One of the pillars to build a country's economy is the stock market. Over the years, people are investing in stock markets to earn as much profit as possible from the amount of money that they possess. Hence, it is vital to have a prediction model which can accurately predict future stock prices. With the help of machine learning, it is not an impossible task as the various machine learning techniques if modeled properly may be able to provide the best prediction values. This would enable the investors to decide whether to buy, sell or hold the share. The aim of this paper is to predict the future of the financial stocks of a company with improved accuracy. In this paper, we have proposed the use of historical as well as sentiment data to efficiently predict stock prices by applying LSTM. It has been found by analyzing the existing research in the area of sentiment analysis that there is a strong correlation between the movement of stock prices and the publication of news articles. Therefore, in this paper, we have integrated these factors to predict the stock prices more accurately. © 2022, CC BY.

Weather is a phenomenon that affects everything and everyone around us on a daily basis. Weather prediction has been an important point of study for decades as researchers have tried to predict the weather and climatic changes using traditional meteorological techniques. With the advent of modern technologies and computing power, we can do so with the help of machine learning techniques. We aim to predict the weather of an area using past meteorological data and features using the Multiple Linear Regression Model. The performance of the model is evaluated and a conclusion is drawn. The model is successfully able to predict the average temperature of a day with an error of 2.8 degrees Celsius. © 2022, CC BY.

It is hard for applications to make full utilization of the peak bandwidth of the storage system in highperformance computers because of I/O interferences,storage resource misallocations and complex long I/O *** performed several studies to bridge this gap in the Sunway storage system,which serves the supercomputer Sunway *** locate these issues and connections between them,an end-to-end performance monitoring and diagnosis tool was developed to understand I/O behaviors of applications and the *** the help of the tool,we were about to find out the root causes of such performance barriers at the I/O forwarding layer and the parallel file system *** application-aware I/O forwarding allocation framework was used to address the I/O interferences and resource misallocations at the I/O forwarding layer.A performance-aware data placement mechanism was proposed to mitigate the impact of I/O interferences and performance variations of storage devices in the ***,applications obtained much better I/O *** the process,we also proposed a lightweight storage stack to shorten the I/O path of applications with N-N I/O *** paper summarizes these studies and presents the lessons learned from the process.

This paper presents the design of a six-port using a Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW). Six-port detects the phase difference between two signals effectively. Meanwhile, SIW is a synthetic rectangular waveguide with low cost and low transmission loss. The characterization results show that the proposed design gave good results at the operating frequency of 60 GHz and is suitable for detecting phase differences in radar systems.

A novel drive system using Magnetic Multiple Spur Gear (MMSG) and multiple high-speed motors is characterized by small size, lightweight, and high efficiency even at high-speed region, it is expected to apply to in-wheel motor systems. However, there is a risk of contact between the rotors when applied to in-wheel motor system. In this study, a novel axial-gap MMSG is proposed to solve this problem, stabilize the air gap between the high-speed and low-speed rotors, and effectively utilize the magnets, and its performance is evaluated by finite element analysis.

This paper proposes an enhanced resource selection (eInP-RS) scheme for efficient intra-platoon message delivery of cooperative awareness messages (CAMs) and decentralized environmental notification messages (DENMs). To achieve this goal, the eInP-RS scheme allows each vehicle to transmit CAM and DENM packets on a C-V2X channel (CH1) and an 802.11p channel (CH2), separately, and introduces four mechanisms to enhance the standardized sensing-based SPS scheme. A contention window (CW) size adjustment mechanism is introduced to enable a vehicle to adjust its CW size according to the information it collects on CH1 in order to avoid potential packet collisions on CH2;a resource partition mechanism is introduced to divide frequency-time resources in a selection window into two sets in order for vehicles moving in opposite directions to select different resources and thus avoid potential merging collisions on CH1;an intra-platoon cooperation mechanism is introduced to enable the PL of a platoon to know the resource and channel occupation information of the platoon's hidden nodes on CH1 and CH2;and a packet collision detection mechanism is used to enable a non-platoon vehicle to detect packet collisions occurring on both channels after a lane-changing maneuver to avoid potential merging collisions. Simulation results show that the proposed eInP-RS scheme outperforms the standardized sensing-based SPS scheme in terms of the intra-platoon CAM/DENM delivery ratio and the average intra-platoon DENM delivery delay. © 2024 IEEE.

