China is now confronting the intertwined challenges of air pollution and climate *** the high synergies between air pollution abatement and climate change mitigation,the Chinese government is actively promoting synergetic control of these two *** Synergetic Roadmap project was launched in 2021 to track and analyze the progress of synergetic control in China by developing and monitoring key *** Synergetic Roadmap 2022 report is the first annual update,featuring 20 indicators across five aspects:synergetic governance system and practices,progress in structural transition,air pollution and associated weather-climate interactions,sources,sinks,and mitigation pathway of atmospheric composition,and health impacts and benefits of coordinated *** to the comprehensive review presented in the 2021 report,the Synergetic Roadmap 2022 report places particular emphasis on progress in 2021 with highlights on actions in key sectors and the relevant *** milestones include the proportion of non-fossil power generation capacity surpassing coal-fired capacity for the first time,a decline in the production of crude steel and cement after years of growth,and the surging penetration of electric ***,in 2022,China issued the first national policy that synergizes abatements of pollution and carbon emissions,marking a new era for China's pollution-carbon *** changes highlight China's efforts to reshape its energy,economic,and transportation structures to meet the demand for synergetic control and sustainable ***,the country has witnessed a slowdown in carbon emission growth,improved air quality,and increased health benefits in recent years.

Experimental Researches on the Accuracy of Micro- Electromechanical Accelerometer-Array in Seafloor Failure Deformation Measurement

At present,there are few technologies applied to in situ observation of seabed deformation,among which the micro-electromechanical accelerometer-array(hereinafter referred to as accelerometers array)is a very advantageous measurement method,with both commercial products and successful application ***,the coupling effect between accelerometer-array and sur-rounding soil and the linkage effect of accelerometer-array itself during the deformation may influence the accuracy and reliability of the measurement data.A simulation test chamber was designed and processed,and four groups of simulation tests were carried out to explore the coupling effect and linkage effect of accelerometer-array in the soil with different degree of *** results show that the accelerometer-array and the soil coupled well,and the coupling effect is positively correlated with the degree of soil *** ratio of accumulative deviation to soil lateral deformation is high at the initial stage of deformation(0-50 mm)and reduced with the continuous increase of deformation(>100 mm).In the process of liquefied soil deformation,the linkage effect of accelerometer array can be ignored,and is negatively correlated with the degree of soil consolidation.A concept to improve the measurement accu-racy of accelerometer-array in different seafloor failure deformation modes is *** research results provide references for the modification of accelerometer-array and the improvement for other flexible rod-shaped deformation sensors.

Humic acids(HAs)are widely used as filtrate and viscosity reducers in drilling ***,their practical utility is limited due to poor stability in salt resistance and high-temperature *** coal pitch(CP)is a by-product from coal pyrolysis above 650℃.The substance's molecular structure is characterized by a dense arrangement of aromatic hydrocarbon and alkyl *** unique structure gives it unique chemical properties and excellent drilling performance,surpassing traditional humic acids in drilling *** humate is prepared from CP(CP-HA-K)by thermal catalysis.A new type of high-quality humic acid temperature-resistant viscosity-reducer(Graft CP-HA-K polymer)is synthesized with CP-HA-K,hydrolyzed polyacrylonitrile sodium salt(Na-HPAN),urea,formaldehyde,phenol and acrylamide(AAM)as raw *** experimental results demonstrate that the most favorable conditions for the catalytic preparation of CP-HA-K are 1 wt%catalyst dosage,30 wt%KOH dosage,a reaction temperature of 250℃,and a reaction time of 2 h,resulting in a maximum yield of CP-HA-K of 39.58%.The temperature resistance of the Graft CP-HA-K polymer is measured to be 177.39℃,which is 55.39℃ higher than that of commercial *** is due to the abundant presence of amide,hydroxyl,and amine functional groups in the Graft CP-HA-K polymer,which increase the length of the carbon chains,enhance the electrostatic repulsion on the surface of solid *** being aged to 120℃ for a specified duration,the Graft CP-HA-K polymer demonstrates significantly higher viscosity reduction(42.12%)compared to commercial HA-K(C-HA-K).Furthermore,the Graft CP-HA-K polymer can tolerate a high salt concentration of 8000 mg.L-1,measured after the addition of optimum amount of 3 wt%Graft CP-HA-K *** action mechanism of Graft CP-HA-K polymer on high-temperature drilling fluid is that the Graft CP-HA-K polymer can increase the repulsive force between solid particles and

