Large-area flexible roll-out solar array system has huge application potential in space structure especially for the Space Solar Power system (SSPS) due to the advantages of the lightweight, high area to mass ratio, excellent folding and deployable capabilities. For SSPS to operate economically, solar array system must operate at power levels greater than MW, while the commercial SSPS should operate at power levels no less than GW. Therefore, advanced flexible solar array systems with areas up to 104 m2 and 107 m2 are essential. In this study, a modular large-area flexible roll-out solar array system with several subarrays is proposed, in which Composite lenticular boom is used as the load-carrying structure, and inflation constrained with Velcros is designed as the drive mechanism. The single array can be expanded to more than 1000 m2, while the specific power is expected to reach more than 500 W/kg. In this paper, structural dynamics, inflation deployment dynamics and on-orbit thermal performances of the subarray are analyzed, the result show that the proposed solar array system is reasonable and feasible for SSPS application. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Currently, with the deepening of development and open of China's border, issues of border joint defense become increasingly arduous. Traditional means of cooperation and coordination are far from being able to align requirements;information systems of different joint defense units are difficult to interconnect and interoperate;the previous results of joint defense informatization are difficult to inherit. The main reason is the lack of border joint defense information construction with a top-level design approach. Via the lens of top-level design, this paper establishes a multi-viewpoint architecture framework and transformation process, develops the as-is and to-be joint defense architecture, and finally analyzes transformation principles from the as-is architecture to to-be architecture. This paper mainly explores the architecture transformation mechanisms under the border joint defense scenario. © 2021 ACM.

Monitoring key parameters in nuclear power plant control rooms is critical, as human errors can result in severe safety and operational consequences. This study proposes a hybrid framework for power prediction and fault detection that integrates multi-head self-attention mechanisms with long short-term memory networks, combined with a dual-monitoring system. The framework is evaluated using real-time data from two pressurized water reactor units (Units 5 and 6) under four realistic operational scenarios. In the most informative case, the model achieves a 56.6% reduction in root mean square error and a 36.8% reduction in mean absolute error, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.9924—significantly outperforming the next-best benchmark. For fault diagnosis, the dual-monitoring system reduces the false negative rate to 18.73% and improves recall to 81.27%, demonstrating strong anomaly detection under complex conditions. By combining short-term fluctuation sensitivity with long-term trend stability, the proposed approach offers a robust and generalizable solution for intelligent monitoring. These findings advance the development of artificial intelligence–enhanced systems for secure and efficient operation of critical energy infrastructure. © 2025 The Authors

With the rapid development of avionics display field, the traditional graphics software development method can no longer meet the needs of high security and efficiency. This paper studies a development method based on SCADE Display, a high security graphics application development tool, analyses the principle and characteristics of SCADE Display, applies SCADE Display to design airborne display scene models, and tests, analyses and optimizes the process on a home-made test platform. Finally, the experimental results show that the optimized solution can effectively improve the development efficiency and graphics frame rate, and also verify the adaptability and functionality of the home-made platform. © 2022 IEEE.

In this work,neodymium(Nd)and samarium(Sm)codoped lead lanthanum zirconate titanate(PLZT)ceramics were prepared by a high-temperature solid-state *** samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and ferroelectric *** earth-doped PLZT ceramics show good phase *** appropriate rare earth element doping amount increases the densities of PLZT ceramics and reduces their resistivities,which is due to the role of rare earth elements in grain ***,the increase in the amount of grain boundaries caused by grain refinement also affects domain ***,with increasing doping concentration,the remnant polarization of PLZT gradually decreases,and the doping of rare earth elements also slightly reduces the band gap of *** irradiation with an X-ray simulated beta source with a particle energy of 10 keV(between the average energies of the beta particles of^3H and^(63)Ni),the ceramic sheets in this work produce current densities of up to 1.38 nA/cm^*** indicates that Nd and Sm codoped PLZT ceramics have a certain potential for application in betavoltaic batteries.

IEEE 802.11 Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is a popular way for mobile devices to access the Internet. Operators and service providers often increase the density of wireless access points in order to provide users with better connections and user experience. As a result, WLAN users find themselves covered by multiple access points. In traditional wireless multi-hotspot networks most user terminals choose the access point with the strongest signal without considering the existing load on that access point, leading to severe congestion and load imbalance problems. This paper proposes an improved NSGA-II-based load balancing strategy for wireless multi-hotspot networks, which determines which hotspot should be associated with each user terminal by taking into account the current access point load, the received signal strength and the throughput size of the user terminal. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional strongest signal First (SSF) strategy, the proposed load balancing strategy can improve the network throughput by more than 30%. © 2022 IEEE.

