In large-scale asynchronous distributed virtual environments(DVEs), one of the difficult problems is to deliver the concurrent events in a consistent order at each node. Generally, the previous consistency control approaches can be classified into two categories: causal order and time stamped order. However, causal order approaches can merely preserve the cause-effect relation of events and time stamped order approaches seem intrinsically complex to be used in serverless large-scale asynchronous DVEs. In this paper, we proposed a novel distributed algorithm to identify the concurrent events and preserve the consistent order delivery of them at different nodes. Simulation studies are also carried out to compare the performance of this algorithm with that of the previous ones. The results show that the new algorithm can effectively deliver the concurrent events in consistent order at each node and is more efficient than the previous algorithms in large-scale asynchronous DVEs. © 2010 IEEE.

In this paper, we introduce an improved relative channel reciprocity calibration method in TDD massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. The improved calibration method divide the massive MIMO system into one Single-Input Single-Output (SISO) system and two Single-Input Multiple-Output (SIMO) systems instead of calibrating the massive MIMO directly. We select the channel with high channel gain to be the reference channel (the SISO system), the antennas of the SISO system are the reference antennas. At the same station the reference antenna and the other antennas consist the SIMO system. The three systems include all the receive circuitry and the transmit circuitry information of the massive MIMO system. We calibrate the three systems and acquire the calibration coefficients. Then we use the calibration coefficients of the three systems to calibrate the massive MIMO system. The proposed calibration method in this paper can reduce the amount of feedback and the computation complexity compared with calibrating the massive MIMO directly. What's more, the improved calibration method outperforms the traditional calibration method under high-speed mobile environment.

This paper presents a load balancing method for a multi-block grids-based CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) application on heterogeneous platform. This method includes an asymmetric task scheduling scheme and a load balancing model. The idea is to balance the computing speed between the CPU and the coprocessor by adjusting the workload and the numbers of threads on both sides. Optimal load balance parameters are empirically selected, guided by a performance model. Performance evaluation is conducted on a computer server consists of two Intel Xeon E5-2670 v3 CPUs and two MIC coprocessors (Xeon Phi 5110P and Xeon Phi 7120P) for the simulation of turbulent combustion in a supersonic combustor. The results show that the performance is highly sensitive to the load balance parameters. With the optimal parameters, the heterogeneous computing achieves a maximum speedup of 2.30 × for a 6-block mesh, and a maximum speedup of 2.66 × for a 8-block mesh, over the CPU-only computing.

Thanks to the emergence of transformers and Vision Transformer (VIT), attention mechanisms have also been applied to medical image registration. However, the current attention mechanisms in medical image registration suffer from incomplete information interaction. Common unsupervised registration methods may be constrained by the imperfect medical image data with uncertainty and noise, leading to unstable registration results susceptible to *** address these evident drawbacks, this paper proposes a novel medical image registration method, namely, Registration Based on Dual-Window Attention and Multi-Latent Space(DW-MLSR). The Dual-Window attention mechanism introduced in this paper enables the model to comprehensively focus on crucial local regions in the image, thereby improving registration accuracy and robustness. Meanwhile, MLS, employed as a data augmentation method, enhances the model's generalization ability and robustness by learning latent image representations, providing richer image *** results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed medical image registration method over mainstream registration models. Comparative experiments indicate that our approach holds significant application potential in the field of medical image registration. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In this paper, we propose an indoor robot autonomous navigation system. The robot firstly explores in an unknown environment, and then navigates autonomously by using the explored map. The robot is equipped a 2D laser scanner as the main sensor. The laser scanner is used for path planning and frontier-based exploration. A 2D global occupancy map is built for path planning, frontier-based exploration and multi-objective autonomous navigation. Laser scans are transmitted into Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) process in the exploration phase. In indoor environment, the exploration efficiency is improved by merging a heuristic algorithm. By using multi-threading technology and a 3D perception approach proposed in this paper, the robot equipped with a low-cost RGBD sensor can detect all kinds of obstacles to achieve highly reliable navigation in complicated 3D environment. Meanwhile, we develop a multi-objective navigation application to make human-robot interaction more convenient and satisfy multi-task deployment. Our approaches are demonstrated by experimental results.

Defect detection aims to locate the accurate position of defects in images, which is of great significance to quality inspection in the industrial product manufacturing. Currently, many defect detection methods rely on deep neural networks to extract features. Although the accuracy of these methods is relatively high, it is computationally intensive, making the methods difficult to deploy in resource-limited edge devices. In order to solve these problems, a lightweight defect detection model for the industrial edge environment is proposed, termed the efficient defect detection network (EDDNet). EfficientNet-B0 is used as the feature extraction backbone, extracting feature maps from feature layers of different depths of the network and fusing multilevel features by multilevel feature fusion (MFF). To obtain more information, we redesign the attention mechanism in MBConv blocks, taking the encoding space (ES) attention mechanism as a new module, which solves the problem that the defective image spatial information is ignored. The experimental results on the NEU-DET and DAGM2007 datasets and PCB defect datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed EDDNet and its possibility for application in industrial edge device.

Network moving target defense technology can effectively defend against attacker monitoring of the service. The technology makes it more difficult for attackers to attack and can ensure secure communication for services. However, there may be multiple network attacks in the network. As a result, there may be security problems with the trustworthiness of the network resource mutation space required for network moving target defense technology. The focus of current researches is mostly on the mutation timing and cost optimization of the resource mutation space. It may lead to the possibility that the resources in the resource mutation space have been already under network attacks. In this paper, we propose a hybrid routing mutation mechanism based on mutation cost and resource trustworthiness in SDN networks. The mechanism is able to evaluate the routing mutation space selected by the routing-based network moving target defense technology. In terms of both mutation cost and resource trustworthiness, the optimal weighting ratio of the two factors will be to discovered. Simulation results show that the proposed mechanism can effectively enhance the ability of the routing mutation space to avoid attacked nodes and links and improve the transmission success rate of services. © 2022 IEEE.

Existing routing algorithms in Flying Ad-Hoc Net- works (FANETs) lack the optimization consideration of destruction resistance cost caused by routing recovery when some nodes fail suddenly. In this paper, we propose a hybrid routing algorithm based on destruction resistance cost and reliability. Based on the real-time network topology and network state, the algorithm can provide a multi-parameters-based routing path with low destruction resistance cost for communication transmission. It can ensure that the main routing path can be quickly recovered after interruption and reduce the process of discovering new routing paths. We have constructed a variety of simulation scenarios to analyze the proposed algorithm and the existing algorithms. The simulation results show that the pro- posed algorithm has good performance in reducing destruction resistance cost. © 2021 IEEE.

As a new stage in the development of the cloud computing paradigm, serverless computing has the high-level abstraction characteristic of shielding underlying details. This makes it extremely challenging for users to choose a suitable serverless platform. To address this, targeting the jointcloud computing scenario of heterogeneous serverless platforms across multiple clouds, this paper presents a jointcloud collaborative mechanism called FCloudless with cross-cloud detection of the full lifecycle performance of serverless platforms. Based on the benchmark metrics set that probe performance critical stages of the full lifecycle, this paper proposes a performance optimization algorithm based on detected performance data that takes into account all key stages that affect the performance during the lifecycle of a function and predicts the overall performance by combining the scores of local stages and dynamic weights. We evaluate FCloudless on AWS, AliYun, and Azure. The experimental results show that FCloudless can detect the underlying performance of serverless platforms hidden in the black box and its optimization algorithm can select the optimal scheduling strategy for various applications in a jointcloud environment. FCloudless reduces the runtime by 23.3% and 24.7% for cold and warm invocations respectively under cost constraints.
