The white light interferometry technique can measure the three-dimensional topography of ultra-precise complex surface with sub-nanometer resolution and precision, and has been widely concerned by academia and industry since it was proposed. The measurement range of white light interferometry technology is usually limited by the size of the optical field of view of the system, and the surface of the measured object can only be measured within the limited range of the camera's single imaging. In order to obtain the microscopic surface topography with a larger field of view, it is usually necessary to conduct stitching measurement. In this paper, a measurement method of aperture stitching of white light interferometry based on feature extraction is presented. The first step is subaperture partitioning and data preprocessing. The second step is feature extraction. The feature points are extracted by the Speeded-Up Robust Features (SURF) algorithm. The third step is to identify and filter wrong match points in the feature extraction algorithm using the Random Sample Consensus (RANSAC) algorithm. The fourth step is to use the improved Iterative Closest Point (ICP) algorithm to accurately register the point cloud, and perform data fusion in the overlapping region to complete the reconstruction of the microscopic three-dimensional surface topography. This method is used to measure the microstructure of quartz vibratory beam accelerometer. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has a faster speed than the traditional algorithm while maintaining high precision. © COPYRIGHT SPIE.

Zika virus(ZIKV) has emerged as a global health priority due to its association with severe congenital abnormalities, including microcephaly and neonatal mortality in infants born to infected mothers. In adults, ZIKV infection is epidemiologically linked to Guillain-Barré Syndrome(GBS). These clinical manifestations prompted the World Health Organization(WHO) to declare ZIKV a Public Health Emergency of International Concern(PHEIC). The antibody-dependent enhancement(ADE) phenomenon further complicates vaccine development and therapeutic strategies. While substantial progress has been made in elucidating ZIKV biology through multidisciplinary approaches, no vaccines or therapies have been clinically approved. This review examines ZIKV-associated risks by analyzing transmission dynamics, viral architecture, and cellular entry mechanisms, and proposes evidence-based prevention and management strategies.

Phase-sensitive optical time-domain reflectometry (Φ-OTDR) can quickly characterize the weak vibration signals along the sensing fiber by demodulating the Rayleigh backscattering (RBS) light. It features a millisecond or sub-millisecond fast response and nanostrain detection sensitivity, and has broad application fields. However, the maximum measurement distance of Φ-OTDR system is limited by the nonlinear threshold and transmission loss of sensing fiber and the ultralow power of RBS light. In this paper, a 250 km ultra-long sensing distance single-end Φ-OTDR system with 20m spatial resolution (SR) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated, assisted by using a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) and an acoustic-optic modulator (AOM) cascade to obtain a high extinction ratio (ER) probe pulse, and combining co-pumping distributed Raman amplification (DRA) technology and remotely pumped optical amplification (RPOA) technology. With the elaborate design, the 250 km sensing fiber is divided into three segments, the first 25 km segment sensing fiber is used to delay the injection of the Raman pump, to further achieve the maximum sensing distance without triggering the nonlinear effects;then the co-pumping DRA based on 1480 nm pump laser diode provides gain mainly in the next 100 km segment, then the residual 1480nm pump source provides energy to the erbium-doped fiber to realize the inversion of the particle number, and finally amplifies the RBS light by the process of stimulated radiation in the last 125 km segment. According to our research, this is the maximum sensing distance of Φ-OTDR system achieved without assisted by active repeaters and counter-pumping distributed amplification. © 2025 SPIE.

