Research on the feasibility of storage and estimation model of storage capacity of CO_(2)in fissures of coal mine old goaf

The concept of the carbon cycle in the old goaf of a coal mine based on CO_(2)utilization and storage was put forward adhering to the principle of low-carbon development,utilization of space resources in old goafs,and associated gas resources ***,the evolution characteristics of overburden fissures in the goaf of the case was studied using a two-dimensional physical similarity simulation test,the sealing performance of the caprocks after stabilization was analyzed,and the fissures were counted and ***,the process of gaseous CO_(2)injection in the connected fissure was simulated by Ansys Fluent software,and the migration law and distribution characteristics of CO_(2)under the condition of gaseous CO_(2)injection were ***,the estimation models of free CO_(2)storage capacity in the old goaf were constructed considering the proportion of connected fissure and the effectiveness of CO_(2)*** CO_(2)storage capacity in the old goaf of the case coal mine was *** results showed that a caprock group of“hard-thickness low-permeability hard-thickness”was formed after the caprock-fissures system in the goaf of the case tended to be stable *** connected fissure,occlude cracks,and micro-fractures in the goaf accounted for 85.5%,8.5%,and 6%of the total fissures,*** CO_(2)first migrated to the bottom of the connected fissure after CO_(2)was injected into the goaf,then spread horizontally along the bottom of the connected fissure after reaching the bottom,and finally spread longitudinally after filling the bottom of the entire connected *** theoretical and effective storage capacities of free CO_(2)at normal temperature and pressure in the old goaf of the case were 9757 and 7477 t,*** effective storage capacity of free CO_(2)at normal temperature and pressure in the old goaf after all minefield mined was 193404 *** research can provide some reference for the coal mining ind

Manual methods involve a large workload and high risk in electric power inspections. Additionally, drone inspections are constrained by limited range, making inspecting areas with complex terrain difficult. Spurred by these limitations, this study proposes an integrated power inspection system that synergistically combines an inspection vehicle and a drone to confront these problems. The primary objective of this research is to establish a vehicle-mounted drone inspection system model and formulate an optimization goal using the total inspection distance as the objective function. Specifically, an improved ant colony optimization (IACO) algorithm is employed to optimize the solution, and the proposed multi-path selection mechanism and elite strategy improve the algorithm’s performance. The results are compared against the original ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm, dynamic evaporation rate adaptive ant colony optimization (DERAACO) algorithm, A* algorithm, and genetic algorithm on a city’s transmission tower map and actual tower data. The simulation results indicate that the IACO significantly improves route planning efficiency, enhances operational efficiency, and validates the feasibility of the proposed vehicle-mounted drone inspection model. This research provides essential theoretical insights and practical implications for advancing electric power inspection methodologies. © (2025), (International Association of Engineers). Forbush decreases(FDs), defined as abrupt and transient reductions in cosmic ray(CR) flux intensity, are fundamental probes for understanding the complex interplay between solar activity and terrestrial weather *** previous studies have predominantly focused on events with absolute sizes >3%, small-size events(amplitude ?3%) and their potential connections to Sun-Earth interactions remain significantly understudied. This research gap arises due to the challenges associated with precise timing and accurate characterization of small-scale events, compounded by the complexities of analyzing other transient astrophysical phenomena. In this study, we employed a state-of-the-art, highly sensitive FD event selection algorithm on daily-averaged CR data spanning1998–2006 to create catalogs of small-amplitude FDs from nine neutron monitors(NMs) located at low(0–100 m),mid(101–1000 m) and high(>1000 m) altitudes. From the data set, we identified 1956 small-amplitude FDs composed of 766, 601, and 589 events across low, mid, and high-altitude NMs, respectively. Among these FDs,80, 38, and 19 events were observed to occur simultaneously across the respective altitude ranges. Our analysis shows that the correlation coefficient for small-amplitude FDs and the solar-geomagnetic indices varies appreciably across the three altitude ranges and among the individual NM stations. The same solar/terrestrial variable that indicates a statistically significant correlation with small FDs at some altitude ranges/stations registered marginal or even non-significant relations at other altitudes/stations. These results are indications that small FDs are location-dependent CR phenomena. The results may provide valuable insights into how solar-terrestrial interactions affect CR flux variations across different NM stations and atmospheric levels. This understanding helps improve space weather models and enhances knowledge of CR modulation processes.

