The integration of multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) into complex systems has paved new ways for collaborative problem-solving. However, traditional approaches to MARL frequently encounter the challenge of achieving ef-ficient communication among agents, essential for coordinated action. This paper introduces a region division and leader-follower(RDLF) communication algrithm with the MARL frame-work. RDLF divides the environment into several regions, each managed by a leader agent that coordinates the actions of fol-lower agents and handling inter-region communication. This hier-archical structure reduces unnecessary communication, enhancing learning efficiency. Experimental results in multi-particle en-vironments demonstrate RDLF's superiority over existing MARL algorithms, especially with increasing agent numbers. RDLF effectively addresses scalability and communication challenges in large-scale multi-agent systems, providing a robust foundation for its application in complex and dynamic environment.

As the deployment,supporting,and stability mechanisms of satellite antennas,space-deployable mechanisms play a key role in the field of *** order to design truss deployable antenna supporting mechanisms with large folding rate,high accuracy,easy deployment and strong stability,aiming at the geometric division of the parabolic reflector,a novel method based on symmetric hexagonal division and its corresponding modular truss deployable antenna mechanism is proposed,and the original method based on asymmetric triangular division and its corresponding mechanisms are presented for comparative ***,the screw theory is employed to analyze the mobility of different ***,the improved three-dimensional mesh method is used to divide the reflector surface of a large parabolic antenna designed by the two different methods,and the profile accuracy and the type of links are taken as the evaluation indexes to quantitatively analyze the division ***,a three-dimensional model of the modular deployable mechanism based on the symmetric hexagonal design is developed,and the deployable mechanisms with different configurations based on the two design methods are compared and analyzed from the mechanical *** research results provide a good theoretical reference for the design of deployable truss antenna mechanisms and their application in the aerospace field.

An any cell to any cell equalization circuit, which is based on switched capacitors and energy bus, is proposed in this paper. In this equalization topology, any high voltage cell can directly transfer the power to any low voltage cell through energy bus. With the increasing miniaturisation and integration of circuit boards, the topology proposed in this paper reduces the size of the circuit by varying the capacitance and frequency in order to further reduce the area and weight of the circuit. At the same time compared with the equalization circuit using transformers or inductance devices, this circuit has the characteristics of low cost, low-weight, small-size, easy integration and simple control scheme and it is suitable for applictions such as aerospace and unmanned aerial vehicles. This article summarizes the composite honeycomb structure which possess important meaning and application value on the high-precision satellite antenna reflector. The key technologies of composite material honeycomb structure are summarized, including the material selection for satellite antenna reflector, honeycomb configuration, fabrication process, mechanical properties, lightweight design, surface accuracy, thermal deformation control and other issues. The development goal of “lighter, larger, more refined and more stable” are put forward after looking forward to the manufacturing technology and functional requirement of the future satellite antenna reflector. © 2022, Chinese Society of Astronautics.

Numerical simulation of a UAV impacting engine fan blades

A 3D digital model of a small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)is obtained by using the method of scanning reverse modeling and joint mapping.A numerical simulation of a small UAV strikes on rotary engine blades,presented in this paper,was performed with a Transient Nonlinear Finite Element code PAM-CRASH software.A test of motor strike on plate was developed and the dynamic response of the plate were obtained to validate the numerical simulation method of a UAV strike on *** on this,dynamic damage response caused by UAV on the engine blades were *** is indicated that the impact process between the UAV and a single blade can be divided into two typical stages:cutting and *** mainly leads to the failure of the leading edge material,and impact mainly leads to the plastic deformation of the *** the same time,it is compared with the damage impacted by bird with the same *** the same mass of bird and UAV,the damage caused by UAV striking fan blade is more serious,and 1.345 kg UAV striking fan blade of typical civil aviation engine is enough to cause damage to flight safety.

On the Accuracy and Efficiency of the reactor Operation Digital Twin for Parameter Identification and State Estimation