In order to solve the problem of Doppler shift caused by high speed movement of maglev train and high carrier frequency of train-ground wireless communication system, this paper studies the Doppler shift estimation algorithm of SC-FDE system, and proposes a two-stage estimation algorithm based on the excellent correlation characteristics of Gray sequence. Firstly, the coarse estimation and compensation of Doppler shift are carried out by using the gray sequence in the preamble training sequence. Then the fine estimation and compensation of Doppler shift are carried out by using the gray sequence inserted in the data block. Simulation analysis and experimental verification are carried out. The results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the throughput performance of train-ground wireless communication system in high-speed mobile environment. The algorithm has high estimation accuracy and is easy to be implemented by hardware. It can be extended to SC-FDE systems in other large Doppler scenarios. © The Authors. Candidate bacterial phylum CSP1-3 has not been cultivated and is poorly understood. Here, we analyzed 112 CSP1-3 metagenome-assembled genomes and showed they are likely facultative anaerobes, with 3 of 5 families encoding autotrophy through the reductive glycine pathway(RGP), Wood–Ljungdahl pathway(WLP) or Calvin-Benson-Bassham(CBB), with hydrogen or sulfide as electron donors. Chemoautotrophic enrichments from hot spring sediments and fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed enrichment of six CSP1-3 genera, and both transcribed genes and DNA-stable isotope probing were consistent with proposed chemoautotrophic metabolisms. Ancestral state reconstructions showed that the ancestors of phylum CSP1-3 may have been acetogens that were autotrophic via the RGP, whereas the WLP and CBB were acquired by horizontal gene transfer. Our results reveal that CSP1-3 is a widely distributed phylum with the potential to contribute to the cycling of carbon, sulfur and nitrogen. The name Sysuimicrobiota phy. nov. is proposed.

In modern optical detection, the vertical resolution of three-dimensional(3-D) topography obtained by white light interferometer (WLI) can reach sub-nanometer level. Under the same detection environment, optical system and scanning sampling system, the quality of coherent peak extraction algorithm directly determines the measurement accuracy. After decomposing and analyzing the representation form of WLI signal, this paper proposes a surface topography reconstruction method based on the modulation function curve of interference signal for gaussian center positioning. Under the influence of typical error sources, the measurement accuracy of this method is simulated and analyzed. Finally, based on the method proposed in this paper, a comparative measurement experiment of 1.8µm standard step is carried out with ZYGO commercial interferometer. The simulation and experimental results show that the algorithm has good robustness and effectiveness. © 2023 SPIE.

According to actual structure of High-speed Multi-stage cylinder linear launcher (HSMCLL), based on electromagnetic field theory, the mathematical model of the launcher is deduced, which considers inter-stage coupling effect. The discharge control strategy of the launcher is proposed. The dynamic performance of the launcher is simulated, and the current of drive coil and speed of armature are presented. Experiment results contrast with simulation results, they are coincidence well. It verifies the validity of the model and provides a new way for the study and implementation of control strategy of this kind of machine. © 2023 IEEE.

The second generation medium voltage integrated power system (IPS) has a broad application prospect in future vessels. With the increase in the diversification of power-using equipment, the traditional unidirectional two-port converter could no longer meet the application requirements of the new generation IPS. Therefore, this paper discusses the application of MMC-based multi-port converter in vessel IPS by combining modular multilevel converter (MMC), dual active bridge (DAB) technology, and the input-series output-parallel concept. The converter can connect medium voltage DC bus, medium-voltage AC bus, and low-voltage DC power bus, and the introduction of DAB power channels can effectively suppress the inherent voltage fluctuation of MMC. The fundamental principle of the converter are introduced. A simple and feasible decoupling control method is proposed for the power channels composed of DAB. Finally, the function of the module multi-port converter and the feasibility of the control strategy are verified by simulation. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Considering the fluid nonlinearity, a calculation model based on quasi-linear solution of Westervelt's equation is proposed in this paper. A more accurate approximation of Rayleigh integral is derived and velocity distribution in parametric loudspeaker surface is fitting by a set of Gaussian functions. Gaussian beam expansion is used to simply five-fold integral in calculation difference-frequency wavefield. Spatial sound pressure distribution of an annular array composed of serval rigid disks are presented. It can be found that uniform distribution of difference-frequency wave in xoy-plane is realized by annular array. © 2023 SPIE.

Segment-powered linear motors(SLM) have high reliability, unbalanced operating data samples and few abnormal samples, making it difficult to detect anomalies through supervised classification models. Therefore, we propose an anomaly detection method based on the reconstruction model, which uses the difference between small reconstruction error of normal samples and large reconstruction error of abnormal samples to detect anomalies. Meanwhile, in order to make the reconstruction model better reconstruct the input samples, this paper introduces adversarial regularization to improve the training effect. The proposed model uses normal samples for training, and unknown state samples for testing. The anomaly score is obtained through the reconstruction error between the input sample and the reconstructed sample, so as to judge whether the input sample is abnormal. Experiments are carried out on the actual operation data of the SLM, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method in the anomaly detection task of the SLM. © 2023 SPIE.
