Underwater ghost imaging is an effective means of underwater detection. In this paper, a theoretical and experimental study of underwater ghost imaging is carried out by combining the description of underwater optical field transmission with the inherent optical parameters of the water body. This paper utilizes the Wells model and the approximate S-S scattering phase function to create a model for optical transmission underwater. The second-order Glauber function of the optical field is then employed to analyze the scattering field's degradation during the transmission process. This analysis is used to evaluate the impact of the water body on ghost imaging. The simulation and experimental results verify that the proposed underwater ghost imaging model can better describe the degradation effect of water bodies on ghost imaging. A series of experiments comparing underwater ghost imaging at different detection distances are also carried out in this paper. In the experiments, cooperative targets can be imaged up to 65.2m (9.3AL, at attenuation coefficient c=0.1426m-1 and the scattering coefficient b=0.052m-1) and non-cooperative targets up to 41.2m (6.4AL, at c=0.1569m-1 and b=0.081m-1) . By equating the experimental maximum imaged attenuation length for cooperative targets to Jerlov-I water (b=0.002m-1 and a=0.046m-1), the system will have a maximum imaging distance of 193m. Underwater ghost imaging is expected to achieve longer-range imaging by optimizing the system emission energy and detection sensitivity. © 2023, CC BY-NC-SA.

This paper considers distributed online nonconvex optimization with time-varying inequality constraints over a network of agents. For a time-varying graph, we propose a distributed online primal–dual algorithm with compressed communication to efficiently utilize communication resources. We show that the proposed algorithm establishes an O(T max{1−θ1,θ1}) network regret bound and an O(T 1−θ1/2) network cumulative constraint violation bound, where T is the number of iterations and θ1 ∈ (0, 1) is a user-defined trade-off parameter. When Slater’s condition holds (i.e, there is a point that strictly satisfies the inequality constraints at all iterations), the network cumulative constraint violation bound is reduced to O(T 1−θ1). These bounds are comparable to the state-of-the-art results established by existing distributed online algorithms with perfect communication for distributed online convex optimization with (time-varying) inequality constraints. This study systematically investigated the transfer patterns of pesticides and mycotoxins during Astragalus processing. A total of 13 pesticides and 9 mycotoxins were detected, phosphamidon and fenamiphos-sulfoxide had the highest detection rates and levels, while deoxynivalenol and T-2 toxin were the most abundant mycotoxins. Water extraction and alcohol precipitation reduced pesticide residues (processing factors 0.01-2.17), but drying increased most pesticide residues (e.g., phorate-sulfoxide with a maximum processing factor of 22.41). Pesticide processing factors correlated positively with melting point, water solubility, and vapor pressure, and negatively with molecular weight and octanol-water partition coefficient. Mycotoxin processing factors had different correlations. Risk assessment indicates that demeton and fenamiphos-sulfoxide may cause harm during the drying process. This study provides important data for the control of pesticide and mycotoxin residues in processed products, which is of theoretical and practical value for guaranteeing the quality and safety of Astragalus. © 2025, The Authors. DRLAttack: A Deep Reinforcement Learning-Based Framework for Data Poisoning Attack on Collaborative Filtering Algorithms

Collaborative filtering, as a widely used recommendation method, is widely applied but susceptible to data poisoning attacks, where malicious actors inject synthetic user interaction data to manipulate recommendation results and secure illicit benefits. Traditional poisoning attack methods require in-depth understanding of the recommendation system. However, they fail to address its dynamic nature and algorithmic complexity, thereby hindering effective breaches of the system’s defensive mechanisms. In this paper, we propose DRLAttack, a deep reinforcement learning-based framework for data poisoning attacks. DRLAttack can launch both white-box and black-box data poisoning attacks. In the white-box setting, DRLAttack dynamically tailors attack strategies to recommendation context changes, generating more potent and stealthy fake user interactions for the precise targeting of data poisoning. Furthermore, we extend DRLAttack to black-box settings. By introducing spy users to simulate the behavior of active and inactive users into the training dataset, we indirectly obtain the promotion status of target items and adjust the attack strategy in response. Experimental results on real-world recommendation system datasets demonstrate that DRLAttack can effectively manipulate recommendation results.

