The effectiveness of inspection tasks performed by unmanned helicopters during underground inspections is directly influenced by the performance of attitude control. Therefore, it is crucial to optimize the attitude control of unmanned helicopters. Spike neural membrane computing offers Turing computing versatility and high efficiency in various time collaborations. This paper presents a study on attitude optimization control of unmanned helicopters in underground coal mines using spike neural network computing. The approach involves constructing an extended spike neural membrane system based on the attitude dynamics model of an unmanned helicopter, with the aim of further optimizing the system and algorithm. The experimental results demonstrate that the optimized spike neural membrane system is capable of effectively achieving attitude control of the unmanned helicopter under normal conditions. Furthermore, it can successfully maintain the attitude angle within the desired range, even in the presence of wind interference. Additionally, a comparison with traditional sliding mode control and the Designed Optimization Model (OSNMS) reveals that the OSNMS proposed in this paper significantly enhances the attitude control performance of unmanned helicopters. © 2023 SPIE.

Effects of radome refraction error slope of radar seeker on the stability of extended trajectory shaping guidance (ETSG) are discussed in this paper. The formation mechanism of radome error was analyzed. The radome error parasitic loop was established. The guidance system model with radome error parasitic loop was constructed based on ETSG to analyze impacts of radome error parasitic loop on stability of the guidance system. The variation laws of stable region of ETSG with radome slope and guidance parameters under different system order and time-to-go are investigated. Research results demonstrate that the stable region in negative feedback of radome error parasitic loop is easy to be unstable under higher system order, and the maximum tolerance of ETSG to radome slope under positive feedback of parasitic loop decreases continuously as the missile approaches to the target. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

To improve the efficiency of the discrete unified gas kinetic scheme(DUGKS)in capturing cross-scale flow physics,an adaptive partitioning-based discrete unified gas kinetic scheme(ADUGKS)is developed in this *** ADUGKS is designed from the discrete characteristic solution to the Boltzmann-BGK equation,which contains the initial distribution function and the local equilibrium *** initial distribution function contributes to the calculation of free streaming fluxes and the local equilibrium state contributes to the calculation of equilibrium *** the contribution of the initial distribution function is negative,the local flow field can be regarded as the continuous flow and the Navier-Stokes(N-S)equations can be used to obtain the solution ***,the discrete distribution functions should be updated by the Boltzmann equation to capture the rarefaction *** this,in the ADUGKS,the computational domain is divided into the DUGKS cell and the N-S cell based on the contribu-tion of the initial distribution function to the calculation of free streaming *** the N-S cell,the local flow field is evolved by solving the N-S equations,while in the DUGKS cell,both the discrete velocity Boltzmann equation and the correspond-ing macroscopic governing equations are solved by a modified *** more and more cells turn into the N-S cell with the decrease of the Knudsen number,a significant acceleration can be achieved for the ADUGKS in the continuum flow regime as compared with the DUGKS.

For small-aperture aspheric mirror surface measurement, the traditional measurement method phase measuring deflectometry (PMD) requires multi-step phase shifting, and the result is not high in accuracy and complicated in operation. The digital image correlation (DIC) that can be used for transient measurement is mostly used for diffuse reflection. surface. At present, a speckle deflection technique combining the former two methods has appeared, but its optical system is based on the traditional triangulation method, which has problems of angle occlusion and defects. This paper improves the speckle deflection algorithm and optical path system, replacing the traditional triangulation optical path system with Coaxial normal incidence speckle deflectometry system (CNISDS), adding a plate beam-splitter and a telecentric *** the one hand, it can avoid the changes in the shape of the captured image caused by perspective, and on the other hand, it can effectively avoid angle occlusion and missing information. Among them, the DIC method is used for image matching, the PMD method is used to calculate the displacement distribution. Then use the slope data to calculate to reconstruct the surface shape. The improved method can measure absolute surface shape and deformation at the same time, and has the advantages of simple measurement steps, fast response speed, and low cost. Finally, the correctness and feasibility are verified by simulation and actual measurement with deformable mirror. Compared with the phase-shifting operation which has complex steps or the low-precision mirror profile measurement results, the improved method is effective and superior, and provides a new idea for measuring small-aperture aspheric mirrors. © 2022 SPIE.

