With the continuous development of software open-sourcing, the reuse of open-source software has led to a significant increase in the occurrence of recurring vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities often arise through the practice of copying and pasting existing vulnerabilities. Many methods have been proposed for detecting recurring vulnerabilities, but they often struggle to ensure both high efficiency and consideration of semantic information about vulnerabilities and patches. In this paper, we introduce FIRE, a scalable method for large-scale recurring vulnerability detection. It utilizes multi-stage filtering and differential taint paths to achieve precise clone vulnerability scanning at an extensive scale. In our evaluation across ten open-source software projects, FIRE demonstrates a precision of 90.0% in detecting 298 recurring vulnerabilities out of 385 ground truth instance. This surpasses the performance of existing advanced recurring vulnerability detection tools, detecting 31.4% more vulnerabilities than VUDDY and 47.0% more than MOVERY. When detecting vulnerabilities in large-scale software, FIRE outperforms MOVERY by saving about twice the time, enabling the scanning of recurring vulnerabilities on an ultra-large scale.

MTD: Multi-Timestep Detector for Delayed Streaming Perception

Autonomous driving systems require real-time environmental perception to ensure user safety and experience. Streaming perception is a task of reporting the current state of the world, which is used to evaluate the delay and accuracy of autonomous driving systems. In real-world applications, factors such as hardware limitations and high temperatures inevitably cause delays in autonomous driving systems, resulting in the offset between the model output and the world state. In order to solve this problem, this paper propose the Multi-Timestep Detector (MTD), an end-to-end detector which uses dynamic routing for multi-branch future prediction, giving model the ability to resist delay fluctuations. A Delay Analysis Module (DAM) is proposed to optimize the existing delay sensing method, continuously monitoring the model inference stack and calculating the delay trend. Moreover, a novel Timestep Branch Module (TBM) is constructed, which includes static flow and adaptive flow to adaptively predict specific timesteps according to the delay trend. The proposed method has been evaluated on the Argoverse-HD dataset, and the experimental results show that it has achieved state-of-the-art performance across various delay settings. With serverless computing offering more efficient and cost-effective application deployment, the diversity of serverless platforms presents challenges to users, including platform lock-in and costly migration. Moreover, due to the black box nature of function computing, traditional performance benchmarking methods are not applicable, necessitating new studies. This article presents a detailed comparison of six major public cloud function computing platforms and introduces a benchmarking framework for function computing performance. This framework aims to help users make comprehensive comparisons and select the most suitable platform for their specific needs.

With the increasing adoption of graph neural networks (GNNs) in the graph-based deep learning community, various graph programming frameworks and models have been developed to improve the productivity of GNNs. The current GNN frameworks choose GPU as an essential tool to accelerate GNN training. However, it is still challenging to train GNNs on large graphs with limited GPU memory. Unlike traditional neural networks, generating mini-batch data by sampling in GNNs requires some complicated tasks such as traversing the graph to select neighboring nodes and gathering their features. This process takes up most of the training and we find the main bottleneck comes from transferring nodes features from CPU to GPU through limited bandwidth. In this paper, We propose a method Reusing Batch Data for the problem of data transmission. This method utilizes the similarity between adjacent mini-batches to reduce repeated data transmission from CPU to GPU. Furthermore, to reduce the overhead introduced by this method, we design a fast algorithm based on GPU to detect repeated nodes’ data and achieve shorter additional computation time. Evaluations on three representative GNN models show that our method can reduce transmission time by up to 60% and speed the end-to-end GNN training by up to 1.79× over the state-ofthe-art baselines. Besides, Reusing Batch Data can effectively save GPU memory footprint by about 19% to 40% while still reducing the training time compared to the static cache strategy.

The pre-training language model BERT has brought significant performance improvements to a series of natural language processing tasks, but due to the large scale of the model, it is difficult to be applied in many practical application scenarios. With the continuous development of edge computing, deploying the models on resource-constrained edge devices has become a trend. Considering the distributed edge environment, how to take into account issues such as data distribution differences, labeling costs, and privacy while the model is shrinking is a critical task. The paper proposes a new BERT distillation method with source-free unsupervised domain adaptation. By combining source-free unsupervised domain adaptation and knowledge distillation for optimization and improvement, the performance of the BERT model is improved in the case of cross-domain data. Compared with other methods, our method can improve the average prediction accuracy by up to around 4% through the experimental evaluation of the cross-domain sentiment analysis task.

With the increasing requirements of real-time traffic management in urban transportation, vehicle destination prediction data, as an important part of smart city brain data, is becoming more and more important in urban traffic management and operation. This paper builds a vehicle destination prediction scheme based on trajectory data. By collecting public vehicle trajectory datasets, the Sequence to Sequence (Seq2Seq) sequence generation model and the Text-Convolutional Neural Network (Text-CNN) sequence classification model are built respectively to implement the vehicle destination prediction. In order to evaluate the performance of the models, Accuracy and Mean Distance are used as metrics to compare the model performance under different training data conditions. Advantage analysis was done in combination with different application scenarios for practical application reference. According to the prediction performance of different models built in this work in different application scenarios, the advantages are analyzed for reference in practice.

科学正在进入一个新时代——第五范式——它被认为是知识整合到不同领域的主要特征,是基于无所不在的机器学习系统的计算社区中智能驱动的工作。在此,我们通过在天河一号超级计算机系统上构建的催化材料专门设计的典型平台案例,生动地阐明了第五范式的本质,旨在促进第五范式在其他领域的培养。第五范式平台主要包括模型自动构建(原始数据提取)、指纹自动构建(神经网络特征选择)以及跨学科知识串联的重复迭代(“火山图”)。与分解一起进行的是对迭代中实现的体系结构的性能评估。通过讨论,第五范式的智能驱动平台可以极大地简化和改进研究中极其繁琐和具有挑战性的工作,并通过补偿机器学习中缺少样本和替代一些由于计算资源不足而导致的数值计算来实现数值计算与机器学习之间的相互反馈,从而加速探索过程。在数据驱动的学科中,跨学科专家的协同作用和对动态数据需求的急剧增长仍然是一个挑战。我们相信,对第五范式平台的一瞥可以为其在其他领域的应用铺平道路。

Efficient Modeling Attack on Multiplexer PUFs via Kronecker Matrix Multiplication

The Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) is valued for its lightweight nature and unique functionality, making it a common choice for securing hardware products requiring authentication and key generation mechanisms. In response to the susceptibility of individual PUFs to modeling attacks, advanced PUF variants have been developed to improve security measures. One notable type in this regard is the multiplexer-based composition of arbiter PUFs, known as MPUF, which aims to meet high reliability and security standards simultaneously. Current research on attacking MPUF encounters challenges such as substantial demands for training CRPs and low success rates. In this work, we propose a novel numerical modeling attack strategy for MPUFs. Using Kronecker products from mathematical perspective, this method precisely describe the MPUF model without using complex network architectures, boosting attack accuracy and overall efficiency. Experiment comparison with state-of-the-art works demonstrates that our method achieves better performance in terms of attack accuracy, robustness, and efficiency. Our method is able to successfully attack a (512, 8)-MPUF in 32.71 minutes with 97.14% accuracy, outperforming all existing attack methods on MPUFs. More, we validate our method through experiments with hardware implementations on FPGAs. The advantages of our method also include the adaptability to be employed to attack other MPUF variations like cMPUF and rMPUF, and the capability to be integrated with an existing attack method for launching efficient attack on MPUFs leveraging reliability information. © 2025 IEEE.
