Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding inhigh-frequency range, especially the rapidly growing terahertz(THz) frequency range, attracts increasing attention due tothe potential application of terahertz in 6G wirelesscommunication, and security inspection. However, traditionalconductive EMI films typically achieve high shieldingeffectiveness through strong reflection, which may causesecondary pollution to other devices. Here, a gradientstructure strategy was proposed to constructTi_(3)C_(2)Tx/hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) film, in whichthe content of Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx gradually increases along the thicknessdirection, resulting in different conductivity of the two surfaces(surface-M and surface-H) for the film. The obtained gradientfilmexhibits an EMI shielding efficiency of over 48.5 dB in theTHz range (0.2-1.6 THz) at a thickness of 40 μm. Especially,as the THz waves incident from the surface-H to the film, the absorption effectiveness reaches 48.2 dB (average absorbedpower loss up to 91.4%), and the reflection effectiveness is only 0.3 dB. In additions, the gradient-film also demonstrates ahigh absorption rate of 95.5% in the infrared band (2.5-16.7 μm). Moreover, the gradient-film exhibits an excellent tensilestress and Young’s modulus value of 173.1 MPa and 2.8 GPa, respectively. Therefore, the gradient-film proposed in thiswork, with excellent electromagnetic absorption in both THz and infrared band, provides a promising candidate for the nextgenerationEMI shielding applications.

Memory enhancement of the new tryptamine-like components in the walnut kernel

Walnut kernel has been applied in daily diets for thousands of years with its memory enhancement *** further observing the effect of memory enhancement,the walnut kernel was extracted and separated into active parts,with the evaluation in mice.30%ethanol elution from AB-8 macroporous resin showed a decreased escape latency time and increased cumulative time and crossing frequency through the Morris *** also increased the latency time and decreased jumps in the step-down *** results indicated the memory enhancement effect of the *** further separation and purification,four compounds were acquired with tryptamine-like structures first found in the walnut kernel,and compounds III and IV were new *** III showed decreased escape latency time,increased cumulative time,increased crossing frequency through the Morris test,and increased latency time,decreased jumps in the step-down *** III also alleviated acetylcholinesterase activity and promoted acetylcholine transferase *** silico docking and molecular dynamic studies displayed the most polar interactions of compound III on 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 4(5-HTR4)with the most polar interactions and the lowest binding energies,and anti-degeneration effect to monoamine oxidase A(MAO-A)with the high binding energy and sizeable steric *** results illustrated the memory enhancement of compound III in the walnut kernel,indicating more potential activities of tryptamine-like components and more applications for walnut kernel in clinical use or daily diets.

In order to obtain the velocity of the fragment group of gradient scattering preformed fragment warhead, the radial scattering field of the fragments was photographed by the laser high-speed CCD camera system, and the velocities of all the fragments in the image after filtering the explosion firelight were obtained. The velocity of the preformed fragments shows a continuous gradient distribution from 77.9 m/s to 424.2 m/s, which was consistent with the theoretical calculation results. This indicates that the test technology is feasible and provides a new method for the velocity test of the fragment group. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The fabrication of graphene-based microwave absorbing materials with low density,small filling ratio,broad bandwidth and strong absorption remains a huge *** this work,nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide/magnesium ferrite/polyaniline(NRGO/MgFe_(2)O_(4)/PANI)composite aerogel was synthesized by a three-step method of solvothermal reaction,in situ chemical oxidation polymerization and hydrothermal *** results showed that the obtained aerogels had a unique three-dimensional(3D)porous network structure and low bulk density(11.1-13.0 mg cm^(−3)).It was worth noting that in the NRGO/MgFe_(2)O_(4)/PANI ternary composite aerogel,MgFe_(2)O_(4)coated with a thin PANI layer was anchored on the surface of NRGO ***,the NRGO/MgFe_(2)O_(4)/PANI ternary composite aerogel showed much better microwave absorbing capacity compared with pure NRGO aerogel and NRGO/MgFe_(2)O_(4)binary composite *** the filling ratio was as low as 11.5 wt.%,the obtained ternary composite aerogel exhibited the maximum effective absorption bandwidth of 7.0 GHz at a matching thickness of 2.1 mm,and the minimum reflection loss of-42.9 dB at a thickness of 3.57 ***,the prob-able microwave dissipation mechanism was also *** was believed that this study would pave the way for the construction of 3D graphene-based composites as lightweight,broadband and efficient microwave absorbents.

