IIIM-SAM: Zero-Shot Texture Anomaly Detection Without External Prompts

Anomaly detection is a crucial aspect in ensuring the reliability of industrial products in smart manufacturing. Despite employing unsupervised anomaly detection methods to mitigate the challenges associated with obtaining defect data, there remains the challenge of adapting anomaly detectors to drift within normal data distributions, especially when there are significant intra-class variations in normal samples. Consequently, zero-shot anomaly detection techniques, which do not require training data and thus avoid interference from training data, have emerged as a new research direction. Meanwhile, the zero-shot segmentation capability demonstrated by the Segment Anything Mode (SAM) visual foundation model has further fueled our research enthusiasm. In this paper, we focus on texture images and propose a no-external prompt SAM-based method for zero-shot texture anomaly detection, called Image Internal information Mining SAM (IIIM-SAM). We utilize the Image Internal information Mining Prompter to mine relationships between internal regions of the image, identifying specific background and potential defect points. The two types of prompt points are fed into the SAM model in different stages, imparting the SAM with incorporating category information segmentation capability. Unlike current methods, our zero-shot texture anomaly detection method requires no external prompts or expert knowledge, and also avoids the uncertainty introduced by text prompts necessary for CLIP-based approaches. Our experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our zero-shot texture anomaly detection method compared to other approaches. Specifically, in the texture subset of MVTecAD/KolektorSDD2, our IIIM-SAM achieves 99.2%/93.6% image-level AUROC and 98.6%/92.3% pixel-level AUROC. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

In the field of image processing, blind image deblurring aims to restore sharp details in images blurred by an unknown convolution kernel. Recent advancements have shown that deep networks can act as effective image generative priors (DIP) for restoring clear images without requiring external datasets. However, the inherent non-uniqueness of solutions in blind image deblurring often leads DIP-based methods to converge on local optima, resulting in over- or under-deblurred images. To overcome this limitation, we propose a novel deblurring framework featuring dual image generators. These generators mutually constrain each other during training, guiding the model towards the optimal solution. Building on our network structure, we employ a self-ensemble and self-distillation strategy to guide network training, further enhancing performance. Additionally, we introduce a novel loss function based on a pixel screening method, which focuses on the important pixels. This loss enables the network to model the blur kernel more accurately and facilitates the restoration of image details. Our experiments demonstrate that our deblurring approach outperforms most existing methods both qualitatively and quantitatively. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Space-time video super-resolution aims to simultaneously increase the space-time resolution of low-resolution and low frame-rate videos. Existing deep learning-based methods have made notable strides, predominantly achieving space-time video super-resolution through the relatively simple integration of modules for video super-resolution and video frame interpolation sub-tasks. However, these methods typically do not fully exploit the inherent relationships between the two sub-tasks. To address this limitation, we propose a Complementary Dual-Branch Network designed to better explore the interdependence of the two sub-tasks. Specifically, our dual-branch architecture facilitates mutual enhancement between video super-resolution and video frame interpolation sub-tasks within each branch and provides mutual guidance between the two branches. Additionally, we introduce a simple yet effective strategy for the rough estimation of optical flow, incorporating Flow-Guided Deformable Alignment into space-time video super-resolution to achieve precise motion estimation. In addition, we use an RNN-based Backward and Forward Recurrent module to ensure that all frames can utilize the information of the whole sequence. It is more efficient and memory saving compared to the currently popular bidirectional LSTM module. Experimental results on several datasets show that our method achieves superior accuracy and requires fewer parameters compared to state-of-the-art methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Constructing effective algorithms to converge to Nash Equilibrium (NE) is a important problem in algorithmic game theory. Prior research generally posits that the upper bound on the convergence rate for games is OT-1/2. This paper introduces a novel perspective, positing that the key to accelerating convergence in game theory is "rationality". Based on this concept, we propose a Dynamic Weighted Fictitious Play (DW-FP) algorithm. We demonstrate that this algorithm can converge to a NE and exhibits a convergence rate of O(T-1) in experimental evaluations. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Pixel-Level Multidirectional Image Sharpness Linear Assessment for Optical Image Stabilizer Performance Monitoring

Linear quantification of blur intensity in different directions of an image and blur-type classification are crucial for the detection of anomalies and optimization calibration of widely used optical image stabilizer (OIS). However, previous image quality assessment methods mainly focused on isotropic blur, emphasizing the correlation with subjective ratings, making it difficult to provide multidirectional linear sharpness assessment. Moreover, they invariably offer a single evaluation score regardless of the kind of fuzziness. In this article, we propose a pixel-level multidirectional image sharpness (PMIS) linear assessment method that, to our knowledge, is the first to provide the capability to linearly quantify blur across multiple directions and distinguish blur types in an end-to-end manner while assessing the degree of image blur. We introduce a novel method for extracting edge information to characterize image blur, significantly enhancing correlation with the human visual system (HVS) in blur perception by filtering out high-frequency edge noise. Uniform edge block selection and data postprocessing are introduced to adapt to HVS characteristics and enhance robustness. Using blur results from four different directions and simply setting thresholds, we are able to achieve an 84.5% classification accuracy in distinguishing between defocus blur, motion blur, and clear images. In addition, we creatively make a motion blur image quality (MBIQ) database, accurately representing motion blur through the concrete physical quantity of rotational speed. Experimental results confirm that PMIS achieves significant improvements over the previous methods especially on databases with anisotropic motion blur. © 2025 IEEE.

