Tilting quadrotor aircraft not only has the advantages of tilting twin-rotor aircraft, such as vertical takeoff and landing, free hovering and long-range transportation, and high-speed cruise, but also can improve the flight performance, carrying capacity and maneuverability of the aircraft. Taking a 100kg electric tilting quadrotor UAV as the target platform, the design technology of flight control system of the UAV was studied, including the reasonable and feasible system configuration, software and hardware development technology, system control law design technology, and the establishment technology of simulation platform of the system. The results show that the technical approach for the design of the flight control system of the electric tilting quadrotor is effective and can satisfy the operation requirements of the UAV.

To improve the understanding on the mechanisms of phase distribution and bubble interaction for cap bubbly flow in rod bundles, the adiabatic upward cap bubbly flow has been investigated experimentally in 5×5 rod bundles with prototypical mixing vane spacer grids (MVSGs). Miniaturized four-sensor conductivity probe (MFSCP) has been developed to measure the local two phase flow parameters, such as void fraction, interfacial area concentration (IAC), bubble velocity, and bubble chord length. The detailed local parameters in cap bubbly flow has been measured and analyzed, based on which the phase distribution characteristics have been analyzed for Group I and II bubbles in detail. Moreover, the axial development and the effect of MVSG have also been analyzed. Some interesting phenomenon have been observed: Group I void fraction profile is almost flat at the measuring line while Group II void fraction profile has the skewed peaks near the sub-channel center resulted for the limitation of rod walls and the strong secondary flow;Group I IAC is the main contribution to the total IAC, whose profile has the peaks near the rod gap due to the smaller bubble size near the rod walls. For current cap bubbly flow condition, the bubble velocity and size are the two determined factors for Group I IAC for the similar void fraction, while the void fraction is the key factor for Group II IAC for the larger bubble size. Furthermore, because of the shear force of MVSG and induced stronger turbulence, the large Group II bubbles break up into Group I bubbles and smaller Group II bubbles, which results in the smaller bubble size and larger Group I void fraction and IAC. According to the analysis on the axial development of local parameter profiles, the MVSG dissipation length might be larger than 19.4 L/Dh, but smaller than 32.1 L/Dh for current cap bubbly flow condition. Warm water cooling has been regarded as a promising method to improve the energy efficiency of water-cooled datacenters. In warm water-cooling systems, hot spots occur as a common problem where the hybrid cooling architecture integrating thermoelectric coolers (TECs) emerges as a new remedy. Equipped with this architecture, the inlet water temperature can be raised higher, which provides more opportunities for heat recycling. However, currently, the heat absorbed from the server components is ejected directly into the water without being recycled, which leads to energy wasting. In order to further improve the energy efficiency, we propose Heat to Power (H2P), an economical and energy-recycling warm water cooling architecture, where thermoelectric generators (TEGs) harvest thermal energy from the “used” warm water and generate electricity for reusing in datacenters. Specifically, we propose some efficient optimization methods, including an economical water circulation design, fine-grained adjustments of the cooling setting and dynamic workload scheduling for increasing the power generated by TEGs. We evaluate H2P based on a real hardware prototype and cluster traces from Google and Alibaba. Experiment results show that TEGs equipped with our optimization methods can averagely generate 4.349 W, 4.203 W, and 3.979 W (4.177 W averagely) electricity on one CPU under the drastic, irregular and common workload traces, respectively. The power reusing efficiency (PRE) can reach 12.8%~16.2% (14.23% averagely) and the total cost of ownership (TCO) of datacenters can be reduced by up to 0.57%.

Integrated circuits(ICs) and optoelectronic chips are the foundation stones of the modern information society. The IC industry has been driven by the so-called "Moore's law" in the past 60 years, and now has entered the post Moore's law era. In this paper, we review the recent progress of ICs and optoelectronic chips. The research status, technical challenges and development trend of devices, chips and integrated technologies of typical IC and optoelectronic chips are focused on. The main contents include the development law of IC and optoelectronic chip technology, the IC design and processing technology, emerging memory and chip architecture, brain-like chip structure and its mechanism, heterogeneous integration, quantum chip technology, silicon photonics chip technology, integrated microwave photonic chip, and optoelectronic hybrid integrated chip.

In order to settle the complex problem of layout of spatial pipeline, the diameter of pipeline is taken as the distance between adjacent scattered points, and the spatial layout including obstacles is approximated as a three-dimensional diagram of scattered points. A-star algorithm is used to search an optimal pipelines path from the three-dimensional diagram of scattered points. However, when traditional A-star algorithm addresses pre-selected points that are the same cost, it selects pre-selected points randomly. In view of the disadvantages, an adaptive A-star algorithm is proposed based on the traditional A-star algorithm, in this paper. The adaptive A-star algorithm selects more reasonable pre-selected point according to the surrounding environment and situation of pre-selected point , so as to achieve the requirements of the shortest pipeline and the fewest inflection point. Finally, the experimental simulation shows that the adaptive A-star algorithm has better performance than the traditional A-star algorithm.

