Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a common musculoskeletal illness. To solve the problem that inaccurate knee joint localization and inadequate knee OA features extracted from plain radiographs affect the accuracy of knee OA diagnosis in X-rays, we propose a novel Two-Stage Convolutional Neural Network (TS-CNN) method, consisting of the KneeDetnet and the KLnet. The KneeDetnet with two small multi-task convolutional neural networks is proposed to locate knee joints, improving the accuracy of knee joint localization. Then KLnet is designed to assess knee OA, where a shared Siamese network via ResNet is used to extract more discriminative deep learning features that are fused with gender information for obtaining richer features. Our method is evaluated on public OAI and MOST datasets. The highest detection accuracy of knee joints can reach 99.93% and 99.02% on two datasets, respectively. The KLnet algorithm achieves 78.85% and 68.20% prediction accuracy on the OAI and MOST datasets, respectively. Experimental results show that our method outperforms the existing workhorse. A lot of efforts have been devoted to solving the problem about complex relationship and localized cooperation among a large number of agents in large-scale multi-agent systems. However, global cooperation among all agents is also important while interactions between agents often happen locally. It is a challenging problem to enable agent to learn global and localized cooperate information simultaneously in multi-agent systems. In this paper, we model the global and localized cooperation among agents by global and localized agent graphs and propose a novel graph convolutional reinforcement learning mechanism based on these two graphs which allows each agent to communicate with neighbors and all a-gents to cooperate at the high level. Experiments on the large-scale multi-agent scenarios in StarCraft II show that our pro-posed method gets better performance compared with state-of-the-art algorithms and allows agents learning to cooperate efficiently.

Facts in military field tend to involve elements of time, space, quantity, status, and so on. Existing methods of representing knowledge in the form of triples fail to adequately express these facts, and also cause obstacles to knowledge storage and updating. Furthermore, question answering on these facts introduces new complexity dimension, which are complicated to be supported by existing corpus. Thus, we construct a Chinese knowledge base for military field covering entities and events centric knowledge, referred as MilKB. It consists of 965 entities and 3,017 facts. Moreover, we classify the natural questions into 26 types and construct a complex question answering dataset derived from MilKB, referred as MilKBQA. It consists of 2,829 question-answer pairs, in which 600 are event-centric ones. Experiments with three recent strong baseline models demonstrate that MilKBQA requires further research. © 2021 IEEE.

Network traffic classification is crucial for network security and network management and is one of the most important network tasks. Current state-of-the-art traffic classifiers are based on deep learning models to automatically extract features from packet streams. Unfortunately, current approaches fail to effectively combine the structural information of traffic packets with the content features of the packets, resulting in limited classification accuracy. In this paper, we propose a graph neural network model for network traffic classification, which can well perceive the interaction feature of packets in traffic. Firstly, we design a graph structure for packets’ flows to hold the interaction information between packets, which embeds both packet contents and sequence relationships into a unified graph. Secondly, we propose a graph neural network framework for graph classification to automatically learn the structural features of the packets’ flows together with the packets’ features. Extensive evaluation results on real-world traffic data show that the proposed model improves the prediction accuracy of improves the prediction accuracy by 2% to 37% for malicious traffic classification.

Maximum likelihood estimation has been widely adopted along with the encoder-decoder framework for video captioning. However, it ignores the structure of sentences and restrains the diversity and distinction of generated captions. To address this issue, we propose a hard contrastive learning (HCL) method for video captioning. Specifically, built on the encoder-decoder framework, we introduce mismatched pairs to learn a reference distribution of video descriptions. The target model on the matched pairs is learned on top the reference model, which improves the distinctiveness of generated captions. In addition, we further boost the distinctiveness of the captions by developing a hard mining technique to select the hardest mismatched pairs within the contrastive learning framework. Finally, the relationships among multiple relevant captions for each video is consider to encourage the diversity of generated captions. The proposed method generates high quality captions which effectively capture the specialties in individual videos. Extensive experiments on two benchmark datasets, i.e., MSVD and MSR-VTT, show that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art methods.