The spreading and evaporation of sodium droplets is one of the fundamental phenomena in high-temperature heat pipes. The LBM sodium two-phase flow and phase transition model, which can simulate a huge liquid-vapor density ratio, is first established and validated. Then, the spreading and evaporation processes of sodium droplets on solid walls with different wettability are numerically simulated and analyzed. The main conclusions obtained are as follows: (1) The dimensionless spreading diameter and time of the droplet spreading process conforms to Tanner's power law, and the power exponent has exponential relationship with the equilibrium wetting angle;(2) The maximum dimensionless spreading diameter is negatively and linearly correlated with the equilibrium wetting angle;(3) Evaporation of sodium droplets under constant heat flow conditions shows a mixed pattern. The droplets will be detached from the droplet wall at the late stage of evaporation, and the larger the equilibrium wetting angle the sooner the droplets detach. © 2024, The Authors. Chiller model is a key factor to building energy simulation and chiller performance *** spread of new types of electric water chillers that have higher performance and wider operating range,new challenges have been faced by building energy simulation tools and their chiller *** work takes a new type of electric water chiller as a case study and reevaluates eight typical empirically based models for predicting the energy performance of electric water chiller to verify whether they are suitable for the new type of chiller,using both laboratory test data from chiller manufacturer and online monitoring data from on-site operation of a central cooling plant with chillers of the same *** prediction ability of the chiller models(including model prediction accuracy and generation ability)in laboratory test and on-site operation situations are *** results show that the existing models can well describe the chiller performance in the laboratory test situation but perform poorly in the on-site operation *** the best two models in the laboratory dataset,the overall prediction errors of DOE-2 and GN model increase more than 250%and 75%respectively in the field *** big discrepancy of model prediction accuracy in the two situations is mainly due to the differences of evaporator and condenser water flow rates between the laboratory and on-site operation datasets,which indicates the limitations of the empirical chiller models and implies further research in future in order to improve the suitability and reliability of chiller model.

In this research, a series of hollow glass powder(HGP) reinforced magnetorheological plastomers(MRPs)were prepared to improve the impact resistance of the materials, and the dynamic compressive properties of MRPs under high strain rate were investigated by using a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)system equipped with a customized magnetic device. Experimental results showed the HGPs greatly enhanced the yield stresses of the MRPs. Especially, for MRPs with 9 vol.% carbonyl iron powders(CIPs), the magnetic-induced yield stress increased from 7.3 MPa to 17.1 MPa(134% increased) by adding 18 vol.%HGPs. The particle structures in MRPs were further simulated and the corresponding intergranular stress was calculated to study the enhancement effect of HGPs. The simulated results showed that more compact structures were formed with the excluded volume caused by secondary HGPs, so the yield stresses of the MRPs increased under a magnetic field. However, when the mass ratio of HGP to CIP was larger than 0.67, HGPs would hinder the formation of chain-like structures and reduce the magneto-mechanical properties. As a result, the replacing of CIPs by HGPs was proven to be an excellent strategy to improve the dynamic properties of MRPs.

Modern SSDs achieve low latency and high throughput by utilizing multiple levels of SSD parallelism. Fairness is also a critical design consideration in cloud environments and has inspired great interest in recent years to study it. However, we find that excessive striving for SSD parallelism can inadvertently harm the SSD fairness due to the striped data layout. We observe from our experimental analysis that some common access patterns in cloud loads (e.g., high-intensity I/O) are not addressed by SSD parallelism, which can affect both SSD parallelism and fairness. In this paper, we analyze two address mapping policies with orthogonal characteristics from SSD parallelism and fairness perspectives. Based on extensive experiments and observations, we schedule a hybrid address mapping policy to achieve fairness of SSDs in cloud environments by distinguishing different I/O access modes and cold/hot data, while ensuring SSD performance. Experimental results on the latest block-level I/O traces show that our approach significantly improves performance and fairness by up to 77.3% and 62.8%, respectively, over the previous schemes with negligible cost. Meanwhile, it can also reduce the write amplification by 23.5% to 33.5%.
