In view of the problems of high energy consumption, long inventory time and low production efficiency in the production process of traditional aluminum extrusion machine, this paper establishes an efficient two-stage parallel scheduling optimization model based on the integration of flexible job shop scheduling and assembly sequence planning (IFJSS-ASP). On this basis, an evolutionary algorithm combining strong dominance relationship and simple grouping method (SDREA-SGM) is proposed. The algorithm utilizes a two-stage hybrid chromosome encoding and decoding method to establish a rational mapping from the decision space to the solution space. Furthermore, in order to prevent the model from easily falling into local optima, an adaptive intra-class and inter-class pairing selection strategy has been adopted by the algorithm. This enhances global search and improves local search ***, the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm are verified by solving problems of different scales. © 2024 IEEE.

Utilizing high-resolution antenna arrays and wide bandwidth of the millimeter-wave (mmWave) spectrum in 5G new radio (NR) mmWave communication systems holds the potential for high-throughput data transmission while enabling user localization and environmental mapping. However, the majority of existing simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithms rely on methods akin to the extended Kalman filter for generating initial map features. These methods prove ineffective when the measurement dimension is insufficient. Furthermore, there is a notable absence of research exploring mmWave prototype systems to evaluate and compare the performance and viability of various SLAM algorithms. To address these challenges, we propose an innovative probability hypothesis density (PHD) generation scheme for birth events and have developed a prototype system. Our approach, referred to as PHD-SLAM, exhibits remarkable effectiveness even in scenarios where the measurement dimension falls short of map features. This means it can function seamlessly with only delay or angle information available. Additionally, we have designed a 28GHz mmWave beam scanning prototype system that leverages the 5G NR frame for accomplishing SLAM algorithms. Following this, we conducted extensive simulations and experimental evaluations to gauge the performance of several leading-edge SLAM algorithms under diverse mmWave circumstances, encompassing PHD-based and belief propagation (BP) SLAM algorithms. Our analysis reveals that both PHD and BP SLAM can achieve agent localization precision within a decimeter and mapping precision within a meter, capitalizing on the angle parameters of mmWave signals. While BP SLAM showcases reduced computational demand, its estimation precision is marginally inferior to that of PHD-SLAM. © 2014 IEEE.

This study proposes a target extraction algorithm for array GM-APD lidar based on hybrid domain features, designed to address the challenges of accurately extracting target region based on the image in complex scenes and high noise interference. We extracted the temporal features of the echo signals and transformed the echo signals into the image domain to enhance the information content and further extract image features. By integrating multi-view K-means clustering and AdaBoost classification methods, we introduced a dynamic weight adjustment mechanism and a region adjustment method based on a correlation coefficient to achieve pixel-type discrimination and target region extraction. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method exhibits good robustness and adaptability in complex detection environments. Under conditions of different occlusion, different signal-to-noise ratios, and different target reflectivity, the proposed algorithm significantly outperforms traditional region-growing segmentation methods in terms of accuracy of target region extraction. © 2025 SPIE.

Murals are an important part of China's cultural heritage. Because of their age, Dunhuang murals have suffered from discoloration, fading and damage. With the development of computer image restoration technology, digital image processing provides strong support for mural restoration. Although there are many research results in the field of ancient mural images, there is no pre-trained model based on ancient mural images available for migration. There is a method for Dunhuang murals image restoration based on Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) with improved ResNet50 structure as an encoder in the generator. This research result proposes a generative adversarial network model with a parallel double convolutional extraction of deep features for the generator, combined with a ternary heterogeneous joint discriminator. On this basis, this paper proposes a binary classification task to distinguish ancient mural images from modern natural style images, so that the model pre-learns features such as color, texture, and structure of mural images, which are inputted into the restoration network as a priori information, in order to achieve the effect of reducing the probability of incomplete restoration of the model, and better generalization ability. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper has an overall improvement in the evaluation indexes such as Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR) and Structural Similarities(SSIM) when compared with other methods, and the restored images are more in line with human subjective vision, which proves the validity of the method. © 2024 IEEE.

