Emerging two-dimensional(2D)semiconductors are among the most promising materials for ultra-scaled transistors due to their intrinsic atomic-level *** the stacking process advances,the complexity and cost of nanosheet field-effect transistors(NSFETs)and complementary FET(CFET)continue to *** 1 nm technology node is going to be based on Si-CFET process according to international roadmap for devices and systems(IRDS)(2022,https://***/),but not publicly confirmed,indicating that more possibilities still *** miniaturization advantage of 2D semiconductors motivates us to explore their potential for reducing process costs while matching the performance of next-generation nodes in terms of area,power consumption and *** this study,a comprehensive framework is built.A set of MoS2 NSFETs were designed and fabricated to extract the key parameters and *** then for benchmarking,the sizes of 2D-NSFET are scaled to a extent that both of the Si-CFET and 2D-NSFET have the same average device *** these conditions,the frequency of ultra-scaled 2D-NSFET is found to improve by 36%at a fixed power *** work verifies the feasibility of replacing silicon-based CFETs of 1 nm node with 2D-NSFETs and proposes a 2D technology solution for 1 nm nodes,i.e.,“2D eq 1 nm”*** the same time,thanks to the lower characteristic length of 2D semiconductors,the miniaturized 2D-NSFET achieves a 28%frequency increase at a fixed power ***,developing a standard cell library,these devices obtain a similar trend in 16-bit RISC-V *** work quantifies and highlights the advantages of 2D semiconductors in advanced nodes,offering new possibilities for the application of 2D semiconductors in high-speed and low-power integrated circuits.

Infrared Dim Small Target Detection Algorithm Based on Adaptive Attention Transformer Network

This paper presents a novel algorithm for detecting infrared dim small targets in complex backgrounds by integrating both global and local feature information. The proposed method employs an adaptive attention transformer network which addresses challenges associated with computational complexity and information redundancy in traditional self-attention mechanisms. A global context aggregation module is designed to address the loss of small target features in high-level feature maps. This module compensates for spatial distribution information during the multi-scale feature fusion process, ensuring the preservation of target features. Comparison experiments were conducted on two datasets, NUAA-SIRST and IRSTD-1k. The proposed algorithm achieved 0.784 for mIoU and 0.878 for F-measure on NUAA-SIRST, 0.632 for mIoU and 0.807 for F-measure on IRST-1k, all of which are the highest values. The proposed algorithm shows a significant improvement over other existing detection algorithms, demonstrating its capability to accurately extract both local and global features of targets with high recall rates and low false alarm rates across various scenarios. Improving Speaker Verification Back-End with Graph Neural Networks

Currently, research on speaker verification tasks is primarily concentrated on enhancing deep speaker models to extract high-quality speaker embeddings. Nevertheless, this speaker embeddings can be regarded as potential graph structures. Therefore, this paper introduces a graph neural network-based speaker verification back-end approach, treating the speaker embeddings derived from the front-end as graph structures and leveraging graph neural networks to uncover the relationships among embeddings, thereby achieving superior-quality speaker embeddings. In addition, we propose a group updating method to solve the problem of memory overflow when the number of nodes is excessive. Extensive experiments and ablation studies were carried out on the VoxCeleb dataset, and the experimental outcomes validate the effectiveness of our proposed graph neural network speaker back-end in significantly boosting the performance of speaker verification systems. Anomalous Sound Detection Using Time-Frequency Feature and Mixbatch

The sound emitted by machines under abnormal working conditions exhibits various frequency patterns. Currently, the most advanced anomalous sound detection (ASD) approach is to apply a multi-head self-attention mechanism to the Log-Mel spectrogram for automatic frequency pattern analysis. However, the Log-Mel spectrogram may filter out high-frequency components of abnormal sounds;thus the use of self-attention mechanisms on Log-Mel spectrogram seems to have certain limitations. In this paper, we construct a simple convolutional neural network to extract comprehensive frequency features from raw audio to complement spectral-temporal information fusion. The parameters of this neural network are continuously updated during the training process to extract better frequency features for downstream classification neural networks in ASD. Additionally, a method for data augmentation in the batch dimension was developed to help the classification model learn both types of comprehensive features simultaneously. The proposed method achieved an AUC of 94.13% and a pAUC of 89.09% on the DCASE 2020 Challenge Task 2 dataset. Even when using only the features proposed in this paper, an AUC of 84.62% was achieved. Dual-Path Spectrogram Refinement Network for Robust Speaker Verification

