The Tibetan Plateau(TP)has been the focus of numerous studies examining the energy and water cycle variations,but there is still a lack of long-term,quantitative precise assessments of *** research first provided two sets of long-term comprehensive observa-tional datasets,and an advanced monitoring technique to measure soil moisture,which can improve the estimation accuracy of ***,using microwave data,the Surface Energy Balance System model and Machine Learning methods,it calculated a complete set of long-term evapotranspiration *** the same time,based on reasonable assumptions,it also estimated the total evaporation from plateau *** findings con-tribute significantly to the understanding of the relationship between the Asian monsoon,the TP's physical characteristics,and its atmosphere,thereby improving predictions of water resource variability in the *** study's innovative methodologies and synthesis of diverse data sources provide critical information for informed and sustainable water management strategies in the region.

Hot carrier stress (HCS) under reverse Emitter-Base junction current (Ireb) is a major degradation mechanism in NPN bipolar transistors. With the continuous miniaturization of devices, the internal electric fields of these devices increase, leading to a heightened possibility of HCS. This makes understanding and mitigating the HCS effect crucial for the development of reliable, high-performance electronic devices. We employed the constant current stress (CCS) method on NPN bipolar transistors subjected to Ireb stress to study HCS. Ireb and temperature dependence are investigated using an empirical HCS model. The results are beneficial in industries where long device lifespan and reliability are critical, such as in space applications, medical devices, or critical infrastructure systems.

Although most fishes are ectothermic,some,including tuna and billfish,achieve endothermy through specialized heat producing tissues that are modified *** these heat producing tissues evolved,and whether they share convergent molecular mechanisms,remain ***,we generated a high-quality genome from the mackerel tuna(Euthynnus affinis)and investigated the heat producing tissues of this fish by single-nucleus and bulk RNA *** with other teleosts,tuna-specific genetic variation is strongly associated with muscle ***-nucleus RNA-seq revealed a high proportion of specific slow skeletal muscle cell subtypes in the heat producing tissues of *** genes of this cell subtype are associated with the relative sliding of actin and myosin,suggesting that tuna endothermy is mainly based on shivering *** contrast,cross-species transcriptome analysis indicated that endothermy in billfish relies mainly on nonshivering ***,the heat producing tissues of the different species do share some tissue-specific genes,including vascular-related and mitochondrial ***,although tunas and billfishes differ in their thermogenic strategies,they share similar expression patterns in some respects,highlighting the complexity of convergent evolution.

The long-term “Grain-to-Green Program” (GGP) on China’s Loess Plateau is a major global ecological engineering project which has significantly boosted vegetation renewal. Some studies have found that the rate of restoration is quite rapid during the implementation of ecological engineering, however, the influence of multi-scale climatic conditions on the performance of ecological engineering is unclear. In this study, multiple sources of remote sensing data were used to estimate the dynamics of vegetation structural and functional indicators, water-related local climatic factors, and atmospheric circulation factors. These datasets were also used to detect possible causes for vegetation restoration on the Loess Plateau over the past 20 years. The results show that widespread increases in rates of normalized difference vegetation indexes (NDVI), leaf area indexes (LAI), gross primary production (GPP), and aboveground biomass carbon (ABC) during 2000–2016 were significantly higher than before 2000. GPP was significantly correlated with rainfall and surface runoff on a monthly scale, and there were significant positive correlations between GPP and atmospheric circulation. Our results demonstrate that both vegetation structural and functional indicators rapidly increase, and ecological engineering greatly accelerated vegetation restoration after 2000. Local climatic conditions and atmospheric circulation patterns enhance vegetation growth and impact of ecological engineering.

Remote-controlled engine ignition of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) is the key node for its successful flight *** effective fault diagnosis and prevention of remote-controlled engine is the guarantee of its safe and reliable *** paper proposes a fault diagnosis method based on the fusion of fault tree(FT) and Bayesian network(BN).Further,a grey analysis model is employed to mine the in-depth information of the FT model,so as to find the key factors affecting the ignition failure of the remote-controlled engine,and provide support for maintenance and product ***,the correctness and validity of the proposed model are verified by using a the typical fault mode of the remote-controlled engine.