Magnesium alloys with excellent degradability and biocompatibility are promising materials for biomedical implants,saving patients the burden of second ***,their mechanical properties and corrosion resistance are significantly below the requirements for implant *** study aims to improve the mechanical and corrosion resistance properties of Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy by pre-torsion treatment,and find out the optimal shear *** rod-shaped Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy specimens were pre-torsion treated at different torsion *** effect of free-end torsion on Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy was characterized through microstructure analysis,mechanical testing,and corrosion ***-torsion treatment can refine grain and induce twins and dislocations in Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca *** surface hardness increases with the increase in torsion *** yield strength and ultimate strength initially increase and then decrease with increasing torsion angle,while ductility decreases with increasing torsion *** with a shear strain of 30%exhibit the highest tensile strength,reaching 284.78±10.62 MPa,with an elongation of 19.37±1.66%.Furthermore,they show a significant improvement in fatigue lives both before and after *** the stress amplitude is 120 MPa,the fatigue lives for specimens without pre-torsion treatment are 54,275 cycles and 4324 cycles before and after pre-corrosion,while they increased significantly to 92,015 cycles and 5050 cycles with the 30%shear strain,***,the 30%shear strain specimens show a significant reduction in corrosion *** conclusion,pre-torsion treatment can effectively modify the microstructure of Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy,enhancing both mechanical properties and corrosion *** optimal shear strain for this improvement is 30%.This study provides a practical method to enhance the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of Mg-3Zn-0.2Ca alloy,making it more suitable for biomedical implan

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is widely used in the fields of strategic exploration and ocean surveillance due to its all-day, all-weather wide-area search and detection *** images are sensitive to the imaging azimuth, and the SAR images of the same ship target in different azimuths have certain differences, and the multi-azimuth SAR image sequence contains rich classification and identification information. Aiming at the problem that environmental interference and data corruption affect the reliability of multi-view integration and final decision, this paper proposes a credible multi-view ship target recognition algorithm based on pseudo-view enhancement, which achieves high recognition accuracy under interference conditions, small datasets, and variations in the number of input images, respectively. The experimental results show that the recognition accuracy of this method is better than other target recognition on most of the datasets and has a certain degree of robustness. © 2024 IEEE.

Coal power plants annually generate quantities of byproducts that release environmentally hazardous heavy metals like Cd and *** the behavior and spatiotemporal impacts on soils of these releases is crucial for pollution *** study investigated the concentrations and isotope ratios of Cd/Pb in combustion byproducts,depositions and soils collected froma coal-fired power plant or its surrounding *** pulverized fuel ash(PFA)and desulfurized gypsum(DG)exhibited heavier Cd isotopes withΔ^(114)Cd values of 0.304‰and 0.269‰,respectively,while bottom ash(BA)showed lighter Cd isotopes(Δ^(114)CdBA-coal=–0.078‰),compared to feed *** proposed a two-stage condensation process that governs the distribution of Cd/Pb,including accumulation on PFA and DG within electrostatic precipitators and desulfurization unit,as well as condensation onto fine particles upon release from the *** from combustion and large-scale transport make a significant contribution to deposition,while the dispersion of Cd/Pb in deposition is primarily influenced by the prevailing wind ***,the distribution of Cd/Pb in soils not only exhibit predominant wind control but is also potentially influenced by the resuspension of long-term storage *** power plant significantly contributes to soil in the NW–N–NE directions,even at a considerable distance(66%–79%),demonstrating its pervasive impact on remote regions along these ***,based on the vertical behavior in the profile,we have identified that Cd tends to migrate downward through leaching,while variations in Pb respond to the historical progression of dust removal.

In the context of complex environment, the intelligent target recognition method for infrared/laser composite imaging fuze encounters the following challenges: 1) The dearth of infrared/laser composite imaging fuze data hampers the advancement and implementation of deep learning technology in fuze target recognition;2) The extant infrared/laser composite imaging fuze target recognition methods exhibit suboptimal recognition accuracy in complex terrain and ground conditions, which predisposes them to early or false explotions. To address the aforementioned issues, we have constructed infrared/laser composite imaging target and background dataset in diverse scenes, terrains and features, which provides effective data support for the intelligent recognition of composite imaging fuze. Additionally, we have designed a cross-modal fusion attention mechanism and an invariant feature learning method. The method facilitates the fusion of multimodal complementary information and the intelligent recognition of multi-scale and multi-morphology targets in complex scenes. Furthermore, they enhance the accuracy of the composite imaging fuze, enabling it to adapt to complex terrains. This enhances the combat effectiveness of composite imaging fuze in complex environments, while also offering technical support for the intelligentization of target recognition systems in future ballistic fuze. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. Infrared Dim Small Target Detection Algorithm Based on Adaptive Attention Transformer Network

This paper presents a novel algorithm for detecting infrared dim small targets in complex backgrounds by integrating both global and local feature information. The proposed method employs an adaptive attention transformer network which addresses challenges associated with computational complexity and information redundancy in traditional self-attention mechanisms. A global context aggregation module is designed to address the loss of small target features in high-level feature maps. This module compensates for spatial distribution information during the multi-scale feature fusion process, ensuring the preservation of target features. Comparison experiments were conducted on two datasets, NUAA-SIRST and IRSTD-1k. The proposed algorithm achieved 0.784 for mIoU and 0.878 for F-measure on NUAA-SIRST, 0.632 for mIoU and 0.807 for F-measure on IRST-1k, all of which are the highest values. The proposed algorithm shows a significant improvement over other existing detection algorithms, demonstrating its capability to accurately extract both local and global features of targets with high recall rates and low false alarm rates across various scenarios.