Confidentiality of the data is being endangered as it has been categorized into false categories which might get leaked to an unauthorized party. For this reason, various organizations are mainly implementing data leakage prevention systems (DLPs). Firewalls and intrusion detection systems are being outdated versions of security mechanisms. The data which are being used, in sending state or are rest are being monitored by DLPs. The confidential data is prevented with the help of neighboring contexts and contents of DLPs. In this paper, a semantic-based approach is used to classify data based on the statistical data leakage prevention model. To detect involved private data, statistical analysis is being used to contribute secure mechanisms in the environment of data leakage. The favored Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) is the facts and details recapture function to arrange documents under particular topics. The results showcase that a similar statistical DLP approach could appropriately classify documents in case of extent alteration as well as interchanged documents. © 2022, CC BY.

Piezoelectricity spans a wide range of fields, showcasing its practical significance. In the realm of consumer electronics, piezoelectric materials are utilized in buzzers, sensors, and actuators. These components find applications in everyday devices such as mobile phones, wearable gadgets, and home appliances. The aim of study is to present a novel design of layered recurrent neural network (LRNNs) for solving nonlinear piezoelectric cantilever mass–beam (PE-CMB) model representing the excitation frequency dynamics. The proposed PE-CMB model is mathematically represented with highly nonlinear second-order differential system. The synthetic dataset is created using Adams numerical scheme for piezoelectric cantilever beam system, and the data are randomly segmented for training samples to formulate the network and testing samples to record performance on unbiased data and validation samples for controllability of adaptive procedure of training the weights to approximate the solutions of PE-CMB with LRNNs. The efficiency and consistent performance of the LRNNs design are validated through an evaluation process encompassing measures such as achieved accuracy using mean squared error-derived cost functions, plots illustrating learning curves, adaptively controlled parameters, solution dynamics along with associated error analysis, and a statistical analysis involving distribution of error for each instances via histograms and regression metric. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Società Italiana di Fisica and Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

We investigate the multi-faceted access point (AP) placement problems in uplink small-cell and cell-free networks in the context of throughput-optimality and to what extent the popular Lloyd algorithm from vector quantization (VQ) is suited to solve them. We develop single user throughput optimization formulations and solutions related to VQ considering the small-cell scenario, after which we expand the formulations to multiple users. For the cell-free scenario, we consider the mean throughput of all users and a max-min technique. We compare the rate performances of the AP placement solutions from both scenarios with the Lloyd algorithm. While the Lloyd algorithm is found not to strictly solve for small-cell AP locations and its approach is divergent from the cell-free perspective, we conclude from numerical experiments that it is good enough for both scenarios. © 2021 IEEE.

Detection of the human face and matching it against user data, saved in our databases, with the intent of authenticating a person’s identity through the computer is an engaging and challenging task. With the development in the field of robotics and computer vision technologies, real-time human face recognition has also emerged as a key ongoing area. So, we proposed a novel scheme to process the real-time images according to requirements, captured in a computer web camera. By making use of open source computer vision library (OpenCV) and applying its in-built functions, we can easily detect human faces and then match them against the training sets (face images stored in the database) to recognize a human’s identity. Image handling and processing are done using basic library methods. These library functions are able to capture images from a webcam, create windows to hold the images at run time, save them in the database and process them to check exact likeness. CascadeClassifier is used for face detection, and HaarCascade is used for this purpose. FaceRecognizer class is used for face recognition. EigenFaces, FisherFaces and Local Binary Patterns are the basic methods that can be used for this. Images are stored in form of a CSV database. © 2022, CC BY.
