Low PAPR FBMC-OQAM system Based on Data Mapping and DFT Spreading

Filter bank multicarrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC-OQAM) is considered as a promising waveform for Internet of Things (IoT) due to its capability to mitigate interference among asynchronous users. However, as a multicarrier technique, the FBMC-OQAM signal also has a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), which is detrimental to low-power transmission. To address this issue, this article proposes a novel discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-spread scheme to exhaustively reduce the PAPR of the FBMC-OQAM signal. In this scheme, the transmitting data symbols are first mapped with a conjugate symmetry rule and then coded by the DFT. Using this method, the preprocessing step in FBMC-OQAM that involves separating the real and imaginary parts of the quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) symbols can be avoided. Compared with existing DFT-spread FBMC-OQAM schemes, the proposed scheme demonstrates better PAPR performance while maintaining equivalent spectral efficiency. Additionally, the computational complexity of the proposed scheme experiences only a slight increase, thereby preserving a relatively low computational burden. Numerical simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Furthermore, the effect of the prototype filter on the PAPR is investigated, and a tradeoff exists between the PAPR and out-of-band performance. © 2025 IEEE.

To enhance the privacy of messages in Internet of Vehicles (IoVs), it is critical to preserve the communication security between Road Side Unit (RSU) and numerous vehicles. The primitive of signcryption is introduced to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and unforgeability of transmitted messages. Nevertheless, the existing signcryption schemes fail to achieve a balance between security and efficiency. In this paper, we construct a Chinese remainder theorem (CRT) empowered certificateless aggregate signcryption scheme with key agreement (CASKA-CRT). As the vehicle joins and leaves dynamically, the proposed scheme can ensure the dynamic security via one modulo division operation. Besides, the certificateless aggregate signcryption and key agreement mechanisms are embedded. The former idea can both address the certificate management and key escrow problems, while the latter technology can create authentication as a premise of secure communication. Based on this construction, the hash-to-group operation and bilinear pairing are avoided, to realize a faster verification with the increased number of messages. Moreover, the security of proposed scheme is proved under the random oracle model. Finally, the performance analysis demonstrates the advantage of CASKA-CRT in terms of security and reliability over related works. IEEE

Soil organic matter(SOM)is a key metric for assessing soil quality and crop yield *** plays a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance environment and promoting sustainable farming *** review examines the evolving trends in remote sensing(RS)-based SOM monitoring by analyzing 739 scholarly publications from the Web of science database from 2003 to 2023 using a bibliometric *** study reveals that research on RS-based SOM monitoring has entered a rapid growth phase since 2018,with China and the United States as the main contributors and an extensive international cooperation *** model construction,high frequency covariates such as soil pH,precipitation,temperature,and topography significantly improved the prediction *** preprocessing methods such as Standard Normal Variables(SNV),Principal Component Analysis(PCA),and Multiple Scattering Correction(MSC)enhanced data *** statistical models are gradually being replaced by nonlinear machine learning and deep learning methods(CNN,XGBoost,andStacking),which are particularly good at handling complex high-dimensional *** spectral libraries(OzSoil and AfSIS)excel in local accuracy,while global spectral libraries(ISRIC and LUCAS)are more suitable for cross-region modeling,and the migration learning technique effectively improves the model generalization ability in low data *** models(CNN-LSTM and GAN)have significant advantages in capturing the spatial and temporal dynamics of SOMs,and uncertainty quantification methods(Bayesian inference,Monte Carlo simulation)enhance the reliability of the models in multi-source data and data-scarce *** research should focus on further optimization of multi-source data fusion and uncertainty quantification to promote the development and applicability of RS-based SOM monitoring techniques for precision soil management and sustainable agriculture.

Taking the IGBT power module of the inverter device as the research object, finite element analysis technology was used to explore the influence of long-term service on the thermal characteristics and stress-strain of the IGBT module. At the same time, the influence of service aging on the electromagnetic compatibility performance of the device was studied, and the finite element simulation results were verified through accelerated aging experiments. The results showed that during the long-term operation of the IGBT module, due to the different thermal expansion coefficients of its materials, strain differences were found, ultimately leading to an increase in its ground capacitance, resulting in an increase in the amplitude of the common mode conducted noise of the device by 3dBμA in the frequency band after 20MHz. This study will provide theoretical guidance for the electromagnetic compatibility design of inverter devices for long-term service. ©2024 IEEE.