Accurate and efficient online parameter identification and state estimation are crucial to leveraging Digital Twin simulations for optimizing the operation of near-carbon-free nuclear energy systems. In previous works, we have developed the idea of reactor Operation Digital Twin (RODT). However, non-differentiabilities and discontinuities arise when employing some machine learning based surrogate forward models, challenging traditional gradient-based inverse methods and their variants. This study investigates deterministic and metaheuristic algorithms and further develops hybrid algorithms to address such issues. An efficient modular RODT software framework is presented incorporating these methods into its post-evaluation module for comprehensive comparison. Methods are rigorously assessed based on convergence profiles, stability with respect to noise, and computational performance. Numerical results demonstrate that the hybrid KNNLHS algorithm delivers the optimal balance of accuracy and efficiency for real-time online applications. Meanwhile, algorithms like FSA, DE and ADE exhibit slower yet highly accurate performance. This work advances RODT methodologies to harness machine learning and systems modelling for improved reactor monitoring, systematic diagnosis of off-normal events, lifetime management strategies, etc. The developed modular software and novel optimization methods presented offer pathways to realize the full potential of RODT for transforming energy engineering practices. © 2023, The Authors. Target-background feature blocks and aberrance repressed correlation filters for real-time UAV tracking

In recent years, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) tracking technology has been widely applied in fields such as agriculture and aviation. However, due to limitations in UAV computational resources and battery life, deep learning-based tracking algorithms are difficult to deploy directly. Therefore, efficient and robust tracking methods based on Discriminative Correlation Filters (DCF) have become the mainstream for UAV tracking. The traditional DCF method updates the model with a fixed step size, making it prone to contamination, while the boundary effect further limits its tracking capability. To address the issue of model contamination, an appearance model update and masking mechanism was designed, introducing feature confidence and overall confidence thresholds to evaluate the quality of features and images. Features and images with poor quality are masked, and the learning rate is reduced to prevent model contamination. This paper proposes the Target-Background Feature Block and Aberrance Repressed Correlation Filter (TBFBARCF), which introduces target and background regularization terms into the spatial filter to mitigate boundary effects and incorporates an aberrance repression regularization term into the temporal aberrance repressed filter to reduce response map aberrance. The two filters mutually constrain each other and are jointly trained. Experiments conducted on three challenging datasets, OTB100, UAV123, and UAVDT, demonstrate that the TBFBARCF tracker outperforms 11 other DCF-based trackers. Its average precision and average success rate reach 0.756 and 0.62, respectively, and it operates at a speed of 36.6 frames per second (FPS) on a CPU platform. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

Hybrid memory systems show strong potential to satisfy the growing memory demands of modern applications by combining different memory technologies. Due to the different performance characteristics of hybrid memories, a data migration strategy that migrates hot data to a faster memory is critical to the overall performance. Prior works have focused on identifying hot data and migration decisions. However, we find that the fix-sized global migration granularity in existing data migration schemes results in suboptimal performance on most workloads. The key observation is that the optimal migration granularity varies with access patterns. This paper proposes AGDM, an access-pattern-aware Adaptive Granularity Data Migration strategy for hybrid memory systems. AGDM tracks memory access patterns in runtime and accordingly adopts the most appropriate migration mode and granularity. The novel remapping-migration decoupled metadata organization enables AGDM to set local optimal gran-ularities for memory regions with different access patterns. Our evaluation shows that, compared to the state-of-the-art scheme, AGDM gets an average performance improvement of 20.06% with 29.98% energy savings.

The effect of different gravity fields on mass transfer in the rat bone lacunar-canalicular system

Processing at operating unit (OU) granularity can alleviate the program variation effect and ADC conversion overhead in emerging non-volatile memory (eNVM) based accelerators. However, our experiments show that the IR drop effect can severely decrease computing accuracy when processing at OU granularity. Moreover, the IR drop effect on the entire array differs from the IR drop effect on OUs, meaning compensating at OU granularity is necessary. We also notice that the IR drop effect differs among OUs, and previous IR drop mitigation methods introduce more latency, area, and power overhead to adapt to these differences. Compensation modules from their methods calibrated for one OU do not apply to other OUs and need to be configured for each OU compensation using configuration modules. This paper proposes ICON, an IR drop compensation method at OU granularity with low overhead for eNVM-based accelerators. In order to decrease compensation latency, area, and power overhead, we perform several optimizations. First, the designed compensation circuit is simplified and does not compensate for the IR drop effect caused by parasitic resistances inside an OU. This simplification is based on our observation that the parasitic wire resistances inside an OU can be ignored using the OU size mentioned in previous works. Second, the compensation circuit is designed without the help of configuration circuits. We take the IR drop differences among OUs as input parameters of the compensation circuit so that it can apply to all OUs. Furthermore, the compensation circuit is pipelined into six stages to increase throughput. Experiments show that our compensation method can overcome the IR drop problem when processing in the eNVM-based crossbar array at OU granularity, with 1.3× ~ 13× lower latency, 1.5× ~ 33.1× lower area, and 1.4× ~ 8.4× lower power overhead compared with state-of-the-art methods.
