The method of characteristics (MOC) with matrix form has theoretically more favorable features than its standard application, since the time-consuming track sweeping operations are replaced with explicit solution of matrix equation. In traditional MOC, there are three optional discretization strategies: the step characteristic method, diamond difference scheme and linear source approximation. However, their performances in matrix MOC have not be reported so far. The current paper develops their matrix forms and solves the resulted linear systems using preconditioned generalized minimal residual (PGM-RES) method. Additionally, their performances with respect of computation accuracy and efficiency are compared with each other, by simulating a homogeneous hexagonal cell problem and the 2D C5G7 benchmark. The results show that their performances in matrix form are different from that of traditional form. With the same angular quadrature and region partition scheme, the step characteristic method is more efficient significantly than the diamond difference scheme and linear source approximation. Whether the diamond difference scheme and linear source approximation can improve the calculation accuracy or not depends on whether the the spatial mesh is fine enough for every scheme. For the coarser spatial partition strategy, diamond difference scheme and linear source approximation can significantly improve the accuracy of local pin power. © 2018 International Conference on Physics of reactors, PHYSOR 2018: reactor Physics Paving the Way Towards More Efficient systems. CSR1000 (china supercritical water reactor, 1000MWe) was developed by NPIC, as BWR, the pressure vessel's reactor and directly circulate loop was adopted, however, the coolant will encounter double flow pass in the reactor. The passive engineering safety feature was adopted and the reactor residual heat will be removed by natural circulation of coolant. As above character, loss of feed water or loss of offsite power will cause completely loss of forced flow accident, the flow in first pass of core will encounter flow inversion during this course, these factor make the LOFA(Loss Of forced Flow Accident) become one of the most limiting accident in CSR1000. The LOFA was analyzed by APROS. The result shows, during the short time of LOFA, the passive operation of HFT will mitigate the accident, and during long term, the passive residual heat removal system will function and maintain the core within the safety state. © 2018 American Nuclear Society. Facile detection, differentiation, and detoxification of multiple heavy metal ions in a simple molecule design presents an ultimate challenge.[1] Here we reported a coumarin-thiazolidine based theranostic fluorescent probe 1（R=Et） with two latent metal ion binding sites and two distinctive hydrolysis sites which are promoted by metal-ion-complexation for achieving divergent fluorescence responses for the three heavy metal ions: an "on-off" response for Ag+, an "off-on" response for Hg2+, and a self-threshold ratiometric fluorescence response for Cu2+. The probe 1 also showed cell-protective effects comparable to D-penicillamine against Ag+, Cu2+, or Hg2+-induced cytotoxicity in MCF-7 cells.[2] By studying the fluorescence response and mechanism of the probe for Cu2+, we proposed a new concept of "self-threshold fluorescent probe" in fluorescent probe design. Such a probe gives cut-out fluorescence readout when the concentration of the analyte of interest above a certain threshold that is dependent on the probe’s concentration. The key to the self-threshold fluorescent probe design is the sequential binding of two different binding sites with differentiable fluorescence readout. Such a self-threshold fluorescent probe is particularly useful for determining whether concentration of the analyte of interest is over a certain limit or not. [2] Moreover, we also find that allosteric effect may also contribute to the sequential binding of the Cu2+ and the self-threshold fluorescence readout. [2]

Mobile crowd sensing is an innovative paradigm which leverages the crowd, i.e., a large group of people with their mobile devices, to sense various information in the physical world. With the help of sensed information, many tasks can be fulfilled in an efficient manner, such as environment monitoring, traffic prediction, and indoor localization. Task and participant matching is an important issue in mobile crowd sensing, because it determines the quality and efficiency of a mobile crowd sensing task. Hence, numerous matching strategies have been proposed in recent research work. This survey aims to provide an up-to-date view on this topic. We propose a research framework for the matching problem in this paper, including participant model, task model, and solution design. The participant model is made up of three kinds of participant characters, i.e., attributes, requirements, and supplements. The task models are separated according to application backgrounds and objective functions. Offline and online solutions in recent literatures are both discussed. Some open issues are introduced, including matching strategy for heterogeneous tasks, context-aware matching, online strategy, and leveraging historical data to finish new tasks.

3D MLC NAND Flash is more appreciated for its massive capacity and significant performance. It's common to configure a portion of flash blocks to SLC-mode to further shorten the requests latency at a small cost of capacity. However, the limited SLC-mode blocks provoke GC (Garbage Collection) procedures more frequently and the GC penalty is heavier for 3D Flash than that for 2D Flash. As the block of 3D Flash consists of much more pages, the increment in the block size prolongs the erase operation latency and increases the number of migrated pages during GC. Existing works focus on reducing the number of migrated pages with sub-block GC strategies, which deeply depends on the distribution of valid pages across the sub-blocks in the victim block. In this paper, we propose a set of schemes called DCD which consists of Dual-mode Handler, Compensated GC and Dynamic Data Distribution. The key idea is to exploit the shorter operation delays of SLC-mode to accelerate the valid pages' migrations during GC, which doesn't rely on the distribution of valid pages inside the victim block. Experimental results show that compared with state-of-the-art designs, DCD shortens the average read response time by 19.8% and 37.3% for block-level and page-level FTL, respectively.

