The H10 subtype avian influenza virus(AIV)poses an ongoing threat to both birds and ***,fatal human cases of H10N3 and H10N8 infections have drawn public *** 2022,we isolated two H10N3 viruses(A/chicken/Shandong/0101/2022 and A/chicken/Shandong/0603/2022)from diseased chickens in *** analysis revealed that these viruses were genetically associated with human-origin H10N3 virus,with internal genes originating from local H9N2 *** to the H10N8 virus(A/chicken/Jiangxi/102/2013),the H10N3 viruses exhibited enhanced thermostability,increased viral release from erythrocytes,and accumulation of hemagglutinin(HA)***,we evaluated the pathogenicity of both H10N3 and H10N8 viruses in *** found that viral titers could be detected in the lungs and nasal turbinates of mice infected with the two H10N3 viruses,whereas H10N8 virus titers were detectable in the lungs and brains of ***,the proportion of double HA Q222R and G228S mutations in H10N3 viruses has increased since ***,the functional roles of the Q222R and G228S double mutations in the HA gene of H10N3 viruses remain unknown and warrant further *** study highlights the potential public health risk posed by the H10N3 virus.A spillover event of AIV to humans could be a foretaste of a looming ***,it is imperative to continuously monitor the evolution of the H10N3 influenza virus to ensure targeted prevention and control measures against influenza outbreaks.

Features extracted by the neural network do not have scale invariance, which makes multi-scale image recognition and classification a difficult problem. Recent studies have proposed many new ways to solve this problem, such as feature fusion, sensor field transformation, etc. However, none of them essentially solve the problem that the neural network does not have scale invariance. In this paper, we propose a network generating network (NGN) architecture and design the NGNResNet network, which is an improved version of the ResNet network. The network can identify images at three scales simultaneously and has scale invariance. The experimental results show that the NGN structure helps us to improve the classification accuracy of small-scale images by about 10 percentage points, and helps to improve the performance of the network in the face of small targets. © 2023 SPIE.

To explore the multicenter characteristics of endocrine-like phthalate esters(PAEs)in household dust and propose effective control strategies for global indoor public *** on-site observational investigation was conducted in nine Chinese cities from 2018 to 2019.A total of 246 household dust sampleswere collected and analyzed for ten PAE congeners using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry(GC-MS).Questionnaires were used to gather information on building conditions,indoor behaviors,and ventilation *** residential dust from the nine cities,the total concentrations of the ten PAE congeners(PAEs)ranged from 0.921 to 29097.297μg/*** phthalate(DCHP)and di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate(DEHP)were the dominant congeners in*** exposure to PAEs through dust ingestion was four orders of magnitude higher than through inhalation,with a carcinogenic risk of 5.47×10^(−6) for DEHP exposure in household ***PAEs concentrations were associated with higher temperature,double glazing,wall paint usage,television and computer use,and indoor plant *** multicenter on-site investigation confirmed PAE pollution characteristics and uncovered the inacceptable risk of daily DEHP exposure in household dust under real living *** mitigation measures based on household-related information,residential characteristics,decoration materials,and lifestyle should be taken to build a healthy household environment.

Almost blank subframe (ABS) is a classic and efficient technology to cancel interference in cellular networks and could be applied in future networks such as ultra-density network. However, the existence of ABS will result in the deterioration of the communication capacity of the macro base station (BS), particularly for applications with large number of edge users. To solve this problem, an improved ABS technology with an interference cancelation scheme is proposed. For the considered scenario, the macro BS and the micro BS work in a cooperative manner, where the signal transmitted by the macro BS interferes with the communication between the micro BS and its edge terminals. At the terminal side, both the nonlinearity of the macro BS transmitter and the propagation model between the edge user and the macro BS are estimated using neural networks (NNs), which are then sent to the micro BS for interference elimination through the ABS. At the micro BS side, firstly, the nonlinearity and channel parameters from the ABS frame are used to generate a cancelation signal. Secondly, the cancelation signal is sent from the micro BS to the edge user to eliminate the disturbance from the macro BS. This enhanced technology can alleviate the disturbance for the edge user. Meanwhile, since it massively decreases the occupancy of ABS in the macro BS, the capacity of the macro cell can be improved. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