In this paper, a distributed game-based formation control method for a set of assembly modules is proposed to form a desired configuration during on-orbit assembly. Considering different interests of individual assembly modules, formation control is modeled as a noncooperative game with control constraints and collision avoidance, where each module establishes its strategy to interact with other modules during the process of formation control. In order to get Nash equilibrium, the game problem is reformulated into a game problem in receding predictive horizon and simplified into Quadratic programming (QP) formulation. An illustrative example is given to validate the effectiveness of the distributed game-based formation control method in tackling with the assembly of modules. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

This paper proposes a new mesh deformation scheme in a 3D reconstruction in which the performance deteriorates when an object of an unlearned category is input in a 3D model generation network. The proposed method uses a new loss function to generate appropriate 3D reconstruction outputs even for inputs of unlearned categories of 3D models. We compare the performance with the existing method so as to prove the validity of this method. The simulation results show that the proposed loss function improves the generalization ability of the 3D reconstruction with good performance even for inputs of unlearned categories. © 2023 IEEE.

Two dimensional projections of three dimensional (3D) objects are used to teach anatomy. These projections are relatively unrealistic, and medical students cannot easily and accurately grasp the position and shape of each anatomical structure. As a remedy, 3D holographic projections allow for 3D anatomical structures to be projected in space without the use of worn contraptions. This study designed a method for optimizing 3D holographic projections with respect to the quality characteristics of 3D imaging definition and stereoscopic quality. The Taguchi method was used to determine the factors that most greatly influenced these quality characteristics, and the Delphi method and fuzzy theory were used to quantify image quality. Among three main factors of material of the projection panel, thickness of the projection panel, and angle made by the projection panel with the horizontal plane, thickness was the most influential. The optimal combination of factors was acrylic material, a thickness of 1 mm, and an angle of 45°. This paper's method aids medical pedagogy and can be used by the holographic projection manufacturing industry to optimize 3D imaging definition and stereoscopic quality. © 2023 Society for Imaging science and technology.

The 3D structure and microenvironmental morphology of the physical environment influence the migration pathways and modes of cancer cells, which is crucial for understanding cancer dissemination and metastasis mechanisms. However, existing microfluidic chip structures still face challenges in inducing directional migration of neuroblastoma cells along narrow tubular structures. This study introduces a microfluidic chip design featuring guidance channels and narrow drainage tubes to assess the migration capabilities of SH-SY5Y cells in narrow tubular environments. Specifically, SHSY5Y Cells Guidance Channels (SGCs) were designed and fabricated as functional zones to induce directional migration of cells, while two narrow drainage tubes were placed on either side to facilitate media drainage and alleviate channel blockages. By establishing directed flow from an initial chamber to a final chamber, cell migration along SGCs was induced. Experimental results demonstrate that the microfluidic chip with SGCs effectively evaluates cell migration in elongated tubular environments. Furthermore, increasing the initial cell density seeded into the chip significantly enhanced the number of cells undergoing directional migration. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

A split-gate SiC trench gate MOSFET with stepped thick oxide, source-connected split-gate(SG), and p-type pillar(ppillar) surrounded thick oxide shielding region(GSDP-TMOS) is investigated by Silvaco TCAD simulations. The sourceconnected SG region and p-pillar shielding region are introduced to form an effective two-level shielding, which reduces the specific gate–drain charge(Q_(gd,sp)) and the saturation current, thus reducing the switching loss and increasing the short-circuit capability. The thick oxide that surrounds a p-pillar shielding region efficiently protects gate oxide from being damaged by peaked electric field, thereby increasing the breakdown voltage(BV). Additionally, because of the high concentration in the n-type drift region, the electrons diffuse rapidly and the specific on-resistance(Ron,sp) becomes *** the end, comparing with the bottom p~+ shielded trench MOSFET(GP-TMOS), the Baliga figure of merit(BFOM,BV~2/R_(on,sp)) is increased by 169.6%, and the high-frequency figure of merit(HF-FOM, R_(on,sp) × Q_(gd,sp)) is improved by310%, respectively.
