Battery materials as emerging capacitive deionization electrodes for desalination have better salt removal capacities than traditional carbon-based ***_(2)O_(4),a widely used cathode mate-rial,is difficult to utilize as a deionization electrode due to its structural instability upon cycling and Mn dissolution in aqueous-based ***,a facile and low-cost ball-milling routine was proposed to prepare a LiMn_(2)O_(4)material with highly exposed(111)*** prepared electrode exhibited relatively low dissolution of Mn during cycling,which shows its long cycle *** the hybrid capacitive deionization system,the LiMn_(2)O_(4)/C electrode delivered a high desalination capacity of 117.3 mg g^(−1) without obvious capacity decay at a voltage of 1.0 V with a 20 mM initial salt *** addition,the exposed(111)facets significantly alleviated Mn ion dissolution,which also enhanced the structural steadiness.

Nonlinear industrial process fault diagnosis with latent label consistency and sparse Gaussian feature learning

With the increasing complexity of industrial processes, the high-dimensional industrial data exhibit a strong nonlinearity, bringing considerable challenges to the fault diagnosis of industrial processes. To efficiently extract deep meaningful features that are crucial for fault diagnosis, a sparse Gaussian feature extractor(SGFE) is designed to learn a nonlinear mapping that projects the raw data into the feature space with the fault label dimension. The feature space is described by the one-hot encoding of the fault category label as an orthogonal basis. In this way, the deep sparse Gaussian features related to fault categories can be gradually learned from the raw data by SGFE. In the feature space,the sparse Gaussian(SG) loss function is designed to constrain the distribution of features to multiple sparse multivariate Gaussian distributions. The sparse Gaussian features are linearly separable in the feature space, which is conducive to improving the accuracy of the downstream fault classification task. The feasibility and practical utility of the proposed SGFE are verified by the handwritten digits MNIST benchmark and Tennessee-Eastman(TE) benchmark process,respectively.

With the increasing demand for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), the recycling processes of LIBs have aroused more attention. However, benefits remain limited due to inadequate advanced recycling technologies and low volumes of spent LIBs. In this research, an muti-objective evaluation and prediction system is established for six typical LIBs recycling processes. The direct recycling process of LiNixCoyMn1-x-yO2 (NMC) obtains the highest benefits of 10.07 USD/kg. Recycling NMC can achieve benefits from 10 to 28 USD/kg which is higher than that of LiFePO4 (LFP) because it contains critical metals. The cathode remanufacturing processes generate revenue between 0.64 and 11.9 USD/kg. The contribution of Co and Ni in spent LIBs with the market sizes expected to 3.8-8 × 109 USD and 7.5-9.5 × 109 USD by *** high benefit scenario forecasts total recycling LIBs return to 14.15 × 106 USD by 2040 in China. This research provides guidance for selecting profitable recycling methods, improves sustainable development of metal resources. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have attracted much attention due to their rapidly increased power conversion efficiencies,however,their inherent poor long-term stability hinders their *** degradation of PSCs first comes from the degradation of hole transport materials(HTMs).Here,we report the construction of periodicπ-columnar arrays and ionic interfaces over the skeletons by introducing cationic covalent organic frameworks(C-COFs)to the ***π-columnar arrays can optimize the charge transport ability and energy levels of the hole transport layer and suppress the degradation of HTM,and ionic interfaces over the skeletons can produce stronger electric dipole and electrostatic interactions,as well as higher charge *** C-COFs were designed and synthesized via Schiff base reaction by using 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol as a neutral knot and dimidium bromide as cationic *** neutral COFs(N-COFs)were also synthesized as a reference by using 3,8-diamino-6-phenylphenanthridine as neutral *** with cationic COF exhibit the highest efficiency of 23.4%with excellent humidity and thermal *** the best of our knowledge,this is the highest efficiency among the meso-structured PSCs fabricated by a sequential process.