Comparison of pulse rate variability from post-auricula and heart rate variability during different body states for healthy subjects

Heart rate variability (HRV) extracted from the electrocardiogram (ECG) is an essential indicator for assessing the autonomic nervous system in clinical. Some scholars have studied the feasibility of pulse rate variability (PRV) instead of HRV. However, there is little qualitative research in different body states. In this paper, the photoplethysmography (PPG) of postauricular and finger and the ECG of fifteen subjects were synchronously collected for comparative analysis. The eleven experiments were designed according to the daily living state, including the stationary state, limb movement state, and facial movement state. The substitutability of nine variables was investigated in the time, frequency, and nonlinearity domain by Passing Bablok regression and Bland Altman analysis. The results showed that the PPG of the finger was destroyed in the limb movement state. There were six variables of postauricular PRV, which showed a positive linear relationship and good agreement (p > 0.05, ratio (Formula presented.) 0.2) with HRV in all experiments. Our study suggests that the postauricular PPG could retain the necessary information of the pulse signal under the limb movement state and facial movement state. Therefore, postauricular PPG could be a better substitute for HRV, daily PPG detection, and mobile health than finger PPG. © 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

The scarcity of fault samples presents a significant challenge for fault diagnosis in industrial processes. Conventional methods often fail to deliver satisfactory results when dealing with small sample sizes. In addressing the issue of small sample fault diagnosis in industrial processes, this paper utilizes the Variational Mode Reconstruction(VMR) algorithm to screen the best components decomposed by the Variational Mode Decomposition(VMD) through the envelope entropy then random weighting them and signal reconstruction to achieve data enhancement, to enrich the sample size and to prevent the model overfitting phenomenon due to the scarcity of samples. Meanwhile, this paper integrates Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short-term Memory Neural Network (LSTM) to propose a network model of spatio-temporal feature fusion for feature extraction and classification. The experiments demonstrate that this model not only enhances data diversity but also ensures consistency before and after enhancement, effectively mitigating overfitting. Furthermore, it guarantees high recognition and generalization rates in fault diagnosis. © 2024 IEEE.

To address the issue of clutter interference in ground-penetrating radar (GPR) imaging using a VNA (Vector Network Analyzer), this paper improves the traditional reverse time migration (RTM) technique for ultra-wideband GPR imaging. The improved method retains the effective signals in the detection wavefield as the valid imaging area and suppresses signals in non-valid areas. Due to variations in the distance between the transmitting and receiving antennas and the number of anomalies in the experiment, the traditional time window cross-correlation is not ideal for this scenario. The improved method automatically applies reasonable windowing to each data channel, avoiding the simultaneous enhancement of clutter interference and effective signals through direct stacking, and preventing the filtering out of effective signals. Experimental results demonstrate that this method, when applied to real measured data and compared with the traditional cross-correlation RTM method, shows advantages in more accurately locating anomalous areas and suppressing clutter interference. This validates that the Multiple Time-Gating Reverse Time Migration (MTG-RTM) method offers better localization and higher imaging accuracy in practical engineering applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Federated learning (FL) is a popular distributed paradigm where enormous clients collaboratively train a machine learning (ML) model under the orchestration of a central server without knowing the clients' private raw data. The development of effective FL algorithms faces multiple practical challenges including data heterogeneity and clients' privacy protection. Despite that numerous attempts have been made to deal with data heterogeneity or rigorous privacy protection, none have effectively tackled both issues simultaneously. In this article, we propose a differentially private and heterogeneity-robust FL algorithm, named DP-FedCVR to mitigate the data heterogeneity by following the client-variance-reduction strategy. Besides, it adopts a sophisticated differential privacy (DP) mechanism where the privacy-amplified strategy is applied, to achieve a rigorous privacy protection guarantee. We show that the proposed DP-FedCVR algorithm maintains its heterogeneity-robustness though DP noises are incorporated, while achieving a sublinear convergence rate for a nonconvex FL problem. Numerical experiments based on image classification tasks are presented to demonstrate that DP-FedCVR provides superior performance over the benchmark algorithms in the presence of data heterogeneity and various DP privacy budgets. © 2020 IEEE.

In the complex optimization scenarios of real life, we often need to not only weigh the conflicts between multi-objectives but also face the challenges brought by large-scale decision variables. When the scale of decision variables increases sharply, the search space will expand exponentially, which makes it difficult for the algorithm to traverse the whole search space under limited resources, so that the number of local optimal solutions increases sharply. The so-called 'dimension disaster' appears. To effectively deal with this problem, this paper proposes a large-scale multi-objective brainstorm optimization algorithm (LMaOBSO) based on low complexity decision variable classification method and improved penalty boundary intersection strategy. The algorithm uses a low-complexity tree sorting variable classification method to divide the decision variables into converges and diversity variables quickly. At the same time, the convergent variables are optimized by the improved penalty boundary crossover strategy to solve the problems existing in large-scale optimization problems. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
