For a neural emulator (NE) finding an optimal value adaptive learning rate poses a major challenge. Presented is an adaptive emulator that draws inspiration from the Real Time recurrent Learning algorithm (RTRL). In this context, a new NE scheme using the Jaya algorithm, has been developed. The main objective of this method is to adjust the neural emulator adaptive rate to increase enhance accuracy and convergence speed. The acquired results are confirmed against those obtained with an advanced intelligent tuning strategy. Emulator adaptation carried out on a chemical reactor proves the efficacy of the suggested approach.

This study aimed to investigate the mechanism of iron on intestinal epithelium development of suckling piglets. Compared with newborn piglets, 7-day-old and 21-day-old piglets showed changes in the morphology of the jejunum, increased proliferation,differentiated epithelial cells, and expanded enteroids. Intestinal epithelium maturation markers and iron metabolism genes were significantly changed. These results suggest that lactation is a critical stage in intestinal epithelial development, accompanied by changes in iron metabolism. In addition, deferoxamine(DFO) treatment inhibited the activity of intestinal organoids at passage 4(P4) of 0-day-old piglets, but no significant difference was observed in epithelial maturation markers at passage 1(P1) and P4,and only argininosuccinate synthetase 1(Ass1) and β-galactosidase(Gleb) were up-regulated at passage 7(P7). These results in vitro show that iron deficiency may not directly affect intestinal epithelium development through intestinal stem cells(ISCs). The iron supplementation significantly down-regulated the m RNA expression of interleukin-22 receptor subunit alpha-2(IL-22RA2)in the jejunum of piglets. Furthermore, the m RNA expression of IL-22 in 7-day-old piglets was significantly higher than that in0-day-old piglets. Adult epithelial markers were significantly up-regulated in organoids treated with recombinant murine cytokine IL-22. Thus, IL-22 may play a key role in iron-affecting intestinal epithelium development.

control and optimization of power systems typically involves schemes that utilize optimal power flow techniques and comprehensive modeling of various electrical components. However, the extensive integration of renewable energy sources and distributed energy resources makes it difficult to obtain accurate models, making the traditional model-based approaches more challenging. In this paper, we propose a Covariance Matrix Adaptation Q-value network mixing method (CMAQMIX), which is a novel model-free multi-agent reinforcement learning method that combines the advantages of Covariance Matrix Adaptation Evolution Strategy and the Q-value network mixing method to solve the problem of continuous action space. We establish a new multi-agent voltage regulation environment based on CityLearn framework to test the CMAQMIX method. The results show that our proposed method outperforms the Independent Proximal Policy Optimization method and can give immediate action response without the complete domain knowledge of the power system. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

In the past a few years, underwater acoustic networks have developed as a powerful technique used for variety of applications. Ad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) is a popular and effective routing protocol, while it is not suitable for underwater usage due to the features of underwater acoustic channel such as low data rate, long delay, limited bandwidth and energy. In this paper, we propose an improved AODV based on implicit acknowledgement which employs broadcast features of nodes to overhear packets and retransmit those that fail to be transmitted. In addition, residual energy is considerded for energy balancing. Finally, the in-field experiment results shows that our proposed protocol can select the route with more residual energy for energy balancing. And our proposed protocol also outperforms AODV in terms of throughput and packet discovery ratio. So it is more suitable for underwater scenarios that require high transmission reliability. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

For measuring the solution concentration of crystallization process by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, this paper proposes an improved spectral model calibration method to guarantee in-situ measurement accuracy, based on wavelet function regression. The spectral model structure is composed of wavelet basis functions, which could address the nonlinear properties and high-dimensional problem of infrared spectral variables. Moreover, the mean centralization strategy is taken to reduce the influence from measurement noise. In addition, a comparative study on measuring the solution concentration of the L-glutamic acid (LGA) crystallization process is conducted in terms of using different modeling methods and spectral variables. It is found that the wavelet function regression with all spectral variables could obtain good measurement accuracy compared to the traditional partial least-squares (PLS) method. Experimental results well demonstrate the measurement accuracy of the proposed spectral calibration method. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper studies the task assignment problem of a multi-robot system with complex constraints including the robot speed limit, the task execution time window constraints, the arrival time, the trip cost, and different priorities of the tasks. A new bidding function is then designed for each robot. Based on the k-means algorithm, a hierarchy-based extended consensus-based bundle algorithm (CBBA) is proposed to find the optimal solution for the task allocation problem. Finally, simulation examples are presented to show the feasibility of the proposed algorithm and comparisons with existing algorithms show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the task assignment time with guaranteed reward values. © 2022 IEEE.