The field of topological photonics was initiated with the realization of a Chern insulator phase in a gyromagnetic photonic crystal(Ph C) with broken time-reversal symmetry(T), hosting chiral edge states that are topologically protected propagating modes. Along a separate line of research, a quadrupole topological insulator was the first higher-order topological phase supporting localized corner states, but has been so far limited to T-invariant systems, as T is a key ingredient in early models. Here we report the realization of a quadrupole topological insulator phase in a gyromagnetic Ph C, as a consequence of topological phase transition from the previously demonstrated Chern insulator phase. The phase transition has been demonstrated with microwave measurements, which characterize the evolution from propagating chiral edge states to localized corner states. We also demonstrate the migration of topological boundary states into the continuum, when the gyromagnetic Ph C is magnetically tuned. These results extend the quadrupole topological insulator phase into T-broken systems, and integrate topologically protected propagating and localized modes in a magnetically tunable photonic crystal platform.

X-ray mirrors are widely utilized in light source devices like synchrotron radiation (SR) and free electron laser (FEL) light source. The Root-Mean-Square (RMS) value of surface figure accuracy required for these mirrors is typically sub-micro radian or sub-nanometer, and their aperture can be hundreds of millimeters or even meters. To achieve this accuracy, deterministic figuring is required and surface figure error is the premise. Interferometric stitching test is commonly utilized. Interferometric test obtains the surface figure of the tested X-ray mirrors mounted on a mounting support. Due to the low stiffness of the X-ray caused by the large ratio of length/width and length/height. The mechanical stress induced by the mounting supports may have a non-negligible influence on the surface figure of the mirror surface. Moreover, this can result in the poor reproductivity when testing the mirror under different mounting situations and with different mounting craft. What kind of aberration will be introduced by the X-ray under different mounting supports and whether it can be neglected is still an issue. To this end, the reproductivity of a typical silicon X-ray mirror with size of 500 mm ×50 mm × 50 mm were tested on different typical supports with a 24" zygo interferometer. Comparison of the introduced aberration type and aberration amplitude were conducted to reveal the deformation of the X-ray mirror on different typical supports. The results of this paper may attract the community that fabricates, tests, or uses X-ray mirror to pay a special attention to the mounting supports when testing the surface figure the X-ray mirrors. © 2024 SPIE.

Solder fatigue is quite important for the reliability of IGBTs under thermal cycling. Exploring zinc-free anode materials is one of the effective strategies to get the zinc dendrites problem of flexible zinc ion battery(ZIB)*** this work,an analogous heterostructure(AHS)is constructed from the excellent MXene(Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x))and TiSe_(2) *** AHS not only possesses numerous diffu-sion paths and Zn^(2+)storage sites but also possesses a stable conductive network to accelerate charge transfer in the *** a collaborative advantage,electrochemical measurement results show that MXene/TiSe_(2) electrodes display an excellent specific capacity of 177.9 mAh g^(-1) at 0.10 A g^(-1) and a long-term cycling stability of 77.4%capacity retention after 400 *** computations further demon-strate the excellent performance of MXene/TiSe_(2) electrodes including desirable electronic conductivity and low Zn^(2+)migration *** assembled flexible ZIB not only delivers a good specific capacity of 42.2μAh cm^(-2) at 0.20 mA cm^(-2) and a competitive energy density of 37.4μWh cm^(-2) but also exhibits excellent flexibility and ***,after 400 cycles at 0.60 A g^(-1),flexible ZIB shows a capacity retention of 73.8%.This work gives a successful attempt to design 2D layered materials as Zn metal-free anode for flexible ZIB.
