china Integral reactor Plant (CIP) is a light water cooled, 300 MW power reactor under development by Chinese nationalkeylaboratory of reactorsystemdesigntechnology. CIP features an integral reactor vessel that contains the CRDM and major reactor coolant system components including reactor core, coolant pumps, once-through steam generators and pressurizer. This integral design approach eliminates the large coolant piping and large loss of coolant accident (LOCA), and thus provides with higher level of securities. This paper introduces the selection of CIP containment system, the design of containment, the determination of design pressure for containment and the calculation analysis of containment structure.

An adaptive predistortion linearization is proposed to compensate for the nonlinear distortions induced by high power amplifiers (HPAs) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. By expressing the uncertain nonlinear input-output dynamics of HPA by a new simplified Volterra series model (VSM), a predistorter (i.e., compensator) is constructed based on identification of inverse system of the HPA. Once predistorter's parameters are obtained by RLS algorithm, when OFDM signals pass through the cascade system of the predistorter and the HPA, overall linearization from predistorter input to HPA output can be achieved even if HPA is uncertain. The effectiveness of the proposed predistortion method is validated by numerical simulation for 64-ary quadrature amplitude modulation OFDM (64QAM-OFDM) transmission systems

The highly topological dynamics characterize the most fundamental property of satellite networks contrary to the terrestrial networks. This manifest feature directs the researches on various aspects of satellite networks, including routing and switching architecture selection, routing protocol and reliable transmission control protocol design and enhancement, etc,. The paper quantifies the dynamical activates of layered satellite network topologies. The number and length of network snapshots of one-layered satellite constellations are formulated concisely. The snapshot distributions of typical multi-layered constellations are also evaluated. With this work, it compensates for the simplified topological assumptions in many satellite network related investigations. The thorough understanding of this basic feature not only provides for an accurate quantification of network behavior, but also guides constellation design for future satellite networks

Aiming at the two main shortcomings in Homology Modeling, we have designed and established a domain clustering database. Searching the database is a fundamental work for it. However, current alignment algorithms are mainly based on the sequences, ignoring the structure conservation in domain. This paper proposed a profile-based alignment which considers the structure information into the profile, based on the character of our domain database. We designed an experiment within the database. The results show that both the quality and sensitivity of our scheme are better than pure Smith-Waterman and sequence-based profile algorithms. We strongly believe that this work can help to improve the protein structure prediction

The roundness error and rotation motion error of the least square center of measured section are separated by applying the roundness error separation principle based on the three-point method. Furthermore, the relationship between the pure rotation motion error and the initial position(linear eccentricity) of the least square center of measured section is described. The mathematical expression for separating the pure rotation motion error is put forward, in which the orthogonality of the trigonometric function and the above-obtained relationship is used. The experimental result indicates that the precision measurement of the radial rotation motion error of the gyro-axle can be achieved by three-point method.

In this article, a core fuel management program for hexagonal pressurized water type WWER reactors (CFMHEX) has been developed, which is based on advanced three-dimensional nodal method and integrated with thermal hydraulic code to realize the coupling of neutronics and thermal-hydraulics. In CFMHEX, all these feedback effects such as burnup, power distribution, moderator density, and control rod insertion are considered. The verification and validation of the code system have been examined through the IAEA WWER-1000-type Kalinin NPP benchmark problem. The numerical results are in good agreement with measurements and are close to those of other international institutes.

The volume average sizes of prepared emulsions were 3.53 μm and 3.6μm respectively. The results showed that the droplet sizes of two kinds of emulsions were similar but the monodispersed emulsion was only obtained with addition of surfactant into the dispersed phase.

We propose a non-data-aided (NDA) signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) estimation algorithm for quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) signals in an additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. The NDA SNR estimation algorithm for QAM signals is derived based on a statistical ratio of observables over a block of data. The simple analysis and computer simulation for some kinds of QAM signals have been done, the results of which have proved that all the tested QAM signals can be effectively estimated by this algorithm.

This paper discusses a rough set approach for evaluating solutions of scheduling problems. Algorithms for solving scheduling problems are planners and the scheduling problems are modelled as constraint satisfaction problems. Conventional approach for the analysis of algorithms often focuses on the time and representational complexities, and assumes an identical cost on all operations. The proposed rough set approach augments conventional approaches for the analysis of algorithms in two ways: 1) it permits the consideration of different costs arising from different operations; and 2) it allows one to define a new utility for a complexity analysis.