The accuracy and reliability of automatic speaker verification (ASV) face significant challenges in noisy environments. In recent years, joint training of speech enhancement front-end and ASV back-end has been widely applied to improve the robustness of ASV systems. Traditional joint training directly uses the enhanced speech features as the input of the back-end. However, the diversity of noise types and noise intensities will excessively suppress the enhanced features, resulting in speech distortion or residual noise. To alleviate this problem, we propose a dual-path spectrogram refinement network that enables the enhanced features to learn supplementary information from the separated noise features. In addition, we incorporate coordinate attention into the overall joint architecture to capture more comprehensive frequency and temporal information of the speaker from different spatial positions. We conduct extensive experiments on the VoxCeleb1 test set, the out-of-domain noise test set, and the VOiCES corpus. The experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method significantly improves the accuracy and robustness of speaker verification systems in both clean and noisy environments. Knowledge graphs are used to alleviate the problems of data sparsity and cold starts in recommendation systems. However, most existing approaches ignore the hierarchical structure of the knowledge graph. In this paper, we propose a box embedding method for knowledge graph-enhanced recommendation system. Specifically, the box embedding represents not only the interaction between the user and the item, but also the head entity, the tail entity and the relation between them in the knowledge graph. Then the interaction between the item and the corresponding entity is calculated by the multi-task attention unit. Experimental results show that our method provides a large improvement over previous models in terms of Area Under Curve (AUC) and accuracy in publicly available recommendation datasets with three different domains. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

In this paper, we propose a highly accurate scheme for two KdV systems of the Boussinesq type under periodic boundary conditions. The proposed scheme combines the Fourier-Galerkin method for spatial discretization with Hamiltonian boundary value methods for time integration, ensuring the conservation of discrete mass and energy. By expanding the system in Fourier series, the equations are firstly transformed into Hamiltonian form, preserving the original Hamiltonian structure. Applying the Fourier-Galerkin method for semi-discretization in space, we obtain a large-scale system of Hamiltonian ordinary differential equations, which is then solved using a class of energy-conserving Runge-Kutta methods, known as Hamiltonian boundary value methods. The efficiency of this approach is assessed, and several numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. © 2025 IMACS

With the development of communication technology, the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) is becoming increasingly important, enabling vehicle-to-everything communication for real-time information exchange and processing, thereby significantly enhancing traffic efficiency and safety. In this article, we consider a joint beamforming design problem in IoV, where the objective is to minimize transmission power, computation rate, and communication rate within the integrated sensing, communication, and computation (ISCC) framework. Moreover, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) can provide additional spatial degrees of freedom to enhance the performance of ISCC systems in IoV within limited spectrum, energy resources, and complex interference management. To address the joint beamforming design problem, we present a cooperative beamforming algorithm called weight performance optimization (WPO), which explores three single-objective optimization problems in sensing, computation, and communication within the IoV context, using alternating optimization (AO) to simplify and solve these foundational elements of the WPO framework within limited resources and vehicle mobility, enhancing resource distribution while maintaining a balance between power efficiency and system performance. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency and potential advantages of our proposed algorithms. Specifically, the results show that the sensing error of the WPO algorithm is reduced by up to 92.2% compared to existing popular algorithms, while the computation rate and communication rate are increased by more than 29.5% and 23.9%, respectively. © 2014 IEEE.

Mode division multiplexing (MDM) optical fiber communication technology enhances bandwidth utilization and communication capacity to address the increasing demand for high-capacity data transmission in the era of rapid network traffic growth. For MDM optical fiber communication systems affected by various impairments, optical performance monitoring (OPM) can effectively characterize the impairments in received optical signals, directly reflecting the transmission signal state and channel conditions, and help ensure efficient and stable network operation. In this paper, we propose a multi-task convolutional neural network (MT-CNN) aided OPM method for MDM signals. The proposed MTCNN combines convolutional neural networks and a multi-task learning framework to extract the transmission link information and predict the optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) of few-mode channels synchronously. Simulation results show that the proposed MT-CNN-based OPM scheme can achieve accurate OSNR performance evaluation for MDM fiber transmission signals. © 2025 SPIE.

Curvilinear Structure segmentation has numerous applications in various fields, including providing a better understanding of defects such as cracks on roads or walls, thereby assessing the structural safety of buildings. Numerous curve segmentation methods based on Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN) have been developed in recent years. However, preserving feature integrity remains a challenge. To address this issue, this paper introduces a double dynamic network, called DD-Net, which consists of a dynamic structure for training and dynamic masking for inference. Firstly, to enhance the nonlinearity of the model, a paradigm to auto-adjust the CNN structure via a trainable module is formed for better fine-grained feature extraction. This dynamic structure (DS) paradigm enables a trade-off to extract or discard the feature data in the model training. Due to the data heterogeneity between the training and inference data, models may contain some useless nodes that are less effective during inference. The dynamic masking (DM) is proposed to omit the useless nodes based on the score difference between the train and inference feature statistics, thereby reducing redundant computations. To further improve the model’s performance on thin-curve segmentation and to preserve feature integrity, we introduce a non-curve suppression (NCS) module. This module focuses on background information while considering foreground prediction to address noisy conditions. The experimental results show that our DD-Net achieves promising results on three benchmark datasets and outperforms state-of-the-art curve segmentation models. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
