Fault diagnosis is an integral part of a satellite characterized by high autonomy, which is one of the fundamental guarantees to ensure the normal operation of the satellite. Clustering, as an unsupervised data mining method, is widely used in fault diagnosis. Regarding fault detection and isolation with the high real-time requirements, K-means clustering becomes a typical representative of effective diagnosis tools thanks to its fast-running characteristic. However, the stiff partition idea of K-means clustering seriously affects its results, and it may even lead to misdiagnosis. Therefore, to meet the need for faster and more accurate fault diagnosis of satellite, we introduce a clustering method combined with K-means and rough set, which utilizes the imprecise description characteristic of rough set to cluster samples flexibly. Subsequently, the clustering results are fed into a multi-attribute decision making model to generate a fuzzy decision-making model for fault diagnosis. Finally, the experimental results of fault diagnosis based on a satellite power system prove the effectiveness and superiority of our method. © 2023 IEEE.

Inertial measurement unit (IMU) evaluation, which plays an important role in the selection, storage scheme design, maintenance plan formulation, etc. of IMU, often uses the multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) method and considers multidimensional information to produce a reliable result. To address the issues of bias and one-sidedness of a single weighting method, a combination weighting method based on a rough set and information entropy is raised in this paper. This proposed method, integrating the statistical characteristics of data, information features, and decision risk that are necessary factors for data-driven weight assignment, constructs a feasible set of weight assignment methods. Based on the information entropy, the importance of each method in the constructed set can be calculated. Subsequently, the comprehensive weights under the feasible set can be yielded with the help of the rough set theory-based redundancy elimination method. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed methods are verified by a practical engineering case, i.e., the accurate evaluation of IMU. © 2023 SPIE.

Separator is supposed to own outstanding thermal stability,superior wettability and electrolyte uptake,which is essential for developing high-rate and safe lithium metal batteries(LMBs).However,commercial polyolefin separators possess poor wettability and limited electrolyte *** addressing this issue,we put forward a composite separator to implement above functions by doping layered-silicate(talcum)into polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF).With significant improvement of electrolyte absorption benefiting from the strong adsorption energy values(-1.64-1.70 eV)between talcum and the electrolyte in lithium metal batteries,PVDF/Talcum(PVDF/TM)composite separator owns a small contact angle and superior electrolyte ***/TM composite separator with 10 wt%talcum(T-10)owns a tiny contact angle of 8°,while those of polypropylene(PP)and PVDF are 48°and 20°with commercial ***,the addition of thermotolerant talcum endows the T-10 composite separator with great thermostability,whose thermal shrinkage is only 5.39%at 150°C for 0.5 *** cell with LiFeO4cathode and the T-10 composite separator reaches 91.7 m Ah/g in discharge capacity at 4.8 m A/cm^(2)(10 C),far superior to that with pure PVDF separator(56.3 m Ah/g)and PP(51.4 m Ah/g).

Harmful macroalgal blooms caused by Ulva prolifera and Sargassum horneri are increasing in the Yellow Sea and East China ***,our understanding of macroalgal blooms before 2008 is fragmented and *** time-series Landsat imagery from 1984 to 2008,we examined macroalgal bloom events and their evolutionary *** results suggest that no macroalgal blooms were observed before *** blooms could be traced back to 1999 and occurred on a small scale in 2000,2004 and 2005,before escalating into large green tides in 2007 and ***,these Ulva blooms were confined to the southern Yellow Sea from May to *** comparison,Sargassum blooms were first detected in the East China Sea in March 2000 and occurred almost every year thereafter,although the size of the blooms showed significant interannual *** distribution areas generally moved northwards from March until the bloom dissipated in May or June,suggesting the influence of the monsoon and *** investigation provided some insight into the bloom history of these two harmful macroalgal blooms in the Yellow Sea and East China Sea.

By employing the asymmetric end-group engineering,an asymmetric nonfused-ring electron acceptor(NFREA)was designed and *** with the symmetric analogs(NoCA-17 and NoCA-18),NoCA-19 possesses broader light absorption range,more coplanarπ-conjugated backbone,and appropriate crystallinity according to the experimental and theoretical *** organic solar cells based on J52:NoCA-19 exhibited a power conversion efficiency as high as 12.26%,which is much higher than those of J52:NoCA-17(9.50%)and J52:NoCA-18(11.77%),mainly due to more efficient exciton dissociation,better and balanced charge mobility,suppressed recombination loss,shorter charge extraction time,longer charge carrier lifetimes,and more favorable blend film *** findings demonstrate the great potential of asymmetric end-group engineering in exploring low-cost and high-performance NFREAs.

