second stage, a space-alternating generalized expectation-maximization (SAGE) based algorithm is proposed to refine the channel parameters. In addition, an angle paring scheme is proposed to paired the AoA and AoD. Simulation results show the better performance of the proposed method.

Industrial Internet of things (IoT) environment is one of the typical scenarios in the beyond fifth generation (B5G) networks. In this paper, a general three dimensional (3D) geometry-based stochastic model (GBSM) is proposed for the industrial IoT environments. Typical channel parameters, such as the power, delay, azimuth angle of arrival (AAOA), azimuth angle of departure (AAOD), elevation angle of arrival (EAOA), elevation angle of departure (EAOD) are combined to model the channel impulse response (CIR). The spatial consistency of the parameter is achieved by the sum of sinusoids (SOS) method. The spatial non-stationarity is modeled by describing the birth and death of the clusters under the industrial environments. To support the broadband channel, the CIR is modeled at each bin of the whole spectrum and the frequency correlation of the parameters is taken into account. Extensive simulated and measured results validate the credibility of the proposed model.

A novel stochastic channel impulse response matrix (CIRM) model for massive multiple input multiple output (MI-MO) channels is proposed in this papen Under the framework of this proposed model, the CIRM can be modeled as a sum of couplings between the steering vectors at the base station (BS) end and the eigenbases at the mobile station (MS) side. The fading of the coupling between the steering vector and the eigenbase is modeled as Nakagami distribution. Furthermore, the closed form of the capacity is derived based on the proposed framework. Compared with the traditional Weibchselberger model, the proposed model has lower complexity. To validate the proposed model, extensive massive MIMO channel measurements are carried out in an indoor environment The results show that the new model provides a better fit to the measured results than Weibchselberger model. Finally, the closed form and PDF are validated by Monte Carlo realizations of the proposed model. This CIRM model can be used for massive MIMO design in future fifth-generation communication system design.

Breast cancer is one of the most common causes of death among women worldwide. Early detection helps in reducing the number of deaths. Automated 3D Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) is a newer approach for breast screening, which has many advantages over handheld mammography such as safety, speed, and higher detection rate of breast cancer. Tumor detection, segmentation, and classification are key components in the analysis of medical images, especially challenging in the context of 3D ABUS due to the significant variability in tumor size and shape, unclear tumor boundaries, and a low signal-to-noise ratio. The lack of publicly accessible, well-labeled ABUS datasets further hinders the advancement of systems for breast tumor analysis. Addressing this gap, we have organized the inaugural Tumor Detection, Segmentation, and Classification Challenge on Automated 3D Breast Ultrasound 2023 (TDSC-ABUS2023). This initiative aims to spearhead research in this field and create a definitive benchmark for tasks associated with 3D ABUS image analysis. In this paper, we summarize the top-performing algorithms from the challenge and provide critical analysis for ABUS image examination. A strategy based on local spin-state manipulation was achieved through S-modification on single-Fe-atom catalysts (Fe 1 -NSC). Spectral analyses and theoretical calculations elucidated that a medium-spin reconfiguration of Fe species in Fe 1 -NSC endowed an increased orbital overlap between Fe-3d and O-2p, reinforcing the peroxymonosulfate (PMS) dissociation kinetics. Consequently, Fe 1 -NSC delivered excellent performance in PMS conversion and pollutant degradation. The specific activity of PMS activation over Fe 1 -NSC reached 36.1 × 10 -3 L min -1 m -2 , 4.2-folds that of Fe 1 -NC (8.61 × 10 -3 L min -1 m -2 ) and superior to the state-of-the-art catalysts reported to date. Importantly, the atomic spin-state modulation via S-modification can extend to other metals (Mn, Co and Cu) for improved PMS activation with > 3 times higher than those without S-modification. This work provides a universal scheme for electronic configuration regulation and highlights the significance of local environment modulation in designing high-performance catalysts for PMS activation.

In this paper, we study the spectral efficiency (SE) and energy efficiency (EE) of asymmetrically clipped optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (ACO-OFDM) for visible light communication (VLC). Firstly, we derive the achievable rates for Gaussian distributions inputs and practical finite-alphabet inputs. Then, we investigate the SE maximization problems subject to both the total transmit power constraint and the average optical power constraint with the above two inputs, respectively. By exploiting the relationship between the mutual information and the minimum mean-squared error, an optimal power allocation scheme is proposed to maximize the SE with finite-alphabet inputs. To reduce the computational complexity of the power allocation scheme, we derive a closed-form lower bound of the SE. Also, considering the quality of service, we further tackle the non-convex EE maximization problems of ACO-OFDM with the two inputs, respectively. The problems are solved by the proposed Dinkelbach-type iterative algorithm. In each iteration, the interior point algorithm is applied to obtain the optimal power *** performance of the proposed power allocation schemes for the SE and EE maximization are validated through numerical analysis. Object detection has always played a major role in the field of computer vision. With the development of faster region-based convolutional neural network (faster-RCNN), single shot multi-box detector (SSD), You Only Look Once (Yolo) and other deep learning networks, 2D object detection has been developed well developed. However, in some key areas, such as driverless vehicles and artificial intelligence robots, cannot meet the requirements of tasks just by detecting two dimensional (2D) objects. So we need to get the three dimensional (3D) position of the object. In 3D object detection, it is difficult to obtain object position information only by red-green-blue (RGB) image. There are some methods to get the 3D position of the target through the point cloud data set. Therefore, this paper proposes a deep learning network, which can combine both color image information and point cloud geometry information, while using MobileNet V3 as the backbone network greatly enhances the operation speed. The region proposal networks (RPN) layer in faster-RCNN is migrated to the network. After testing, the method proposed by us improves obviously in speed and recognition accuracy compared with the previous methods.