Decentralized Zeno-Free Event-Triggered control For Multiple Networks Subject to Stochastic Network Delays and Poisson Pulsing Attacks

By designing the decentralized time-regularized (Zeno-free) event-triggered strategies for the state-feedback control law, this paper considers the stochastic stabilization of a class of networked control systems, where two sources of randomness exist in multiple decentralized networks that operate asynchronously and independently: the communication channels are constrained by the stochastic network delays and also by Poisson pulsing denial-of-service (Pp-DoS) attacks. The time delay in the network denotes the length from a transmission instant to the corresponding update instant, and is supposed to be a continuous random variable subject to certain continuous probability distribution;while the attacks' cardinal number is a discrete random variable supposed to be subject to Poisson distribution, so the inter-attack time, i.e., the time between two consecutive attack instants, is subject to exponential distribution. The considered system is modeled as a stochastic hybrid formalism, where the randomness enters through the jump map into the reset value (the inter-attack time directly related) of each triggered strategy. By only sampling/transmitting state measurements when needed and simultaneously by taking the specific medium access protocols into account, the designed event-triggered strategies are synthesized in a state-based and decentralized form, which are robust (tolerable well) to stochastic network delays, under different tradeoff-conditions between the minimum inter-event times, maximum allowable delays (i.e., potentially tolerable delays) and the frequencies of attacks. Using stochastic hybrid tools to combine attack-active parts with attack-over parts, the designed triggered strategies, if designed well according to the actual system needs, can tolerate (be resilient to) the Pp-DoS attacks and stochastic network delays without jeopardizing the stability and Zeno-freeness, which is verified by the robust global attitude stabilization of flexible combined ro

Cardiovascular diseases are serious pathologies that affect an increasing number of people. Several preventive measures are generally used, including supplementing of oils in foods. Our objective was to compare the effects of Tetracarpidum conophorum oil (TC) and corn oil (CO) on serum lipid profiles of normal male rats. 42 Wistar rats were divided into 7 groups. Diets included TC oil (groups TC5, TC10 and TC20) and corn oil (groups CO5, CO10 and CO20) in proportions of 5%, 10% and 20%, with a control group (T). After 5 weeks of feeding, several parameters were measured during and after the study, including body weight, food intake and organ weights (kidney, liver and fat). Lipid profiles (total cholesterol, TG, HDL and LDL), glucose and protein levels were measured in the serum. The increase in body mass was inversely proportional to the amount of oil in the food. The decrease in body mass and adiposomatic index of group TC10 was significant (p < 0.05) compared with the other groups. The lowest glycaemia (64.17 ± 5.14 mg/dl) was noted with the diet containing 20% TC oil. A significant reduction in total cholesterol, LDL fraction and blood triglycerides was observed in the groups supplemented with TC and corn oils compared to controls. Results were also more beneficial for the TC10 group. HDL-cholesterol levels were significantly higher (p < 0.05) in the oil-supplemented groups than in the control group. Castelli’s risk indices decrease significantly (p < 0.05) with increasing oil content for TC. The oils had no impact on blood protein contents. One can conclude that a diet containing 10% crude oil from TC kernels could prevent or alleviate cardiovascular diseases and glycemia.

In this work,Z-scheme V_(2)O_(5) loaded fluorinated inverse opal carbon nitride(IO F-CN/V_(2)O_(5)) was synthesized as a product of ternary collaborative modification with heterostructure construction,element doping and inverse opal *** catalyst presented the highest photocatalytic activity and rate constant for degradation of typical organic pollutants Rhodamine B(RhB)and was also used for the efficient removal of antibiotics,represented by norfloxacin(NOR),sulfadiazine(SD)and levofloxacin(LVX).Characterizations confirmed its increased specific surface area,narrowed bandgap,and enhanced visible light utilization *** mechanism study including band structure study and electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)proved the successful construction of Z-scheme heterojunction,which improved photogenerated charge carrier migration and provide sufficient free radicals for the degradation *** combination of different modifications contributed to the synergetic improvement of removal efficiency towards different organic pollutants.

Robustness of gross primary production estimation from long-term reconstructed solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence varies with greenness on a global scale

Long-term reconstructed solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) derived from raw gridded SIF has been used for the estimation of gross primary production (GPP), but the robustness of the spatial relationship may vary from location to location. We examined the often-used linear relationship between GPP and SIF in terms of R2 values for varied locations globally using three GPP datasets (FLUXCOM, VPM, PML) and three long-term reconstructed monthly SIF datasets (CSIF, SIF005, and RTSIF). The results show that the R2 value is a concave function of vegetation greenness level (NDVI) on an annual or seasonal basis. The average R2 is over 0.8 in areas where the annual average NDVI is in the range of 0.4 to 0.6, whereas the R2 is much lower where the annual average NDVI is less than 0.2 or greater than 0.8. Prediction of GPP or SIF by three methods from five major environmental variables revealed greater uncertainties in GPP and/or SIF at low or high greenness levels as an apparent cause of the low R2. The results offer useful insights into how global GPP may be effectively estimated from multi-satellite measured SIF. © 2025 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE).