Photothermal agents(PTAs)with ultra-high photothermal conversion efficiency(PCE)activated upon near-infrared(NIR)laser irradiation can heat up and destroy tumor cells under low-intensity laser excitation to allow safe and efficient tumor ***,an organic PTA with an outstanding PCE of 89.6%is developed from rationally designed perylene diimide(PDI)with electron-donating cyclohexylamine moiety at the bay-positions of its skeleton and chiral phenethylamine(PEA)moiety at its N terminals,termed here *** strong intermolecular interaction between the PDI skeletons induced by PEA together with the intramolecular charge transfer from cyclohexylamine to PDI skeleton severely quenches the fluorescence emission from PEAPDI and significantly enhances its NIR absorption,resulting in super NIR–photothermal *** molecules are subsequently encapsulated within silica nanocapsules(SNCs),creating PEAPDI@*** by its small hydrodynamic diameter,monodispersity,high PDI encapsulation efficiency,colloidal stability,and biocompatibility,PEAPDI@SNC exhibits prolonged blood circulation and enhanced permeability and retention effect,enabling targeted accumulation at the tumor *** in vivo study using a 4T1 tumor–bearing mice model illustrates the agent’s potent tumor ablation capability without side effects at low dosage under NIR laser irradiation(808 nm).The findings demonstrate PEAPDI@SNC’s significant potential as a PTA for tumor treatment.

The Taiyuan Basin is of importance for intraplate tectonic deformation in North China and contains Cenozoic strata with a maximum thickness of 3800 m.A~853.5-m-deep borehole(ZK01)with an overall core recovery rate of 85.09%was drilled at Yuci(37°35'37?N,112°39'47?E)in the central Taiyuan Basin,to obtain high-resolution records of paleomagnetism,paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental conditions,and depositional environment of the *** obtained magnetic polarity sequence consists of 13 normal and 12 reverse zones,which correspond to C1n-C4An.2n of the geomagnetic polarity time *** data show that the evolution of ZK01 core covers the interval from 8.1 Ma to the present,and the bottoms of Pliocene,Quaternary,and Middle Pleistocene were identified in Taiyuan Basin,with a sedimentary accumulation rate ranging from 62.5 m/Ma to 175.9 m/*** data reveal that the source rocks in the study area underwent intense weathering and the sediments mainly formed in a semi-arid and oxygen-rich *** addition,paleoclimatic changes occurred at~7 Ma,3.8 Ma,and 1.7 Ma,which can be closely related to the tectonic uplift of the Loess Plateau and Tibetan Plateau,as well as the variations in the Asian monsoon and associated regional and global climatic change.

The accurate prediction of propagation loss of radio waves in atmospheric duct environment is a hot issue in radar signal transmission and target detection research. Deep learning has achieved good results in many fields, and there are corresponding applications in the accurate prediction of propagation loss prediction. In this paper, we use the time-series convolutional network (TCN) model to predict the data of evaporative duct and surface duct over-The-horizon propagation loss time series and compare the prediction effect with the current state-of-The-Art time-series prediction network models LSTM and GRU. The RMSE is used as the evaluation index to calculate their accuracy, and the experiments prove that the TCN model has the best prediction effect than the most advanced LSTM and GRU models, both in the evaporative duct and surface duct environments. © 2022 IEEE.

