Target tracking with bearing-only measurement plays an important role for autonomous guidance and control ***,in some no-bearing measurement cases,the target motion should be predicted based on the available history *** this end,this paper compares two typical nonlinear Kalman filter techniques with the bearing measurement to firstly estimate the target state and ***,several Sigma points are chosen around the state by combining the unscented transform with the ***,for a long prediction time,the Sigma points are fed into the kinematic model to recursively obtain the target ***,the statistical properties are concluded from the Sigma points predictions,including the state mean and *** is shown that the covariance can provide an uncertainty region analysis for the target ***,the numerical simulation is given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed motion prediction approach.

Signal representation is to transform the intercepted original signal into feature parameters, which is the basis for the electronic reconnaissance system to analyse and identify a radar. The traditional method is to manually design a limited number of features with prior knowledge, which can only achieve the desired results in specific applications. Therefore, it is necessary to study signal representation methods that are more adaptable, reasonable, and effective. This study proposes a feature-level design scheme that extracts multi-level signal feature parameters to obtain deep essential feature representations, which is consistent with deep-learning frameworks. Through the decomposition through wavelet packet transform (WPT), the best sub-band tree structure of the signal can be obtained, and the depth representation of the signal can be well achieved, which can meet requirements of time-frequency analysis automatically. Here, Symlets wavelet packet decomposition (WPD) is used as an example to implement multi-layer signal feature representation. The combination of characteristic parameters at different levels can reflect the different information contained in different radar signals. The simulation results show that the method can effectively identify the modulation mode of radar signals and enhance the information mining ability from radar signals. © 2019 Institution of Engineering and technology. To improve the preprocessing speed of star map and reduce the resource consumption of embedded system of star tracker, a parallel pipeline real-time preprocessing algorithm is presented. The two characteristics, the mean and the noise standard deviation of the background gray of a star map, are firstly obtained dynamically by the means that the intervene of the star image itself to the background is removed in advance. The criterion on whether or not the following noise filtering is needed is established, then the extraction threshold value is assigned according to the level of background noise, so that the centroiding accuracy is guaranteed. In the processing algorithm, as low as two lines of pixel data are buffered, and only 100 shift registers are used to record the connected domain label, by which the problems of resources wasting and connected domain overflow are solved. The simulating results show that the necessary data of the selected bright stars could be immediately accessed in a delay time as short as 10us after the pipeline processing of a 496×496 star map in 50Mb/s is finished, and the needed memory and registers resource total less than 80kb. To verify the accuracy performance of the algorithm proposed, different levels of background noise are added to the processed ideal star map, and the statistic centroiding error is smaller than 1/23 pixel under the condition that the signal to noise ratio is greater than 1. The parallel pipeline algorithm of real time star map preprocessing helps to increase the data output speed and the anti-dynamic performance of star tracker. © 2017 SPIE.

An L band geosynchronous synthetic aperture radar (GEO SAR) will be sensitive to ionosphere scintillation because of its low carrier frequency. Meanwhile, because of the high orbit, GEO SAR has a higher probability to meet ionospheric scintillation. In this paper, we propose an orbit strategy for eliminating the impacts of ionospheric scintillation. It is realized by selecting a proper orbit element (time past perigee) to avoid imaging for the sensitive region of ionospheric scintillation during the eruption time interval of ionospheric scintillation with the highest probability. Finally, the simulation based on systems tool kit (STK) software was conducted to verify the effectiveness of the method. © 2017 Institution of Engineering and technology. All rights reserved.

X-ray is an important tool for characterizing materials, which is based on the idea that all crystals are composed of atoms or molecules stacking in a particular type, basically expressing as unit cell, diffracting the incident ray with a proper type. In analogue, the periodic structures which are mostly constructed artificially show special desired properties, such as the properties of grating, frequency selective surfaces, metamaterials and metasurface. In this paper, A study was done on the insight of the relation of wave interaction with periodic structures based on X-ray diffraction and control of electromagnetic waves. © 2022 IEEE.

The Multi-Hypothesis Tracking(MHT) method is one of the most promising approaches to realize automatic tracking of small and dim targets in complex space ***,the number of hypotheses generated by this algorithm has an exponentially increasing relationship with the number of trajectories,measurement data,and the number of image *** the paper,the automatic detection and tracking method of judging the confidence coefficient of the trajectory obtained by the MHT which is based on the characteristics of dim targets,has been realized in the IRST *** performance of this method is greatly improved.

Station layout has a direct impact on localization precision for four-station TDOA(time difference of arrival) location system. In order to optimize the overall location precision of targets in certain area, genetic algorithm for station layout optimization is presented. GDOP is regarded as the measurement rule of location precision. Then the multi-object programming mathematical model of station layout optimization is built. The optimal solution is searched by genetic algorithm. Consequently, the optimal layout of station is obtained. The simulation provides the GDOP distribution of two station layouts. One is the initial station layout, and the other is the optimal station layout. The simulation results show that for the optimal station layout, the effect of improving the location precision is obvious, and also indicate the validity of genetic algorithm.

We propose a stability-based adaptive-period DSDV intra-cluster routing protocol that automatically adjusts the routing update period by the link stability among the nodes in the cluster structure, thus reducing the network overhead of the network structure in maintaining the routing table. We describe the link stability and adaptive period implementation and test the proposed routing protocol in the cluster structure based on network simulation. The implementation results show that the proposed routing protocol has better performance than the traditional DSDV routing protocol, can improve the network throughput and reduce the routing overhead in the network, and has good adaptability in the cluster with fast changing network topology. © 2022 IEEE.

On-Off thrusters have limitation both at minimum on-time and minimum off-time, so the output is nonlinear pulses. Use on-off thrusters to provide linear or near linear control force is a fundamental and important research topic. Existing previous works do not overcome the limitation of on-time and off-time constraints, so the output is only an approximation of demanded force output. In this paper, Pulse Phase modulation (PP) is proposed to generate linear output through on-off thruster pair. PP modulation exploited the dynamic output curve of thrusters. By adjusting phase difference of thruster pair that installed in the opposite direction, thrust output can be linear proportional to demanded force output. PP modulation breaks the limitation caused by minimum on-time and off-time, and thus achieves high continuity of thrust output. For practical engineering implementation, two approximate methods are proposed as double frequency phase modulation and quadruple frequency phase modulation. Theoretical analysis and experimental results are provided to prove that PP modulation can yield much better precision in stabilizing space vehicles.

An efficient radar signal processing parallel algorithm for Open Computing Language (OpenCL) is presented in this paper, which reveals a rational allocation schema of tasks between the central processing unit (CPU) and the graphics processing unit (GPU). The powerful parallel processing ability of GPU is used to replace the traditional serial processing method by the way of pipeline acceleration and algorithm parallel acceleration, and the real-time performance of the proposed algorithm is improved by the design idea of intra-module parallelism and inter-module flow processing. The algorithm is applied to CPU-GPU heterogeneous computing platform and has a good portability. The effectiveness and real-time performance of the algorithm are verified through simulation data. © 2022 IEEE.
