Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) is rapidly driving a new phase of artificial intelligence revolution, marked by various applications such as ChatGPT, Sora and DeepSeek. With powerful capabilities in content generation, personalization and user interaction, GenAI can drive significant enhancements in various mobile services to satisfy individual user preferences. Meanwhile, mobile services offer substantial support for accessibility, functionality and intelligence of GenAI applications. However, current research on integrating GenAI and mobile services remains nascent, lacking necessary theoretical and technical support. In this survey, we break down a new vision to guide research on integrating GenAI and mobile services, aiming to improve 6G intelligence levels and enable 6G mobile networks to support the integration of GenAI and mobile services effectively. We begin by examining the necessity of integrating GenAI with 6G mobile services and exploring potential learning architectures of GenAI models within mobile networks. Next, we analyze potential solutions from two perspectives: how 6G mobile networks empower GenAI and how GenAI enables mobile services. We subsequently explore a promising use case, along with essential features and techniques, to facilitate the integration of GenAI and mobile services. Finally, we discuss future research directions, aiming at realizing intelligent 6G networks. © 2015 IEEE.

Image co-segmentation and co-localization exploit inter-image information to identify and extract foreground objects with a batch mode. However, they remain challenging when confronted with large object variations or complex backgrounds. This paper proposes a multi-view graph embedding (MV-Gem) learning scheme which integrates diversity, robustness and discernibility of object features to alleviate this phenomenon. To encourage the diversity, the deep co-information containing both low-layer general representations and high-layer semantic information is generated to form a multi-view feature pool for comprehensive co-object description. To enhance the robustness, a multi-view adaptive weighted learning is formulated to fuse the deep co-information for feature complementation. To ensure the discernibility, the graph embedding and sparse constraint are embedded into the fusion formulation for feature selection. The former aims to inherit important structures from multiple views, and the latter further selects important features to restrain irrelevant backgrounds. With these techniques, MV-Gem gradually recovers all co-objects through optimization iterations. Extensive experimental results on real-world datasets demonstrate that MV-Gem is capable of locating and delineating co-objects in an image group. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

With the increasing emphasis on embedding advanced technology into system controls, the Direct Power Control (DPC) approach has garnered considerable attention due to its simple and highly adaptable algorithm. This approach has been increasingly recognized in numerous applications. However, the variable frequency, harmonic distortion of the currents, and power ripples caused by Hysteresis controllers and switching tables decrease its effectiveness and robustness, affecting the system's performance. For this reason, this paper proposed a new DPC based on Artificial Neural Network (ANN) approaches. In this approach, the hysteresis comparator and the switching table are substituted with ANN controllers and then applied on both sides: machine-side converter (MSC) and grid-side converter (GSC) of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator based Wind Energy Conversion System (PMSG-WECS). Moreover, to make the system more efficient in varying wind conditions, this study expands the utilization of the artificial neural networks (ANN) to encompass the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control strategy. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach on the system behaviors, a simulation test was carried out in the Matlab/Simulink environment, using a real wind profile of a Moroccan city (Essaouira). In comparison to the classical DPC control, the simulation results showed the superior performance of the proposed ANN-DPC control in terms of reference tracking, response time, overshoot, precision, and its capacity to reduce the rate of power ripples and total harmonic distortion (THD) in the injected currents. Furthermore, a robustness test was also included in this work to check the robustness of the proposed control against parameters variation. In conclusion, the feasibility and effectiveness of the ANN-DPC control approach were confirmed through experimental validation using the dSPACE DS1104 board. © 2024 The Authors

The determination of weights is a critical step in Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) processes, and subjective methods play a significant role in this area. This paper provides a comprehensive review of subjective weight determination methodologies, focusing primarily on sources from the Scopus database. Through a systematic literature review, this study analyzes 33,434 publications related to subjective weight determination, providing insights into the trends, advancements, and applications of these methodologies. The review underscores the importance of expert knowledge in contemporary decision-making and suggests potential areas for future research, including the integration of subjective methods with emerging technologies and the development of more robust and consistent weighting frameworks. This paper aims to serve as a valuable resource for researchers and practitioners in the field of MCDM, offering a detailed overview of the current state of subjective weight determination methods and their practical implications. © 2024 The Authors.