The Fortran programming language is widely utilized in numerical computation and scientific computing. Fortran programs are prone to potential runtime errors related to numerical properties due to the large number of numerical operations. In this paper, we present F-IKOS, an abstract interpretation-based static analyzer for Fortran programs on top of IKOS, which soundly handles floating-point types in Fortran programs. Firstly, we translate Fortran programs to LLVM IR using compiler front-end Flang. After that, we extend IKOS to support sound floating-point analysis and then employ it to analyze the translated LLVM IR. Particularly, when analyzing floating-point types in programs, we first abstract floating-point expressions into real-number expressions with interval coefficients, and then linearize these expressions into real-number expressions with scalar coefficients. These linear expressions are subsequently handled by abstract domains originally designed for real-number types to produce sound analysis results. We have conducted experiments on representative Fortran programs to show the efficiency and effectiveness of F-IKOS. The experimental results are encouraging: F-IKOS soundly analyzes runtime errors in complex programs, outperforming other analyzers. © 2024 Copyright for this paper by its authors. High photogenerated carrier recombination rate and weak spectral response are the two main factors restricting photocatalytic activities of *** this work,a novel Ag/Bi_(24)O_(31)Cl_(10)heterojunction has been developed by the in-situ photoreduction technique to address the preceding ***-chemical properties of as-synthesized 0.7 wt%Ag/Bi_(24)O_(31)Cl_(10)photocatalysts were investigated in *** Ag clusters can be seen as surface plasmon polaritons to light absorption capacity and photothermal effect,which was demonstrated via Raman and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra(UV-Vis DRS).Den-sity functional theory(DFT)calculations show that the additional unoccupied crystal orbital by the silver(Ag)will accelerate the charge separation where some of the excited electrons to the conduction band of Bi_(24)O_(31)Cl_(10)will drift to these orbitals which in turn prevent charge ***,Ag metal cluster-decorated Bi_(24)O_(31)Cl_(10)photocatalysts can be identified as electron trappers to boost the spatial separation of the photogenerated carrier,and finally,the CH 4 generation rate and the rhodamine b(RhB)degraded efficiency of Ag/Bi_(24)O_(31)Cl_(10)photocatalysts are enhanced about 1.54 and 5.20 times,*** Ag/Bi_(24)O_(31)Cl_(10)composite photocatalyst retained high photocatalytic activities after four cycles indi-cating the stability and repeatability of the Ag/Bi_(24)O_(31)Cl_(10)*** work aims to provide new insight into modifying ideal semiconductor materials for high photocatalytic activity.

Black carbon absorption is a major contributor to global warming, with considerable uncertainty due to complex microscopic properties. Previous studies have mainly attributed the complex absorption enhancement (Eabs) to the non-uniform mixing states, while the effects of the non-uniform coating structure have usually been ignored. In this paper, a modeling framework was proposed to simultaneously investigate the effects of complex coating structures and mixing states. At the particle scale, the effects of non-uniform coating structure can generally be reflected by three levels, and we show that modeling the non-uniform coating structure is important to explain the small Eabs observed in laboratory measurements, which are difficult to explain with a Mie-based model and a model of uniform coating structure. On a population scale, the simultaneous consideration of heterogeneous mixing states and coating structures can significantly improve the model performance in reproducing the field measurements. Although both non-uniform mixing states and coating structures have an important impact on the global aerosol optical absorption depth (AAOD) and direct radiative forcing (DRF), they may attenuate each other’s effects. Therefore, previous studies may overestimate the effects of mixing states based on Mie theory by assuming a uniform coating structure. This work clearly demonstrates the importance of both non-uniform mixing conditions and coating structure on aerosol absorption and DRF. © 2025 Optica Publishing Group under the terms of the Optica Open Access Publishing Agreement.

Precipitation comes in various phases, including rainfall, snowfall, sleet, and hail. Shifts of precipitation phases, as well as changes in precipitation amount, intensity, and frequency, have significant impacts on regional climate, hydrology,ecology, and the energy balance of the land-atmosphere system. Over the past century, certain progress has been achieved in aspects such as the observation, discrimination, transformation, and impact of precipitation phases. Mainly including: since the1980s, studies on the observation, formation mechanism, and prediction of precipitation phases have gradually received greater attention and reached a certain scale. The estimation of different precipitation phases using new detection theories and methods has become a research focus. Avariety of discrimination methods or schemes, such as the potential thickness threshold method of the air layer, the temperature threshold method of the characteristic layer, and the near-surface air temperature threshold method,have emerged one after another. Meanwhile, comparative studies on the discrimination accuracy and applicability assessment of multiple methods or schemes have also been carried out simultaneously. In recent years, the shift of precipitation from solid to liquid(SPSL) in the mid-to-high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere has become more pronounced due to global warming and human activities. It leads to an increase in rain-on-snow(ROS) events and avalanche disasters, affecting the speed, intensity, and duration of spring snow-melting, accelerating sea ice and glacier melting, releasing carbon from permafrost, altering soil moisture, productivity, and phenological characteristics of ecosystems, and thereby affecting their structures, processes, qualities, and service functions. A K/Ka-Band Frequency Reconfigurable GaN LNA for Multi-Band Communication Applications

A frequency reconfigurable low noise amplifier (LNA) in a 0.15-μm gallium nitride (GaN) high-electron-mobility-transistor process is presented. The concept of frequency reconfiguration utilizing a switch-based reconfigurable resonator (SBRR) to adjust the resonant frequency and introduce a transmission zero in the lower out-of-band region is discussed. Additionally, a K/Ka-band frequency-reconfigurable LNA that incorporates the SBRR is designed and fabricated for validation. The proposed LNA features a small-signal gain of 13.9/8.9 dB and a noise figure of 2.4/3.2 dB at 21/30 GHz. The measured output power 1-dB compression point (OP1-dB) is 5.5/6.7 dBm at 21/30 GHz, respectively. The chip size is 1.5 × 1.75 mm2. The reconfigurable GaN LNA is attractive for future multi-band communication systems compatible for multiple standards.
