At present, Feature Selective Validation (FSV) is the most common data verification method of computational electromagnetics, and its effectiveness has been verified since its release in 2006, but since the main research object of this method is electromagnetic compatibility data, the 8 sets of data used for algorithm training also come from the field of electromagnetic compatibility, and its data curve has the characteristics of gentle waveform and small fluctuations. However, Radar Cross Section (RCS) data, especially high-frequency RCS data, usually have complex waveforms and drastic fluctuations, and the results obtained by the FSV method are often quite different from those obtained by experts. This paper proposes a new data verification method based on Smoothed Pseudo Wigner-Ville Distribution (SPWVD) algorithm for RCS data, which integrates the characteristics of RCS data and expert evaluation experience, and verifies its effectiveness in RCS data verification. © 2024, Electromagnetics Academy. Near-infrared responsive polycaprolactone coatings for magnesium implants:Photodynamic antibacterial and controllable dissolution

Magnesium implants have received widespread attention in orthopaedic ***,the mechanical degradation and concurrent inflammation caused by the rapid corrosion of Mg limits their *** this study,a kind of unique core-shell heterojunction CuS@PPy nanostructures was synthesized and then incorporated in polycaprolactone(PCL)to construct an intelligent coating(CuS@PPy/PCL)on micro-arc-oxidized Mg *** PCL-based coating can realize near-infrared(NIR)-driven antibacterial and controllable Mg dissolution according to different bone healing *** the beginning of bone remodelling,the coating exhibits promising antibacterial properties with 99.67%and 99.17%efficacy against *** and ***,respectively,thanks to the singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2))and alkoxyl radicals(RO·)generated by the photodynamic effect of CuS@PPy heterojunction under low-power NIR light(1.5 W/cm^(2)).In the bone reparative stage,the PCL-based coating can maintain high corrosion resistance to meet the mechanical requirements of Mg implants in human body ***,after the complete rehabilitation of bones,through a high-power(2 W/cm^(2))NIR light,the PCL-based coating changed from an elastic to a viscous flow state(44.7℃)under the photothermal effects of CuS@PPy,leading to quick degradation of the PCL-based coating and following accelerating dissolution of the Mg implant(avoiding secondary surgery).Hopefully,this NIR-responsive coating may provide an innovative method for the antibacterial and controllable dissolution of Mg implants.

Multi-agent policy transfer via task relationship modeling

Team adaptation to new cooperative tasks is a hallmark of human intelligence, which has yet to be fully realized in learning agents. Previous studies on multi-agent transfer learning have accommodated teams of different sizes but heavily relied on the generalization ability of neural networks for adapting to unseen tasks. We posit that the relationship among tasks provides key information for policy *** utilize this relationship for efficient transfer by attempting to discover and exploit the knowledge among tasks from different teams, proposing to learn an effect-based task representation as a common latent space among tasks, and using it to build an alternatively fixed training scheme. Herein, we demonstrate that task representation can capture the relationship among teams and generalize to unseen tasks. Thus, the proposed method helps transfer the learned cooperation knowledge to new tasks after training on a few source ***, the learned transferred policies help solve tasks that are difficult to learn from scratch.

A spawning particle filter for defocused moving target detection in GNSS-based passive radar

Global Navigation Satellite system(GNSS)-based passive radar(GBPR)has been widely used in remote sensing ***,for moving target detection(MTD),the quadratic phase error(QPE)introduced by the non-cooperative target motion is usually difficult to be compensated,as the low power level of the GBPR echo signal renders the estimation of the Doppler rate less ***,the moving target in GBPR image is usually defocused,which aggravates the difficulty of target detection even *** this paper,a spawning particle filter(SPF)is proposed for defocused ***,the measurement model and the likelihood ratio function(LRF)of the defocused point-like target image are ***,a spawning particle set is generated for subsequent target detection,with reference to traditional particles in particle filter(PF)as their *** that,based on the PF estimator,the SPF algorithm and its sequential Monte Carlo(SMC)implementation are proposed with a novel amplitude estimation method to decrease the target state ***,the effectiveness of the proposed SPF is demonstrated by numerical simulations and pre-liminary experimental results,showing that the target range and Doppler can be estimated accurately.