Restricted by the physical properties of materials, most traditional electromagnetic (EM) metasurfaces cannot achieve transparent stealth in visible spectrum. Although some metasurfaces for holography have been designed, there is no standard method for evaluating the advancement of wavefront manipulation, metasurface design, and algorithms. Here, a novel full space control the complex amplitude of a metasurface with optical transparency (OT) is presented in the millimeter-wave (mmWave) band. Through frequency-multiplexing, two distinct holographic images 'HOLO' and 'GRAM' with high quality are designed, achieving signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) of 14.6 dB and 14.4 dB, respectively. The 64 × 64 bi-layered metasurface is composed of glass and PET substrates and three silver mesh layers. By changing the opening size and rotating angle of split rings, phase and amplitude modulations are simultaneously and independently realized at 26.6 GHz and 44.0 GHz. © 2024 IEEE.

Dynamic State Estimation for Power System with Communication Constraint Using Event-Triggered Cubature Kalman Filter

Accurate dynamic state estimation plays an important role in power systems. Although various filtering algorithms, such as unscented Kalman filter (UKF) and particle filter (PF), have been proposed based on phasor measurement units (PMUs), they occupy a huge communication bandwidth without specific concern, which puts heavy burden on the communication network especially when wireless communications are widely applied in smart grids. In order to relieve this communication burden, the event-triggered cubature Kalman filter (ETCKF) is proposed based on the stochastic event-triggered schedule in this paper, which guarantees that only the measurements containing innovational information are transmitted and has advantages over other event-triggered schedules, such as the deterministic event-triggered schedule, since it can maintain the Gaussian property of the conditional distribution of the system state. Based on the developed nonlinear event-triggered schedule, the cubature Kalman filter (CKF), using the third-degree spherical-radial cubature rule, further provides more accurate estimation than UKF and has lower computational complexity than PF. The proposed filter can effectively reduce the communication rate while ensuring the accuracy of filtering. Finally, the standard IEEE 39-bus system is utilized to verify the feasibility and performance of the proposed method. © 2020 Journal of Beijing Institute of technology

Morphing aircraft exhibit agile maneuverability within an extensive flight envelope, which imposes heightened requirements on the online adaptation capabilities of control laws and necessitates enhanced dynamic flight control performance. The coefficient freezing method frequently used in engineering applications entails individualized design procedures for each distinct operating point, a process that is both intricate and heavily reliant on human expertise. Moreover, once deployed, conventional flight control laws generally exhibit static performance with limited potential for online optimization and adjustment. This work presents an offline strategy gradient deep reinforcement learning approach to devise a self-learning architecture for the parameters of PI state feedback control laws. This architecture is trained automatically by traversing across multiple operational points of the morphing aircraft under control, thereby yielding a set of control laws adaptable to various operational conditions. Concurrently, the action network from this framework is extracted and implemented as an online learning module, enabling real-time adjustments to control law parameters during flight based on the observed control performance, thus augmenting the aircraft’s inherent online adaptive capabilities. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed methodology are substantiated through a case study focusing on tracking control in the pitch channel of a representative morphing aircraft.

The high speed motor will produce a large centrifugal force when rotating, so it is necessary to use special carbon fiber composite material or structure to ensure the strength of the rotor. Taking carbon fiber composite material as the research object, Johnson-Cook model was used to describe the mechanical behavior of PEEK material under the condition of hot forming. ABAQUS finite element software was used to establish the calculation model, and relevant experiments and research were carried out accordingly, which provided a new idea for the study of PEEK hot forming performance. © 2023 IEEE.