As civilization advances, decision-making problems become increasingly complex, posing significant challenges in deriving optimal solutions. The field of multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) has evolved to address these complexities;however, single-solution approaches are often inadequate in multi-decision-maker scenarios, necessitating group decision-making methods. This study proposes an alternative compromise solution for evaluating electric car performance, examining various compromise approaches, including voting methods like Borda and Copeland counts, and more advanced techniques such as Iterative Compromise Ranking Analysis (ICRA), Improved Borda, HQ compromise, Dominance-directed graph, and Rank position methods. These methods were assessed using two ranking correlation coefficients to evaluate their effectiveness in multi-decision-maker scenarios. Results indicate that while minor differences in rankings were observed based on the chosen compromise method, these differences could influence decision-making outcomes. The analysis highlights the importance of selecting methods that align with specific needs and expectations. Future research should focus on simulation-based studies to better understand the characteristics of each method and apply these methods to real-world case studies to determine their suitability in various contexts. © 2024 The Authors.

Sharding is an effective technique to improve the scalability of blockchain. It splits nodes into multiple groups so that they can process transactions in parallel. To achieve higher parallelism and concurrency at large scales, it is desirable to maintain a large number of small shards. However, simply configuring small shards easily results in a higher fraction of malicious nodes inside shards, causing shard corruption and compromising system security. Existing sharding techniques hence demand large shards, at the expense of limited concurrency. To address this limitation, we propose CoChain: a blockchain sharding system that can securely configure small shards for enhanced concurrency. CoChain allows some shards to be corrupted. For security, each shard is monitored by multiple other shards. The latter reach a cross-shard Consensus on the Consensus results of their monitored shard. Once a corrupted shard is found, its subsequent consensus will be taken over by another shard, hence recovering the system. Cellular-connected unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communications is an enabling technology to transmit control signaling or payload data for UAVs through cellular networks. Due to the line-of-sight dominant air-to-ground channels, efficient interference mitigation is crucial to UAV communications, while the conventional fixed-position antenna (FPA) arrays have limited degrees of freedom to suppress the interference between the UAV and its non-associated co-channel base stations (BSs). To address this challenge, we propose in this letter a new approach by utilizing the six-dimensional movable antenna (6DMA) arrays to enhance the interference mitigation for the UAV. Specifically, we propose an efficient block coordinate descent algorithm to iteratively optimize the antenna position vector, array rotation vector, receive beamforming vector, and associated BS of the UAV to maximize its signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio. Numerical results show that the proposed 6DMA enhanced cellular-connected UAV communication can significantly outperform that with the traditional FPA arrays and other benchmark schemes in terms of interference mitigation. © 2025 IEEE. In the original publication, the author has found few errors in the figures 2, 4, 11 and 12 which significantly impact both the paper's quality and the reputation of the journal. These issues undermine the clarity of the methodology and the novelty of the research. 1. This paper presents an innovative method for enhancing security improve the security of grayscale images by integrating hybrid cryptographic techniques, specifically taking advantage of the sine map and a dual application of the logistic map. The synergy of these chaotic systems reinforces the encryption process, the sinusoidal card generating pseudo-random sequences essential for the generation of cryptographic keys, and the double logistic card adding complexity and unpredictability. Hybridization exploits their complementary characteristics, contributing to the overall robustness of the encryptions system. The theoretical foundations of the sinusoidal map and the double logistic map are examined, highlighting their suitability for cryptographic applications. A comparative examination with established techniques showcases the effectiveness of the proposed method, both in terms of security and computational efficiency, experimental results showing resilience against various attacks, providing information for practical integration into image security frameworks. © 2024 IEEE.

It is critical to assess the standards of disabled facilities in order to ensure the comfort and safety of disabled individuals who use them. In this study, deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) with multi-label classification capability are employed for a preliminary evaluation of the car park for the disabled and the elderly in accordance with ministerial regulations, reducing the burden of on-site inspection by specialists. Using a transfer learning technique, the weights of an Inception-V3, Xception, and EfficientNet-B2 architectures previously trained on the ImageNet dataset were updated with the disabled car park image dataset. We used 4,812 training images and 355 test images to train, evaluate, and compare the model. The results revealed that the EfficientNet-B2 model yielded the best performance for 5 out of 6 classes, with the F1-score between 79.8% and 95.6%. In contrast, the remaining one class was best predicted by the Xception model, where the F1-score was 83.33%. This implies that it is possible to apply CNNs to aid in the evaluation of handicap facilities. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
