This paper presents an idea for the research and developing of learning systems - componentialization. A learning system is to be componentialized into some blocks of special function, each cooperates with others by some standardized interfaces. The developing and research works of a learning system is to be assigned to specialists of different related domains. The object-oriented programming idea is naturally integrated. A learning system, a component of it, or even a problem, may be fit for the concept of an "object" in object-oriented programming and may be described by a C++ class. The programming language C++ helps make clear the idea of componentialization and describe the implementation of it. An example of an actual case of componentialized learning system is presented with successful application, to show its feasibility and efficiency.

A novel ant colony optimization algorithm was proposed for the scheduling problem in multiproduct chemical batch process, including a critical block based neighborhood structure in local search procedure to reduce the searching space of the problem, an ants-seed strategy, a stagnation step out mechanism and a pheromone trail limit mechanism in pheromone updating procedure to avoid stagnation. In the proposed algorithm, the pheromone acts as an indirect communication media among the ant colony. Guided by the pheromone, all the ants converge to good tours in the sense of probability. Comparisons with other well-performed algorithms on Taillard's benchmark problems (1993) show that our algorithm is more efficient and has stronger adaptability and robustness.

We first propose and research a multi-class multi-queue system single server under polling table, which is more proper for modeling token-based communication systems. Then we deduce its common stability condition through analyzing the procedure of message service and message queue in this system. Further, we obtain stability conditions with services, such as limited and gated service, from the common stability condition. Besides, both queue stability and system stability are considered for some systems whose exact analyses have not been obtained yet. The analysis indicates that system stability and queue stability depend on the service styles.

In this paper, we propose MCMQS (multi-class multi-queue system), which is effective in modeling and analyzing computer and communication systems, and we investigate its characteristics in detail. First, we deduce MCMQS's general system stability condition, and give its application in concrete types of services. Through analyzing the service procedure and number of waiting messages, we construct an embedded Markov chain and a generation function of waiting messages. Then, we derive an analytical expression of MCMQS's mean system operation period under the system stable condition. Further, we amend the analytical expression after considering the effect of the system stable condition. A numerical example verifies the theoretical analysis.

This paper presents an integrated approach to analyse worst-case responding time (WCRT) of aperiodic message in WorldFIP for guaranteeing realtime requirement of distributed control system (DCS). Aperiodic message transmission within WorldFIP is a very complicated procedure because it is concerned with left time in a microcycle and must successively follow three different stages. To decrease pessimistic factors in WCRT of aperiodic message, we integrate the procedures of transmitting periodic message, identifying aperiodic request and transmitting aperiodic message together, and deduce a tightly bound for WCRT of aperiodic message.