Background RECQL4 is a critical factor in DNA repair and serves as a significant biomarker for liver cancer. Inhibiting RECQL4 induces apoptosis in liver cancer cells. Given the role of mitochondria in regulating apoptosis and the dual localization of RECQL4 in both the mitochondria and nucleus, targeting mitochondrial RECQL4 may induce mitochondrial dysfunction, thereby enhancing the therapeutic efficacy of liver cancer treatments. Purpose Unlike traditional drug structure optimization, which focuses solely on protein target interactions, our approach optimizes drug structure based on both organelle distribution and protein interactions. Methods As a proof of concept, we selected Rhein (4,5-dihydroxyanthraquinone-2-carboxylic acid), an auto-fluorescent, lipophilic anthraquinone found in a variety of different medicinal herbs used in TCM that is known to bind to RECQL4, a protein that is distributed throughout the cytosol, mitochondria, and other subcellular locations, albeit unevenly. Rhein has the tendency to accumulate in different subcellular organelles, which reduces the overall efficacy of the drug. To overcome this limitation, we conjugated a triphenylphosphonium group Rhein to direct the drug to the mitochondria, resulting in Rh-Mito . Results Our results demonstrated that this chemical modification retains the ability to intervene in the expression of RECQL4 protein while also improving the cellular uptake of Rh-Mito . Utilizing advanced imaging techniques, we show that Rh-Mito preferentially accumulated in the mitochondria, where it targeted RECQL4 to inhibit the repair of mtDNA, altered the morphology of mitochondrial cristae, and induced apoptosis. Notably, Rh-Mito displayed superior anti-tumor efficacy compared to unmodified Rhein. Conclusion Rh-Mito was designed to selectively target mitochondria, avoiding interactions with other organelles. Surgical instrument detection and tracking is one of the core technologies of surgical robots, which can assist clinicians in completing operations. However, existing methods need further improvement in terms of real-time performance and accuracy. We propose a deep learning algorithm, SI-YOLO, for detection of surgical instruments. SimAM attention mechanism is used to improve the feature extraction ability of YOLOv5. Replacing PANet with BiFPN in the neck network improves the feature fusion strategy. The α-IoU loss function is used to improve the regression accuracy of detection boxes. The mAP and FPS of the SI-YOLO reach 99.2% and 120 frames/sec, respectively. Aiming at the problem of ID transformation in the disappearance and occlusion of surgical instruments, the Inception-ResNet-v2 structure is added on the basis of the appearance feature extraction network Cosine of the DeepSort tracking algorithm. Combining SI-YOLO with the improved DeepSort implements the Tracking by Detection (TBD) algorithm. In the case of device disappearance or occlusion, the frequency of ID transitions is reduced by approximately 30%. Finally, we built a simulated surgery experimental platform, established our own data set, and realized the preliminary application of the proposed algorithm. © 2022, The Authors. KYCORE is a 3D direct reactor calculation code capable of performing reactor hetero geneous calculation without cross section homogenization and group condense. It is developed in Nuclear Power Institute of china, involving radial characteristics method (MOC) and axial discrete ordinate method (SN) coupled 3D neutron transport and subgroup method with fixed source problem for resonance treatment and depletion, aiming at providing mini core design and commercial reactor benchmark solution. This article briefly introduces optimized MOC/SN coupling, adjusted coarse mesh finite difference (CMFD) and resonance treatment. Mobility Analysis of Novel Deployable Mechanism Based on Tetrahedral Element

The DOF (degree of freedom) analysis is carried out for the symmetrical and asymmetrical composite unit mechanism based on the 3RR-3URU tetrahedral element and the deployable composite unit structure based on the 3UU-3URU tetrahedral basic element. Firstly, the DOF and properties of 3RR-3URU tetrahedral basic element are analyzed based on the link-demolishing and equivalent method. The basic elements are combined into symmetric 3RR-3URU composite unit and asymmetric 3RR-3URU composite unit. Then, the structures and the geometric constraints of the two composite units are analyzed, and the screw theory and G-K formula are applied to analyze the DOF of the two composite units. Secondly, in view of the problem that the composite unit based on 3RR-3URU cannot satisfy the large deployable antenna mechanism, the 3UU-3URU basic element and its composite unit are proposed, and the DOF of which are obtained according to G-K formula. Finally, the simulation models of three composite units are established, and the ADAMS simulation software is used to simulate the motion of the three combined units. The simulation results verify the correctness of the DOF analysis. The results provide an important theoretical basis for the design and analysis of tetrahedral deployable antenna mechanism. © 2019 Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