To determine whether the capability of the CMIP6 version of Beijing Climate Center(BCC)models(BCC-ESMI and BCC-CSM2-MR)in simulating China summer surface air temperature(SAT)has improved,we presented a multidimensional evaluation of the summer SAT in China including the trends,modes,and influencing *** comparisons are also made with the results of CMIP5(BCC-CSM1.1 and ***).In general,the CMIP6,especially BCC-CSM2-MR,has smaller deviations in the trends,the means,the mutations,the maximum centers,the variances,and the spatial patterns of the dominant modes from observatio relative to those of ***,the BCC CMIP6 models still underestimate the SAT variation in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and the northeastern regions of China,and the performance is unsatisfactory with respect to the physical drivers of the dominant ***,all the BCC models can capture the spatio-temporal characteristics of the first mode well and can,in general,characterize the spatial pattern of the second mode,but none of the models perform well in the principal component of the second mode(PC2)due to the low performance with respect to the interannual variation of ***,the factors influencing the leading two modes are *** two CMIP6 can simulate better the Northern Hemisphere subtropical high northern boundary affecting the first *** factor,the Asia polar vortex area,can only be simulated better by two low-resolution models(BCC-CSM1.1 and BCC-ESM I).For the second mode,all four models simulate the influence of Asian zonal circulation well,but poorly simulate that of the southern Indian Ocean dipole due to a large deviation in the Indian Ocean surface temperature.

Influence of Variable Intensity Ultraviolet on the Performance of Sbs Modified Asphalt

Previous scholars studied the UV aged asphalt performance under the constant UV intensity. This study proposed a method of UV aged asphalt based on the time-varying UV intensity, which is more capable of realistically simulating the UV aging of asphalt under natural conditions. The softening point, viscosity, and DSR tests were used to analyze changes in conventional and rheological properties of UV aged asphalt, and compared them with RTFO (Rolling Thin-Film Oven) aged asphalt. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and scanning electron microscope (SEM) tests were analyzed the microscopic characteristic. The aging index was also used to evaluate the percentage of asphalt aging attributable to each UV aging cycle. The results showed that the softening point was more susceptible to the UV radiation, but on the contrary the viscosity was susceptible to influence by thermo-oxidative aging. In comparison to RTFO aged asphalt, the phase angle results indicated that thermo-oxidative aging was more likely to transform the asphalt to the elastomer. UV aging process of asphalt produced sulfinyl and carbonyl and other polar functional groups, asphalt intermolecular forced to enhance the production of a harder oxidized layer, the surface of the asphalt began to appear cracks. As the aging time increased, the cracks become longer and deeper, and the practical image recognition technique identifies the area of the cracks. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Labile organic carbon(LOC)plays a pivotal role in soil biogeochemistry and ecological ***’s coastal wetlands have been profoundly impacted due to plant invasion and land use change,but the effects on soil LOC quantity and composition are *** study analyzed the soil LOC components—namely,dissolved organic carbon(DOC),easily oxidizable carbon(EOC),and microbial biomass carbon(MBC)—across twenty-one coastal wetlands in southeastern *** wetlands underwent a uniform land cover transition from native mudflats(MFs)to Spartina alterniflora marshes(SAs),and eventually to aquaculture ponds(APs).The results indicated that EOC was the dominant component of soil organic carbon(SOC)(57.5%–61.6%),followed by MBC(3.5%–4.5%)and DOC(<0.5%).The transition from MFs to SAs led to a rise in mean EOC and DOC by 18.6%and 41.4%,*** conversion of SAs to APs resulted in a reduction in mean EOC and DOC by 5.9%and 20.3%,*** did not differ significantly among habitat *** nitrogen availability was the main driver of changes in LOC across both land cover change *** mineralization rate of SOC were more strongly correlated with DOC than EOC and *** turnover of EOC was temperature dependent across the geographical *** finds highlighted that plant invasion and land use change affected LOC fractions and subsequent SOC stability and carbon emissions in coastal wetlands.