Recently, many compression algorithms are applied to decrease the cost of video storage and transmission. This will introduce undesirable artifacts, which severely degrade visual quality. Therefore, Video Compression Artifacts Removal (VCAR) aims at reconstructing a high-quality video from its corrupted version of compression. Generally, this task is considered as a vision-related instead of media-related problem. In vision-related research, the visual quality has been significantly improved while the computational complexity and bitrate issues are less considered. In this work, we review the performance constraints of video coding and transfer to evaluate the VCAR outputs. Based on the analyses, we propose a Spatial-Temporal Attention-Guided Enhancement Network (STAGE-Net). First, we employ dynamic filter processing, instead of conventional optical flow method, to reduce the computational cost of VCAR. Second, we introduce self-attention mechanism to design Sequential Residual Attention Blocks (SRABs) to improve visual quality of enhanced video frames with bitrate constraints. Both quantitative and qualitative experimental results have demonstrated the superiority of our proposed method, which achieves high visual qualities and low computational costs. © 2023 IEEE.

A key feature of extended target (ET) is that it can produce multiple measurements, thus providing detailed information such as size, orientation. However, due to the measurement number decrease, the ET tends to be a point target (PT) when it becomes far from the sensor, leading to disability of estimating the extensions. In this paper we consider the problem of distributed ETs tracking based on multiple sensors. In such a case the measurements decrease of an ET can be compensated by other sensors, so that the tracking performance can be maintained. In the proposed algorithm the targets are modeled by Poisson multi-Bernoulli (PMB) random finite set (RFS) and the state of each target consists of two parts representing the possibility of being ET and PT, respectively. In the local filtering state, interaction between ET and PT states is considered in the prediction step for target identity change between ET and PT, based on which the local PMB filter is achieved for seamlessly tracking ETs and PTs. In the fusion part a generalized covariance intersection (GCI) based criterion is proposed to fuse the posteriors of each sensor. The performance of proposed algorithm is verified via simulations. © 2024 IEEE.

Vulnerability detection methods based on the deep learning have achieved remarkable performance improvements compared to traditional methods. Current deep learning-based detectors mostly use a single RNN or its variants (i.e., LSTM or GRU) to detect vulnerabilities. However, vulnerability detection is a multi-domain problem. Different types of vulnerabilities have different characteristics. Using a single neural network cannot perform well in all types of vulnerability detection tasks. Manually designing a matching neural network for each type of vulnerability detection task not only requires a lot of trials and computational resources but also highly relies on the knowledge and design experience of experts. To address this issue, in this paper, we propose a novel fine-grained vulnerability detection framework named A-DARTS, which is capable of searching for well-performed neural network architectures for different vulnerability detection tasks by introducing neural network architecture search (NAS) techniques. Specifically, we design a more efficient search space to ensure superior neural network architectures can be found by the search algorithm. Besides, we propose an adaptive differentiable search algorithm to search for superior neural network architectures. Experimental results show that searched models consistently outperform all baseline models and achieve significant performance improvements. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Improving ECAPA-TDNN Performance with Coordinate Attention

The current mainstream networks, such as squeeze and excitation residual neural network (SE-ResNet) and emphasized channel attention, propagation and aggregation based time delay neural network (ECAPA-TDNN), enhance the capability of speaker embedding extractors to extract more discriminative speaker embeddings by incorporating squeeze and excitation (SE) attention within the convolutional blocks. However, the SE attention focuses solely on encoding inter-channel information, overlooking the importance of spatial positional information and time-frequency information, which are crucial for the model’s performance. In this paper, we first experimentally compare the effectiveness of several mainstream attention mechanisms in the computer vision domain for the ECAPA-TDNN model. Next, we focus on the substantial improvements that coordinate attention (CA) brings to the ECAPA-TDNN model. The introduction of CA can help the model embed time-frequency information into the channel representation. Even without using AS-Norm, our proposed model achieves relative reductions of about 5.3% equal error rate (EER) and 5.5% minimum detection cost function (minDCF) on both the Voxceleb-O and Voxceleb-H test sets compared to the ECAPA-TDNN baseline model. In addition, the EER is relatively reduced by 9.46% on the CN-Celeb1 test set. This result strongly demonstrates that the CA module can effectively improve the generalization ability of the ECAPA-TDNN model. © Shanghai Jiao Tong University 2024.