Wireless Interference Classification with Low Complexity Multi-Branch Networks

In non-cooperative communication systems,wireless interference classification(WIC)is one of the most essential ***,deep learning(DL)based WIC methods have been ***,conventional DL-based WIC methods have high computational complexity and unsatisfactory accuracy,especially when the interference-tonoise ratio(INR)is *** this end,we propose three effective ***,we introduce multibranch convolutional neural networks(CNNs)for interference *** multi-branch CNN is constructed by repeating a layer that aggregates several transformations with the same topology,and it notably improves the recognition ability for *** design avoids the carefully crafted selection of each ***,multi-branch CNNs are computationally expensive and *** this end,we further propose Low complexity multibranch networks(LCMN),which are mathematically equivalent to multi-branch CNNs but maintain low computing costs and efficient ***,we present novel loss function,which encourages networks to have consistent prediction probabilities for samples with high visual similarities,resulting in increasing recognition accuracy of *** results demonstrate the proposed methods consistently boost the classification performance of WIC without substantially increasing computational overhead compared to traditional DL-based methods.

Avatars, as promising digital representations and service assistants of users in Metaverses, can enable drivers and passengers to immerse themselves in 3D virtual services and spaces of UAV-assisted vehicular Metaverses. However, avatar tasks include a multitude of human-to-avatar and avatar-to-avatar interactive applications, e.g., augmented reality navigation,which consumes intensive computing resources. It is inefficient and impractical for vehicles to process avatar tasks locally. Fortunately, migrating avatar tasks to the nearest roadside units(RSU)or unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) for execution is a promising solution to decrease computation overhead and reduce task processing latency, while the high mobility of vehicles brings challenges for vehicles to independently perform avatar migration decisions depending on current and future vehicle status. To address these challenges, in this paper, we propose a novel avatar task migration system based on multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MADRL) to execute immersive vehicular avatar tasks dynamically. Specifically, we first formulate the problem of avatar task migration from vehicles to RSUs/UAVs as a partially observable Markov decision process that can be solved by MADRL algorithms. We then design the multi-agent proximal policy optimization(MAPPO) approach as the MADRL algorithm for the avatar task migration problem. To overcome slow convergence resulting from the curse of dimensionality and non-stationary issues caused by shared parameters in MAPPO, we further propose a transformer-based MAPPO approach via sequential decision-making models for the efficient representation of relationships among agents. Finally, to motivate terrestrial or non-terrestrial edge servers(e.g., RSUs or UAVs) to share computation resources and ensure traceability of the sharing records, we apply smart contracts and blockchain technologies to achieve secure sharing management. Emerging two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors are among the most promising materials for ultra-scaled transistors due to their intrinsic atomic-level *** the stacking process advances,the complexity and cost of nanosheet field-effect transistors(NSFETs)and complementary FET(CFET)continue to *** 1 nm technology node is going to be based on Si-CFET process according to international roadmap for devices and systems(IRDS)(2022,https://***/),but not publicly confirmed,indicating that more possibilities still *** miniaturization advantage of 2D semiconductors motivates us to explore their potential for reducing process costs while matching the performance of next-generation nodes in terms of area,power consumption and *** this study,a comprehensive framework is built.A set of MoS2 NSFETs were designed and fabricated to extract the key parameters and *** then for benchmarking,the sizes of 2D-NSFET are scaled to a extent that both of the Si-CFET and 2D-NSFET have the same average device *** these conditions,the frequency of ultra-scaled 2D-NSFET is found to improve by 36%at a fixed power *** work verifies the feasibility of replacing silicon-based CFETs of 1 nm node with 2D-NSFETs and proposes a 2D technology solution for 1 nm nodes,i.e.,“2D eq 1 nm”*** the same time,thanks to the lower characteristic length of 2D semiconductors,the miniaturized 2D-NSFET achieves a 28%frequency increase at a fixed power ***,developing a standard cell library,these devices obtain a similar trend in 16-bit RISC-V *** work quantifies and highlights the advantages of 2D semiconductors in advanced nodes,offering new possibilities for the application of 2D semiconductors in high-speed and low-power integrated circuits.

Binary code analysis serves as the foundation for research in vulnerability discovery, software protection, and malicious code analysis. However, analyzing binary files is challenging due to the lack of high-level semantic information, leading to heavy dependence on analysts’ expertise and significantly impacting the efficiency of binary code analysis. Recent years has witnessed the blossom of machine learning models for binary analysis, but few researches address the problem of binary code datasets. In this paper, we review all the existing and available datasets, and make classification according to their application. We set up experiments to illustrate how dataset quality could affect the performance of machine learning models in binary function recognition. Based on the experimental evaluation, we present a discussion on the ground truth as well as quality evaluation problems for binary code datasets. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
