Performance Evaluation with Improved Receiver Design for Asynchronous Coordinated Multipoint Transmissions

Joint transmission is one of the ma jor transmission schemes in Coordinated multipoint(Co MP)transmission/reception systems for Long term evolutionadvanced(LTE-A). Due to different distances between User equipments(UE) and Base stations(BS), signals are not able to arrive at the receiver with perfect synchronization, which implies that the reception at UE is asynchronous. This paper presents an evaluation on asynchronous UE reception in multi-cell downlink joint transmission systems using our LTE-based Co MP ***, due to asynchronous reception, we propose an improved reception strategy to mitigate the interference which compensate for Rx timing difference on Joint transmission(JT) Co MP systems. Simulation results show that the per-subband global precoding scheme widely used in the Co MP system is considerably sensitive to asynchronous reception since the performance is dominated by the subcarrier used for precoding vector calculation. It is verified that our proposed solution is able to achieve significant improvements under asynchronous reception.

We studied the spatio-temporal distribution of dengue at the micro-scale, along with other important factors for disease transmission, like vector prevalence, seasonality, breeding behaviour, entomological indices, and its relation with environmental and climatic factors in Kolkata, one of the most populous metropolitan cities in India, facing dengue upsurge in recent years. We analysed dengue data from 144 wards, city-level meteorological data for 6 years (2017–2022), Land Use Land Cover (LULC) data for 2022, and entomological surveillance data from 7 wards in 2022. Dengue showed high spatial heterogeneity and clustering at the micro-level, with a yearly post-monsoon peak (August-November) accounting for ∼90% of cases and representing a 2–3 month lag between high rainfall, temperature, and relative humidity (RH). Both Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus were prevalent, with distinct spatio-temporal distributions and instances of mixed breeding. Ae. aegypti primarily breeds indoors and peri-domestically, showing a strong correlation with rainfall (R² = 0.78, p-value = 0.0003) in indoor habitats and had a perennial presence. In contrast, Ae. albopictus was the more common outdoor breeder, strongly correlating with rainfall (R² = 0.75, p-value = 0.0003) in outdoor habitats. This is the first study from Kolkata, India, highlighting the spatio-temporal distribution of dengue and its links to vector behaviour, climate, and environmental factors. The findings will help identify recent dengue hotspots in Kolkata, which will help in developing targeted vector control strategies. © 2025 The Author(s). It is not easy to processing piston ring contour because of its complicating shape. From view of time-domain analysis, in order to trace the curve of piston ring, servo actuator must have high speed and acceleration to complete movement of back and forth. From view of frequency -domain analysis, the order of harmonic of the piston ring contour is very high, so the control system bandwidth also should be wide enough. It's hard to satisfy these requirements for the traditional drive methods by using rotate serve and Lead screw. In this paper, a new method of direct drive by linear motor is provided, And achieve good results.

In order to enhance openness and flexibility of industrial robot control system, an open control system based on double-CPU was designed. An embedded industrial computer based on 86 CPU with Windows XP worked as the upper-system, which implemented HMI and management of the open control system. A FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) and another same embedded industrial computer with RT-Linux worked as the lower-system, which implemented realtime motion control of the open control system. Ethernet based on a user-defined Ethernet type was used for exchanging data between the two CPU. Experimental results of the open control system being used for controlling a 5 DOF(Degrees of Freedom) flexible-joint manipulator demonstrate that performance of the system can satisfy requirements of different industrial robot application. © 2011 IEEE.

Improving transportation efficiency is an eternal research hotspot in rail transit system. In recent years, the train operation control method based on virtual coupling has attracted the attention of many *** method of train coordination and anti-collision control is not only the key to realize the virtual coupling of train, but also the key to ensure the safety of train operation. Therefore, based on the existing research, a virtual coupled train dynamics model with nonlinear dynamics is established. Then, the parameters of the operation process model of the nonlinear virtual coupled train are identified by the recursive least squares method based on realtime data, which is applied to the variable parameter artificial potential field(VAPF) for parameter identification.A fusion controller based on feature-based generalized model prediction(GPC) and VAPF is used to control the virtual coupled train and prevent collision. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is verified by using real high-speed railway data.

The CNC system failure rate distillation function was deduced to adopt Bayes method, which used binomial probability distribution as the likelihood function kernels, and Beta distribution as the prior distribution. With the fully priori information, failure rate mean and variance was calculated, then the parameter in Beta distribution could be estimated . The 2-parameters Weibull distribution was the optimum fitting distribution of the CNC system failure probability distribution .The Shape parameter and size parameter of Weibull distribution could be estimated by using the failure rate gotten from Bayes formula , then the MTBF also could be estimated. © 2010 IEEE.

Optimal interface surface determination for multi-axis freeform surface machining with both roughing and finishing

In the current practice of multi-axis machining of freeform surfaces, the interface surface between the roughing and finishing process is simply an offset surface of the nominal surface. While there have already been attempts at minimizing the machining time by considering the kinematic capacities of the machine tool and/or the physical constraints such as the cutting force, they all target independently at either the finishing or the roughing process alone and are based on the simple premise of an offset interface surface. Conceivably, since the total machining time should count that of both roughing and finishing process and both of them crucially depend on the interface surface, it is natural to ask if, under the same kinematic capacities and the same physical constraints, there is a nontrivial interface surface whose corresponding total machining time will be the minimum among all the possible（infinite） choices of interface surfaces, and this is the motivation behind the work of this paper. Specifically, with respect to the specific type of iso-planar milling for both roughing and finishing, we present a practical algorithm for determining such an optimal interface surface for an arbitrary freeform surface. While the algorithm is proposed for iso-planar milling, it can be easily adapted to other types of milling strategy such as contour milling. Both computer simulation and physical cutting experiments of the proposed method have convincingly demonstrated its advantages over the traditional simple offset method.

The Investigation of Data Voting Algorithm for Train Air-Braking system Based on Multi-Classification SVM and ANFIS

The pressure data of the train air braking system is of great significance to accurately evaluate its operation state. In order to overcome the influence of sensor fault on the pressure data of train air braking system, it is necessary to design a set of sensor fault-tolerant voting mechanism to ensure that in the case of a pressure sensor fault, the system can accurately identify and locate the position of the faulty sensor, and estimate the fault data according to other normal data. A fault-tolerant mechanism based on multi-classification support vector machine(SVM) and adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system(ANFIS) is introduced. Multi-classification SVM is used to identify and locate the system fault state, and ANFIS is used to estimate the real data of the fault sensor. After estimation, the system will compare the real data of the fault sensor with the ANFIS estimated data. If it is similar,the system will recognize that there is a false alarm and record it. Then the paper tests the whole mechanism based on the real data. The test shows that the system can identify the fault samples and reduce the occurrence of false alarms.