Basic recursive summation and common dot product algorithm have a backward error bound that grows linearly with the vector dimension. Blanchard [1] proposed a class of fast and accurate summation and dot product algorithms respectively called FABsum and FABdot, which trades off the calculation accuracy and speed by the block size. Castaldo [2] proposed a multi-layer block summation and dot product algorithm called SuperBlocksum and SuperBlockdot that can increase the accuracy while adding almost no additional calculations. We combine the idea of [1] with the multi-layer block structure to propose SuperFABsum (for "super fast and accurate block summation") and SuperFABdot (for "super fast and accurate block dot product"). Our algorithms have two variants, one is SuperFAB(within), the other is SuperFAB(outside). Our algorithms further improve accuracy and speed compared with FAB and SuperBlock. We conducted accuracy and speed tests on the high-performance FT2000+ processor. Experimental results show that SuperFABdot(within) algorithm is more accurate than FABdot and SuperBlockdot. Compared with FABdot, SuperFABdot(outside) algorithm can achieve up to 1.2 × performance speedup while ensuring similar accuracy. © 2022, IFIP International Federation for Information processing.

With the rapid development of Internet technology, various network attack methods come out one after the other. SQL injection has become one of the most severe threats to Web applications and seriously threatens various Web application services and users data security. There are both traditional detection methods and emerging methods based on deep learning technology with higher detection accuracy for the detection of SQL injection. However, they are all for detecting a single statement and cannot determine the stage of the attack. To further improve the effect of SQL injection detection, this paper proposes an integrated detection framework for SQL injection behavior based on both text features and traffic features. We propose a SQL-LSTM model based on deep learning technology as the detection model at the text features level. Meanwhile, the features of the data traffic are merged. Unlike Emotion Cause Extraction (ECE) task which consists of pre-annotate emotions and passage, emotion-cause pair extraction (ECPE) aims at extracting potential emotions and corresponding causes in the document without the need for pre-annotations. Traditional ECPE solutions divide the extracting emotions and causes operation into two separate parts. However, separating the bidirectional dependence between emotion and cause may lose a lot of potentially useful information. In this paper, we propose a novel interactive recurrent attention network (IRAN). Our approach focuses on the bidirectional impact between emotions and causes, and extracts emotions and causes simultaneously. The information in the document can be fully exploited through multiple modeling and information extraction. Our emotion-specific transformation and distance fusion correlation can adaptively focus on the emotions and the distance, gracefully incorporate them into a distinguishable neural network attention framework. The experimental results show that our proposed model achieves better performance than other widely-used models on the ECPE corpus. © 2020 ACM.

Optimizing Irregular-Shaped Matrix-Matrix Multiplication on Multi-Core DSPs

General Matrix Multiplication (GEMM) has a wide range of applications in scientific simulation and artificial intelligence. Although traditional libraries can achieve high performance on large regular-shaped GEMMs, they often behave not well on irregular-shaped GEMMs, which are often found in new algorithms and applications of high-performance computing (HPC). Due to energy efficiency constraints, low-power multi-core digital signal processors (DSPs) have become an alternative architecture in HPC systems. Targeting multi-core DSPs in FTm7032, a prototype CPU-DSPs heterogeneous processor for HPC, an efficient implementation - ftIMM - for three types of irregular-shaped GEMMs is proposed. FtIMM supports automatic generation of assembly micro-kernels, two parallelization strategies, and auto-tuning of block sizes and parallelization strategies. The experiments show that ftIMM can get better performance than the traditional GEMM implementations on multi-core DSPs in FT-m7032, yielding on up to 7.2× performance improvement, when performing on irregular-shaped GEMMs. And ftIMM on multi-core DSPs can also far outperform the open source library on multi-core CPUs in FT-m7032, delivering up to 3.1× higher efficiency. Fully capturing contextual information and analyzing the association between entity semantics and type is helpful for joint extraction task: 1) The context can reflect the part of speech and semantics of entity. 2) The entity type is closely related to the relation between entities. Previous research used to simply embed the contextual information into shallow layer of the model, ignoring the association between entity semantics and type. In this paper, we propose a graph network with full-information modeling to explicitly model different-level information in the text. The contextual information of entity is dynamically embedded in each span representation to improve the reasoning ability. To capture the fine-grained association between the semantics and type of entity, the graph network uses the feature of entity types to generate edge information between different nodes. Experimental results show that our model outperforms previous models on the CoNLL04 dataset and obtains competitive results on the SciERC dataset in both entity recognition and relation extraction. Extensive additional experiments further verify the effectiveness of the model. © 2021 ACM.
