Large-angle attitude maneuver is common during the mission of spacecrafts, such as aligning to star to calibrate navigation system. Published works on attitude tracking always focus on optimizing the time and fuel cost, neglecting the smoothness requirement and angular speed limitations. In this paper, a nonlinear control algorithm is prompted for smooth transition in large-angle attitude maneuver. A nonlinear filter is added to the attitude feedback control loop, to carry out angular speed control in large-angle maneuvers. Simulation results demonstrated the effectiveness and reliability of proposed approach. © 2011 IEEE.

The paper bring forward a design of multilayer structure which has a high reflectivity for 1.82μm laser beam and a high absorptivity for 1.48μm laser beam. The experiment reveal that the absorptivity of the film reach to 95% at incidence angle from 0 to 40 for 1.48μm laser beam and has a high reflectivity for 1.82μm high power laser at incidence angle of 30o at laser power density above 500w/cm2. © 2011 IEEE.

Polyester material is widely used in aerospace field, and its high pressure mechanical properties become the study hot spot in recent years. Aimed at a new type polyester material, its impact compression behaviors were investigated by means of light gas gun (LGG). The shock wave velocity (D) and the particle velocity (u) behind the shock wave were measured and calculated by using asymmetry impact and direct measurement. Based on the experimental results and calculated results, the D-u type Hugoniot curve and P-η type Hugoniot curve were obtained. The Murnagham equation of state for polyester material and its coefficients were obtained on the basis of its Hugoniot curve. Then, based on the experimental data, two kinds of equations of state were compared and discussed.

Two kinds of magnetic gauges, including electromagnetic particle velocity (EMV) gauge and a combined gauge composed of EMV gauge and electromagnetic (EM) stress gauge, are introduced to investigate the dynamic damage of brittle materials subjected to shock loading. The former is now used for the measurements of non-magnetic materials under pressure-shear impact loading. The latter one can be used in normal plate impact, and the experimental results with this gauge could be self-proofed. The preliminarily experimental results show that these techniques are satisfactory. © 2011 IEEE.

Relationship Between East Asian Winter Monsoon and Summer Monsoon

Using national Centers for Environmental Prediction/national Centre for Atmospheric Research（NCEP/NCAR） reanalysis data and monthly Hadley Center sea surface temperature（SST） data,and selecting a representative East Asian winter monsoon（EAWM） index,this study investigated the relationship between EAWM and East Asian summer monsoon（EASM） using statistical analyses and numerical *** possible mechanisms regarding this relationship were also *** indicate a close relationship between EAWM and EASM：a strong EAWM led to a strong EASM in the following summer,and a weak EAWM led to a weak EASM in the following *** EAWM has persistent impacts on the variation of SST in the tropical Indian Ocean and the South China Sea,and on the equatorial atmospheric thermal anomalies at both lower and upper *** these impacts,the EAWM influences the land-sea thermal contrast in summer and the low-level atmospheric divergence and convergence over the Indo-Pacific *** further affects the meridional monsoon circulation and other features of the *** simulations support the results of diagnostic *** study provides useful information for predicting the EASM by analyzing the variations of preceding EAWM and tropical SST.

Impacts of the MJO on Winter Rainfall and Circulation in China

Impacts of the MJO on winter rainfall and circulation in China are investigated using a real-time multivariate MJO *** results using the daily rainfall anomalies and "rainy day" anomalies according to eight different MJO phases show that the MJO has considerable influence on winter rainfall in China. Rainfall anomalies show systematic and substantial changes(enhanced/suppressed) in the Yangtze River Basin and South China with the eastward propagation of the MJO convective center from the Indian Ocean to the western *** the MJO is in phase 2 and 3(MJO convective center is located over the Indian Ocean),rainfall probability is significantly *** in phase 6 and 7(MJO convective center is over the western Pacific),rainfall probability is significantly reduced. MJO in winter influences the rainfall in China mainly through modulating the circulation in the subtropics and mid-high *** the subtropics,MJO influences the northward moisture transport coming from the Bay of Bengal and the South China Sea by modulating the southern trough of the Bay of Bengal and the western Pacific subtropical *** the mid-high latitudes,the propagation of the low frequency perturbations associated with the eastward-propagating MJO convection modulate the circulation in the mid-high latitudes,*** East Asian winter monsoon and the low trough over central Asia.

The sublimation energy of metal versus temperature and pressure and its influence on blow-off impulse

Based on the thermodynamic theory, the dependence of sublimation energy of metal on temperature and pressure is discussed, and the results indicate that the sublimation energy decreases linearly with the increase of temperature and pressure. Combined with this result, the blow-off impulse of aluminum induced by pulsed X-ray is simulated by smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method. The numerical results show that, while the change of sublimation energy with temperature and pressure is considered, the blow-off impulse of aluminum is larger than the case that the sublimation energy is assumed to be a constant.

In the ground-based FSR, the strong ground reflected signal seriously cancel the useful signal, as a result the estimation methods of the target images in current SISAR imaging technology are no longer applicable. The height difference of the target can't be estimated from the amplitude of complex profile function (CPF). In this paper, firstly, the multipath interference on the forward scatter (FS) signal model and imaging results of the moving target are analyzed by the two ray path model. Then, the estimation methods of the target profile image under multipath interference condition are presented. As a result, the accurate target images that cannot be achieved by using the current imaging algorithm can be extracted using the modified imaging algorithm. Finally, the effectiveness of the estimation methods is validated by the simulations.

Interdecadal Change of the Relationship Between the Tropical Indian Ocean Dipole Mode and the Summer Climate Anomaly in China

The interdecadal change of the relationship between the tropical Indian Ocean dipole（IOD） mode and the summer climate anomaly in China is investigated by using monthly precipitation and temperature records at 210 stations in China and the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data for *** results indicate that along with the interdecadal shift in the large-scale general circulation around the late 1970s,the relationship between the IOD mode and the summer climate anomaly in some regions of China has significantly *** the late 1970s,a developing IOD event is associated with an enhanced East Asian summer monsoon,which tends to decrease summer precipitation and increase summer temperature in South China;while after the late 1970s,it is associated with a weakened East Asian summer monsoon,which tends to increase（decrease） precipitation and decrease（increase） temperature in the south（north） of the Yangtze *** the next summer,following a positive IOD event,precipitation is increased in most of China before the late 1970s,while it is decreased（increased） south（north） of the Yangtze River after the late *** is no significant correlation between the IOD and surface air temperature anomaly in most of China in the next summer before the late 1970s;however,the IOD tends to increase the next summer temperature south of the Yellow River after the late 1970s.
