The heat pipe is the essential component in the heat pipe cooled reactor, it conducts heat through the phase change of the working medium and the circulating flow of gas and liquid. One end of the heat pipe is inserted into the reactor as the evaporation section, while the other end serves as the condensation section connecting to the thermoelectric conversion system. Its heat transfer capacity and temperature distribution under a steady state affect the safety, core temperature and energy conversion efficiency of the heat pipe cooled reactor system. Predicting the heat transfer process and steady-state temperature distribution of the heat pipe is helpful to learn about the heat transfer mechanism inside the heat pipe and key factors affecting its performance. It is also helpful to predict the operating characteristics of the heat pipe cooled reactor system and improve the performance of the heat pipe. The heat pipe is generally considered to be a heat transfer element with good isothermal properties. Past studies, however, proved the significant quantity of its phase-change thermal resistance, resulting in a temperature difference at the gas-liquid interface of the heat pipe that affects the evaporation and condensation. Studies on the relationship between the temperature difference, the working temperature, and heat transfer power of the heat pipe are conductive to building a heat pipe model, to predict the temperature distribution of the heat pipe in a steady state in a much more accurate manner. This paper offered a heat pipe model that applies the temperature difference of the phase change interface to calculate the evaporation and condensation. Meanwhile, a 1-meter-long sodium heat pipe was adopted to carry out steady-state heat transfer experiments. Measured and computed the temperature difference of the phase change interface of the heat pipe under varying power and temperature and conducted the relational equation as the input of the heat pipe model. This study aims to explore the reform of mechanical drawing teaching and the undergraduate training model with the goal of cultivating high-quality mechanical engineering undergraduate students. Grounded in the concepts of 'synergy between science and education' and 'integration of competition-oriented education and industry-university collaboration,' this research places talent cultivation as the central focus, linking it with discipline construction and emphasizing scientific research. The study promotes the reform of a collaborative education mechanism known as 'integration of competition-oriented education and industry-university collaboration,' effectively establishing a multi-level and multi-dimensional undergraduate training model for mechanical engineering students that incorporates the 'dual mentor system' and integrates theory, practice, and application. To apply this model in teaching practice, this research has undertaken the reform of traditional engineering drawing education, specifically addressing the issue of the gap between theory and practice in conventional teaching approaches. The proposed training program not only facilitates the development of innovative mechanical engineering professionals but also offers insights for the reform of undergraduate teaching models in the context of constructing 'new engineering disciplines'. © 2024 IEEE.

Tilt-to-length (TTL) coupling noise is a significant noise source for test mass interferometers in Laser Interferometer Space Antenna or Taiji, but identifying key parameters is a challenge due to the large number of influencing factors and complex interrelationships. Simulation models based on the heterodyne interference process and the signal readout of the test mass interferometer were constructed to generate a dataset containing different parameters and corresponding to the longitudinal path length noise caused by TTL coupling. The eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) model was employed to fit the nonlinear relationships between the parameters and TTL coupling noise. Based on the fitting results of the XGBoost model, the sensitivity of single factor and multiple factors was performed using SHapley Additive exPlanation (SHAP) values and attribution value matrix, and the results were validated by the analytical models. Without reducing the fitting accuracy, the parameter dimension was decreased from ∼60 to 11 according to sensitivities, retaining those most relevant to angular misalignment. The results showed that the angle of the test mass, the angle of the beam splitters and mirrors, and the lateral offset of the test mass had a significant impact on TTL coupling noise. The introduction of machine learning methods into the study of TTL coupling contributes to a deeper understanding of noise mechanisms and provides references for optimizing the instrument design of the Taiji program. © 2025 SPIE. In the field of railway transportation, with the continuous improvement of train running speed and the continuous increase of operating mileage, it becomes particularly important to ensure the safety and integrity of small-Target infrastructure along the railway train. Although many small-Target detection methods have been proposed, the research on small-Target infrastructure detection along rail trains is very rare. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a small-Target infrastructure detection network with spatial tracking and multi-level feature extraction based on Yolov8n. The experimental results show that ST-YOLO has a 3.6% mAP improvement on the OSDaR23 dataset compared to the baseline Yolov8n, and shows significant advantages over other state-of-The-Art methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Combining pulverized coal gasifiers with cement kiln production is promising for application in low-cost and efficient NO *** paper presents a pulverized coal gasifier catalytic denitration technique and investigates the homogeneous reduction(by CO and CH_(4))and heterogeneous catalytic reduction(by coke,CaO,MgO,and Fe_(2)O_(3))of NO.A combination of Chemkin simulations and fixed-bed experiments is used to elucidate the reaction pathways and key intermediates of NO reduction by carbon-based *** addition,the activation energies for different catalyst combinations were analyzed via reaction *** results demonstrate that the presence of small amounts of O_(2) inhibits NO reduction by CO but promotes NO reduction by CH_(4).The NCO·radical is essential for the NO reduction process,and the generation of this radical depends on the CH_(4) cleavage intermediate and O·*** and Fe_(2)O_(3) exhibit more significant catalytic effects on NO reduction by carbon-based gases than the other catalysts *** presence of a small amount of O_(2) in the reacting gas mixtures facilitates the NO reduction *** activation energy is reduced to 1.02 kJ/mol,and the NO conversion reaches 99.80%when the catalyst is C+CaO+MgO+Fe_(2)O_(3) and the gas composition is CO+CH_(4)+O_(2).This work provides theoretical support and data recommendations for the use of pulverized coal gasifiers for the denitrification of cement kilns.

It's important to choose suitable kinetic parameters for vibration isolators to simulate the dynamic characteristic. The kinetic parameters have significant influence on the vibration reduction of vibration isolators. In this paper, the kinetic parameters of two kinds of metal-rubber (MR) vibration isolators of main pump are measured to accurately acquire the dynamic characteristic. The origin impedance and cross point impedance data is tested on the testing platform. The four-terminal parameter method is applied to calculate the stiffness and damping value of the MR vibration isolators. Unfortunately, the method can't simulation the influence of the peak value behind the standing wave frequency, which is caused by the internal resonance of the vibration isolators. A revised rod vibration model is adopted to simulate the internal resonance, because the rod vibration model can express the high order peak. The numerical results are in good agreement with experimental results. The pressurizer is an important equipment to maintain the stability of primary circuit in nuclear power plant. Pressurizer control system needs to be verified by effective testing. The most popular testing verification method on digital control system (DCS) is the discrete script tests. However it cannot make effective tests on the continuous variable process system. In this paper, a completed testing structure aiming on DCS is designed. The structure includes four levels: discrete script test, simulation test, stimulation test and online comparison test, which are in the progressive relationship, forming the comprehensive design and test system for the DCS. The system is applied to the verification of pressurizer in nuclear power plant. The translation-based virtual DCS based on Simulink can realize the function of virtualizing the physical DCS. This paper presents a method to virtualize physical DCS by using Simulink to realize the functions of running, freezing, acceleration and deceleration, setting and acquiring variable values, malfunction simulation, snapping and loading initial conditions, etc. Virtual DCS realizes the configuration translation by translating the configuration files of the physical DCS platform to Simulink platform, generating codes by using the configuration, and compiling the codes into algorithm files. The virtual DCS is combined with process model software to form a closed-loop, which simulates the level control system of the steam generator of a megawatt pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant for verification. Effective results have been achieved, which proves that the translation virtual DCS can meet the simulation effect of the simulator. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