Many process variables in chemical production have distributed characteristics, and traditional hardware and offline measurements to monitor these distributed variables cannot meet the requirements of modern production. As an alternative to hardware measurements, soft sensors are increasingly used in the process industries. In order to realize online monitoring of distributed process outputs, a soft sensor model based on just-in-time kernel learning (JKL) is developed in this paper. Furthermore, for the prediction error of the model, dynamic data reconciliation (DDR) is proposed to improve the prediction results of the JKL model. DDR integrates inaccurate measurement information and model prediction information, and uses the Bayesian formula to obtain the optimal estimated outputs. Finally, DDR is used to improve the molecular weight distribution (MWD) prediction results in polymerization processes to verify its effectiveness. The results show that the proposed method can further improve the accuracy of the predicted outputs of the JKL models. © 2022 IEEE.

Because of system constraints caused by the external environment and grid faults,the conventional maximum power point tracking(MPPT)and inverter control methods of a PV power generation system cannot achieve optimal power *** can also lead to misjudgments and poor dynamic *** address these issues,this paper proposes a new MPPT method of PV modules based on model predictive control(MPC)and a finite control set model predictive current control(FCS-MPCC)of an *** the identification model of PV arrays,the module-based MPC controller is designed,and maximum output power is achieved by coordinating the optimal combination of spectral wavelength and module *** FCS-MPCC algorithm is then designed to predict the inverter current under different voltage vectors,the optimal voltage vector is selected according to the optimal value function,and the corresponding optimal switching state is applied to power semiconductor devices of the *** MPPT performance of the MPC controller and the responses of the inverter under different constraints are verified,and the steady-state and dynamic control effects of the inverter using FCS-MPCC are compared with the traditional feedforward decoupling PI control in Matlab/*** results show that MPC has better tracking performance under constraints,and the system has faster and more accurate dynamic response and flexibility than conventional PI control.

Proteomic analysis of pathogen-responsive proteins from maize stem apoplast triggered by Fusarium verticillioides

During the attack of a pathogen, a variety of defense-associated proteins are released by the host plant in the apoplast to impede the perceived attack. This study utilized the mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS) and label-free quantification method to analyze the apoplastic fluid(APF) from maize stalk and identified the proteins responsive to the Fusarium verticillioides infection. We have identified 742 proteins, and among these, 119 proteins were differentially accumulated(DAPs), i.e., 35 up-regulated, 18 down-regulated, and 66 proteins were only induced by the pathogen infection. The differentially accumulated proteins were analyzed for their Gene Ontology(GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Gene and Genomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment. The highly enriched Biological process(BP) term was the L-serine biosynthesis process, whereas the most enriched Molecular Function(MF) term was the cysteine-type endopeptidase inhibitor activity. It was also found that the pathways related to the biosynthesis of amino acid, biosynthesis of secondary metabolites, protein processing in the endoplasmic reticulum, and carbohydrate metabolic pathways were significantly enriched. Moreover, 61 out of 119 differentially accumulated proteins were predicted as secretory proteins. The secretory pathways analysis showed that a greater number of proteins were secreted through the conventional secretion system compared to the unconventional secretion system. The identified secreted proteins were related to a variety of pathways in defense responses including cell redox homeostasis, cell wall modification, signal transduction, carbohydrate metabolism, binding proteins(metal ion binding, RNA binding and heme-binding), maintenance and stabilization of other proteins, indicating a complex response from the plant to the fungal infection. Our data suggested that a number of host proteins belonging to various pathways have been modulated in the apoplastic region.