In this paper,we investigate the application of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)-enabled relaying system in emergency communications,where one UAV is applied as a relay to help transmit information from ground users to a Base Station(BS).We maximize the total transmitted data from the users to the BS,by optimizing the user communication scheduling and association along with the power allocation and the trajectory of the *** solve this non-convex optimization problem,we propose the traditional Convex Optimization(CO)and the Reinforcement Learning(RL)-based ***,we apply the block coordinate descent and successive convex approximation techniques in the CO approach,while applying the soft actor-critic algorithm in the RL *** simulation results show that both approaches can solve the proposed optimization problem and obtain good ***,the RL approach establishes emergency communications more rapidly than the CO approach once the training process has been completed.

Enhancing GNSS Signal Authentication through Multi-Antenna Systems

The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver has become indispensable in navigation applications due to its affordability and reliable accuracy. Despite its widespread use, GNSS is vulnerable to manipulation by malicious entities within the inherently insecure wireless landscape. This paper proposes innovative GNSS signal authentication strategies that employing multiple antennas to counteract spoofing attacks. Leveraging a multi-antenna framework enhances the distinguishability of spoofing signals over traditional single-antenna configurations. Importantly, the proposed approaches capitalize on spatial characteristics, which are independent of the GNSS signal's intrinsic features, to accurately identify spoofing attacks. Specifically, we propose a Direction-of-Arrival (DOA)-based authentication scheme to address scenarios where authentic signals are blocked during spoofing attacks. Additionally, for situations where both authentic and spoofing signals coexist at the receiver, we propose a Spatial Filter (SF)-based authentication scheme. Through rigorous theoretical analysis and comprehensive simulations, we not only validate the proposed schemes but also demonstrate their robustness and effectiveness in enhancing GNSS signal security. The simulation results, aligning closely with theoretical predictions, underscore the superiority of the proposed schemes in safeguarding against spoofing threats. © 2002-2012 IEEE.

Label Semantic Dynamic Guidance Network for Remote Sensing Image Scene Classification

The remote sensing image scene classification continues to face significant challenges due to high intraclass diversity and interclass similarity. Existing methods mainly use semantic associations between images to establish deep semantic associations between classes, ignoring the rich high-level semantic knowledge contained in the label text. This high-level information are especially valuable for distinguishing between confusing categories, as it enables the model to capture both similarity and distinctive features effectively. In this article, we introduce a novel approach that incorporates label semantic information and proposes a plug-and-play framework to guide classification model learning of intraclass and interclass relationships. Specifically, our framework includes a dynamic soft label module (DSLM), which uses textual semantics to facilitate classification model learning of interclass relationships via soft labels at the target level. In addition, we design a coarse-to-fine contrastive module (CFCM) to integrate textual semantics into contrastive learning, guiding the model in capturing intraclass and interclass relationships at the feature level. Our framework is compatible with both convolutional neural network (CNN)-based and vision transformer (ViT)-based classification architectures and is employed solely during training to minimize computational overhead. Experimental results on four datasets validate the effectiveness of our approach. © 2025 IEEE.

Object-Aware Video Matting with Cross-Frame Guidance

Recently, trimap-free methods have drawn increasing attention in human video matting due to their promising performance. Nevertheless, these methods still suffer from the lack of deterministic foreground-background cues, which impairs their ability to consistently identify and locate foreground targets over time and mine fine-grained details. In this paper, we present a trimap-free Object-Aware Video Matting (OAVM) framework, which can perceive different objects, enabling joint recognition of foreground objects and refinement of edge details. Specifically, we propose an Object-Guided Correction and Refinement (OGCR) module, which employs cross-frame guidance to aggregate object-level instance information into pixel-level detail features, thereby promoting their synergy. Furthermore, we design a Sequential Foreground Merging augmentation strategy to diversify sequential scenarios and enhance capacity of the network for object discrimination. Extensive experiments on recent widely used synthetic and real-world benchmarks demonstrate the state-of-the-art performance of our OAVM with only an initial coarse mask. Surface-PMSM Sensorless Control Strategy Based on Reduced-Order Linear Kalman Filter Cooperating with Prediction Error Rolling Compensation

Kalman filter (KF) is increasingly attracted for sensorless control of surface permanent magnet synchronous motors (SPMSMs) due to its strong robustness against measurement and system noise. However, conventional method suffers from poor position and speed estimation accuracy under dynamic conditions, and high computational cost. In order to solve these problems, an enhanced sensorless control strategy based on reduced-order linear Kalman filter (RLKF) cooperating with prediction error rolling compensation is introduced in this paper. Differing from conventional method, a reduced-order linear state equation encompassing rotor position, speed and torque disturbance is constructed. Then, by obtaining the prediction error of system output using the motor current equation in the predictive reference frame, the optimal estimation of rotor position and speed in KF algorithm is achieved based on the reduced-order model. This not only simplifies the calculation process, but also enhances the position and speed estimation accuracy under dynamic conditions. Meanwhile, a prediction error rolling compensation algorithm is developed to minimize the estimation deviations caused by motor parameters variations. Additionally, the system's dynamic performance is further improved with an adopted speed controller based on torque disturbance feedforward and acceleration feedback. Finally, experimental results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed strategy.1 © 1986-2012 IEEE.