MC3D-AD: A Unified Geometry-aware Reconstruction Model for Multi-category 3D Anomaly Detection

3D Anomaly Detection (AD) is a promising means of controlling the quality of manufactured products. However, existing methods typically require carefully training a task-specific model for each category independently, leading to high cost, low efficiency, and weak generalization. Therefore, this paper presents a novel unified model for Multi-Category 3D Anomaly Detection (MC3D-AD) that aims to utilize both local and global geometry-aware information to reconstruct normal representations of all categories. First, to learn robust and generalized features of different categories, we propose an adaptive geometry-aware masked attention module that extracts geometry variation information to guide mask attention. Then, we introduce a local geometry-aware encoder reinforced by the improved mask attention to encode group-level feature tokens. Finally, we design a global query decoder that utilizes point cloud position embeddings to improve the decoding process and reconstruction ability. This leads to local and global geometry-aware reconstructed feature tokens for the AD task. MC3D-AD is evaluated on two publicly available Real3D-AD and Anomaly-ShapeNet datasets, and exhibits significant superiority over current state-of-the-art single-category methods, achieving 3.1% and 9.3% improvement in object-level AUROC over Real3D-AD and Anomaly-ShapeNet, respectively. The development of fault-tolerant quantum processors relies on the ability to control noise. A particularly insidious form of noise is temporally correlated or non-Markovian noise. By combining randomized benchmarking with supervised machine learning algorithms, we develop a method to learn the details of temporally correlated noise. In particular, we can learn the time-independent evolution operator of system plus bath and this leads to (i) the ability to characterize the degree of non-Markovianity of the dynamics and (ii) the ability to predict the dynamics of the system even beyond the times we have used to train our model. We exemplify this by implementing our method on a superconducting quantum processor. Our experimental results show a drastic change between the Markovian and non-Markovian regimes for the learning accuracies. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In recent years, the development and deployment of the U.S. weapon equipment systems-of-systems (SoS) have yielded rich research results. However, there are still large gaps in the SoS development, joint testing, and design and acquisition of our own equipment SoS. The barriers of these steps have not yet been opened up. This article mainly analyzes the solutions of the U.S. weapon equipment SoS from three aspects, such as capability-based requirement generation and architecture design technology, interconnected-oriented integration test technology, and weapon equipment design and acquisition technology based on complex adaptive systems. We explore key technologies involved in order to form an overall understanding and explore related research approaches.

Escape routing is a critical problem in PCB routing, and its quality greatly affects the PCB design cost. Unlike the traditional escape routing that works mainly for the BGA package with unique line width and space, this paper presents a high-performance escape routing algorithm to handle problems with variable design rules and manual constraints, including variable line widths/spaces, the neck mode of wires, and the pad entry for differential pairs. We first propose a novel obstacle-avoiding method to project pins to the boundary and construct a channel projection graph. We then construct a bi-projection graph and propose a matching-based hierarchical sequencing algorithm to consider manual constraints. We perform global routing for each pin/differential pair by congestion-avoiding path initialization and rip-up and reroute path optimization. Finally, we complete detailed routing in every face, ensuring the wire angle and pad entry constraints. Experimental results show that our algorithm can achieve 100% routability without any design rule violation for all given industrial PCB instances, while two state-of-the-art routers cannot complete routing.

As initial basic applications expand into more complex and diverse fields, including prosthesis, the metaverse, and information encryption, the diversification, multifunctionality, and customization of electronic skin (e-skin) have increasingly become prominent research trends. However, most e-skins focus on achieving higher performance and a broader response range, lacking functionality and mode customization options. Here, a mode designable bioinspired e-skin is reported, utilizing a mechanical strategy combined with interface assembly technology, and achieving the integration of optical and electrical sensing capabilities in single functional material. Benefiting from the tunable engineering of nanowire structures, the Mode I demonstrates for the first time an anisotropic infrared-electrical combined e-skin, achieving remarkable anisotropic electrical performance with an anisotropy index (GF/GF) greater than 10 and stable anisotropy infrared transmittance changes even after 10 cycles at 75% strain. On the other hand, the Mode II offers an interference-resistant e-skin that maintains stable electrical performance and infrared transmittance under complex deformations based on novel 3D buckled structure. Finally, the two modes are integrated and successfully applied to the multiple encryption of customized information, presenting significant potential for confidential military projects.