Poroelastic materials are common in nature and have applications in many engineering fields. In this paper, we derive a general solution of indentation over a multilayered half-space consisting of transversely isotropic and poroelastic materials. The rigid disc-shaped indenter is subjected to a vertical force of Heaviside time-variation. The solution is expressed in terms of the recently introduced powerful Fourier-Bessel series (FBS) system of vector functions combined with the unconditionally stable dual-variable and position method for dealing with layering. Since the problem is a mixed boundary-value one, the Green's functions due to a vertical ring-load are first derived which are then utilized in the integral least-square formulation to derive the solution. In terms of the FBS method, the expansion coefficients, which are further called Love numbers, are discrete, and therefore can be pre-calculated and used repeatedly for different field points on the surface. As such, the solution based on the new FBS method is more efficient and accurate than previous integral-transform methods. This new FBS method is particularly attractive when dealing with mixed boundary-value problems where time-variation is further involved. Numerical examples are conducted to validate the accuracy of the proposed solution and to demonstrate the effects of material layering, geometry, and hydraulic boundary conditions on the contact performance of the material system. © 2023 Elsevier Inc.

Record rainfall and severe flooding struck eastern China in the summer of 2020. The extreme summer rainfall occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, which started in China in early 2020 and spread rapidly across the globe. By disrupting human activities, substantial reductions in anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases and aerosols might have affected regional precipitation in many ways. Here, we investigate such connections and show that the abrupt emissions reductions during the pandemic strengthened the summer atmospheric convection over eastern China, resulting in a positive sea level pressure anomaly over northwestern Pacific Ocean. The latter enhanced moisture convergence to eastern China and further intensified rainfall in that region. Modeling experiments show that the reduction in aerosols had a stronger impact on precipitation than the decrease of greenhouse gases did. We conclude that through abrupt emissions reductions, the COVID-19 pandemic contributed importantly to the 2020 extreme summer rainfall in eastern China.

Arsenic release from microbial reduction of scorodite in the presence of electron shuttle in flooded soil

Scorodite (FeAsO_(4)·H_(2)O) is a common arsenic-bearing (As-bearing) iron mineral in nearsurface environments that could immobilize or store As in a bound *** flooded soils,microbe induced Fe(Ⅲ) or As(Ⅴ) reduction can increase the mobility and bioavailability of ***,humic substances can act as electron shuttles to promote this *** dynamics of As release and diversity of putative As(Ⅴ)-reducing bacteria during scorodite reduction have yet to be investigated in detail in flooded ***,the microbial reductive dissolution of scorodite was conducted in an flooded soil in the presence of anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonate (AQDS).Anaeromyxobacter,Dechloromonas,Geothrix,Geobacter,Ideonella,and Zoogloea were found to be the dominant indigenous bacteria during Fe(Ⅲ) and As(Ⅴ) *** increased the relative abundance of dominant species,but did not change the diversity and microbial community of the systems with *** these bacteria,Geobacter exhibited the greatest increase and was the dominant Fe(Ⅲ)-and As(Ⅴ)-reducing bacteria during the incubation with AQDS and *** promoted both Fe(Ⅲ) and As(Ⅴ) reduction,and over 80%of released As(Ⅴ) was microbially transformed to As(Ⅲ).The increases in the abundance of arrA gene and putative arrA sequences of Geobacter were higher with AQDS than without *** a result,the addition of AQDS promoted microbial Fe(Ⅲ) and As(Ⅴ) release and reduction from As-bearing iron minerals into the *** results contribute to exploration of the transformation of As from As-bearing iron minerals under anaerobic conditions,thus providing insights into the bioremediation of As-contaminated soil.

The parabolic equation (PE) method is applied to investigate the amplitude and phase characteristics of low-frequency (LF) groundwave propagation over sea covered by ice. The 'ice-sea' stratified medium is characterized by the effective surface impedance of a two-layer half-space model in the PE. Calculations performed for four ice thicknesses (0, 1, 2, 3 m) show that the ice surface of sea significantly affects the propagation of LF groundwave, especially for phase. Also, as the ice thickness increases from 0 to 3 m, the secondary time delay of LF groundwave increases up to 189 ns at a range of 200 km due to the more inductive effective surface impedance for the thicker ice. This indicates that to achieve higher maritime position, navigation, and timing (PNT) accuracy of LF radio navigation systems, the time delay caused by the ice surface of sea should be properly mitigated. © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).