The characteristics of lake dissolved organic matter (DOM) pool and lake ecosystem interact, and studying the responses between sediment DOM characteristics and lake ecosystem changes may shed light on the inherent connection between ecosystem evolution and carbon biogeochemical cycles. Lakes in cold and arid regions are sensitive to changes and accumulate large amounts of carbon as DOM, which may provide a window into more explicit relationships between ecosystem evolution and changes in sediment DOM characteristics in time dimension. However, considerable blind spots exist in the responses between the sediment DOM and ecosystem evolution on time scale and the underlying mechanisms. In this study, multiple approaches were combined to investigate the relationship between the variation trend of sediment DOM characteristics and the evolution of fragile lake ecosystems across three different lake ecosystems in cold and arid regions of China. A strong positive relationship between sediment DOM stabilities, especially humification, and ecosystem degradation was found, consistent for the three lakes. Ultra-high-resolution mass spectrometry and structural equation modeling revealed that the changes of ecosystems affected sediment DOM stability through direct pathways (0.24), such as the contents of terrestrial DOM in lake DOM pool, and indirect pathways, including algae-mediated (0.43) and salinity-mediated pathways (0.22), which all increased the contents of refractory DOM in the lake DOM pool and sediments. Based on the fact that DOM stability changes could act on the ecosystem in turn, a possible positive feedback mechanism between ecosystem degradation and increased DOM stability was further inferred. These results suggested that the continuous increased stability of sediment DOM in may implies ecosystem degradation of lakes in the cold and arid regions. For quadrotor trajectory planning, describing a polynomial trajectory through coefficients and end-derivatives both enjoy their own convenience in energy minimization. We name them double descriptions of polynomial trajectories. The transformation between them, causing most of the inefficiency and instability, is formally analyzed in this paper. Leveraging its analytic structure, we design a linear-complexity scheme for both jerk/snap minimization and parameter gradient evaluation, which possesses efficiency, stability, flexibility, and scalability. With the help of our scheme, generating an energy optimal (minimum snap) trajectory only costs 1 µs per piece at the scale up to 1,000,000 pieces. Moreover, generating large-scale energy-time optimal trajectories is also accelerated by an order of magnitude against conventional methods.

Lithium supply risk is increasing and is driving the rapid progress of recycling schemes for lithium from spent lithium-ion batteries. In this study, a facile recycling process consisting mainly of reduction roasting and NaHCO3 leaching was adopted to improve lithium recovery. Li2CO3 and LiAlO2 were formed with the reduction effect of C and residual Al of spent LiNixCoyMnzO2 powder in the roasting process. NaHCO3 leaching was utilized to dissolve lithium of Li2CO3 and water-insoluble LiAlO2 selectively. More than 99.2% of lithium was leached and recovered as a Li2CO3 product with a purity of 99.8%, and NaHCO3 could be recycled as by-product. Thus, a highly efficient and selective approach for recovering lithium from spent LIB powder is provided in this study. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Mobilized energy storage (MES) can provide a variety of services for power systems, including peak shaving, frequency regulation, and congestion alleviation. In this paper, we develop an MES sharing approach based on temporal-spatial network (TSN) toward systemwide temporal-spatial flexibility enhancement, specifically in which the heavy-duty vehicles can exchange batteries at the energy storage stations connected with power grids. To achieve the temporal-spatial coordination of transportation and power systems, we propose a coordinated scheduling model. A decentralized algorithm based on the improved optimality condition decomposition (OCD) algorithm is proposed to address the information asymmetry between transportation and power systems while enhancing computational efficiency. Case studies based on IEEE 30-/118-bus and transportation systems demonstrate that MESs using the proposed approach can significantly improve the utilization of batteries while reducing operating costs by over 40% compared with stationary energy storages (SESs).
