In this special issue, we have collected eight articles that offer new points for research on information and communications technology (ICT)-based systems. We focused on the intuitive nature of the relationship between new ICT-based systems and contemporary management, forming an integrative unit of analysis instead of focusing solely on new ICT-based systems and leaving contemporary management as a moderating or mediating factor. This special issue promoted interdisciplinary research at the intersection of new ICT-based systems and contemporary management, including cybernetics systems and knowledge management, service managing and the Internet of things, cloud and marketing management, business process re-engineering and management, knowledge management, and strategic business management, among others. Due to the diverse nature of interference signals in mobile communication frequency bands, feature extraction is challenging, and the rapid and automated identification of behaviors such as illegal frequency usage and malicious interference are difficult. Moreover, evaluating the precise impact of interference signals on communication networks is challenging. In response to this problem, this paper proposes an air interface interference recognition technology for communication links based on base station measurement reporting data. It constructs an interference recognition model to achieve automatic interference identification and evaluates the accuracy of interference recognition. On the base station side, this paper utilizes channel measurement data such as signal strength, signal quality, and signal-to-noise ratio exported by the base station. It uses a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) autoencoder model to learn normal signal patterns for interference discrimination and evaluates the impact of interference on communication networks. This method achieves precise identification of fixed-frequency interference on the base station side and evaluates the impact of interference on communication networks. Experimental results show that the base station-side approach achieves an F1 score of 0.99 in identifying fixed-frequency interference, outperforming One-Class Support Vector Machine (OCSVM), Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and Isolation Forest (IForest) methods under similar conditions. © 2025 SPIE.

This paper studies the problem of language-guided reflection separation, which aims at addressing the ill-posed reflection separation problem by introducing language descriptions to provide layer content. We propose a unified framework to solve this problem, which leverages the cross-attention mechanism with contrastive learning strategies to construct the correspondence between language descriptions and image layers. A gated network design and a randomized training strategy are employed to tackle the recognizable layer ambiguity. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by the significant performance advantage over existing reflection separation methods on both quantitative and qualitative comparisons. This paper presents numerical investigations on the seismic behavior of full-scale square concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) columns. The main objective is to understand the seismic behavior and evaluate the seismic performance of these composite columns under high levels of axial compression. Finite element analysis (FEA) models in ABAQUS software were used to simulate a series of columns subjected to axial compression and cyclic lateral loading. The CFST columns were modeled using eight-node reduced integration brick elements (C3D8R) for the infilled concrete with confinement effect, and four-node reduced integration shell elements (S4R) for the steel tube with consideration of steel-concrete interaction and steel wall’s buckling. The feasibility of the FEA models has been validated by published experimental results. The validated FEA model was further extended to conduct parametric studies with various parameters including width-to-thickness ratio (B/t), concrete strength, and axial compression level. The numerical analysis results reveal that with the same B/t and constituent materials, the higher the axial compression was, the lower the shear strength and the deformation capacity were. Also, the higher axial compression led to earlier local buckling of the steel tube, especially, in the case of the thinner steel wall (B/t of 41.7). The thicker steel wall (B/t of 20.8) resulted in higher strength and larger deformation capacity of the column. Increasing concrete material strength significantly improved the column’s shear strength for both thinner and thicker steel walls, but it led to significant development in deformation for the column having thicker steel walls. This study also reveals that only the square CFST columns with B/t of 20.8 using medium material strengths satisfy the seismic performance demand for the building columns in high seismic zones (ultimate interstory drift ratio (IDRu) not less than 3% radian) under high axial compression (up to 55% of

This paper considers the problem of decentralized optimization on compact submanifolds, where a finite sum of smooth (possibly non-convex) local functions is minimized by n agents forming an undirected and connected graph. However, the efficiency of distributed optimization is often hindered by communication bottlenecks. To mitigate this, we propose the Quantized Riemannian Gradient Tracking (Q-RGT) algorithm, where agents update their local variables using quantized gradients. The introduction of quantization noise allows our algorithm to bypass the constraints of the accurate Riemannian projection operator (such as retraction), further improving iterative efficiency. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first algorithm to achieve an O(1/K) convergence rate in the presence of quantization, matching the convergence rate of methods without quantization. Additionally, we explicitly derive lower bounds on decentralized consensus associated with a function of quantization levels. Numerical experiments demonstrate that Q-RGT performs comparably to non-quantized methods while reducing communication bottlenecks and computational overhead. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

Free text reviews are abundantly distributed over the internet among the standard population of the world. Although online doctors were consulted during the pandemic, many drugs are taken without prescription by ordinary people. Reviews are distributed about the medicines through online feeds, posts and blogs, which are merely helpful in identifying the side effects and their adverse reactions in combination with another drug or standalone adverse reactions. Spelling mistakes, jargon and short names are normalized throughout the medical terminologies using Natural language processing (NLP) and RxNorm from the reviews extracted from these sources. The concept of Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) is used to mine the association rules for the drug interactions when used in conjugation with another drug, and the idea of Adaptive Fuzzy logic neural networks is used to validate the results of association rules derived from the BERT. Inconsistencies identified by the regulations generated were rejected efficiently by the Support vector machines (SVM), Radial Basis Function (RBF)and the system shows 60.11 percentage of accuracy with 10 cross-fold validation, whereas the results are equivalent to the accuracy obtained using SVM with RBF kernel. The data set is reduced from its dimension using Linear discriminant analysis (LDA) by applying the mining process and BERT on two drugs, namely 'Azithromycin' in conjugation with Buprenorphine has Type 'A' side effects, and Prozac in conjugation with Metronidazole shows different side effects. Deplin and Zoloft give very positive symptoms and are independent of dosage interactions. © 2022 IEEE.

Current study aims to numerically investigate the bi-directional flow of nanofluids in the presence of Cattaneo–Christov double diffusion for two heat sources, namely, prescribed surface temperature (PST) along with prescribed heat flux (PHF). The conventional mathematical model in partial differential equations (PDEs) of the system have been reduced into an equivalent set of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The system dynamics in the form of approximate solutions of the ODEs is presented by Adams and Explicit Runge Kutta numerical solvers. For better understanding the influence of physical parameter of interest including Brownian movement parameter, thermophoresis parameter, concentration relaxation parameter, Schmidt number, Prandtl number, thermal relaxation parameter, temperature ratio parameter, stretching ratio parameter and Deborah number on temperature, as well as concentration profiles are presented exhaustively. Appropriateness of the scheme is ascertained through close resemblance of results for different state of the art counterparts with negligible error around 10–05 to 10–09. © 2024 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.

Nowadays, Alzheimer's disease is one of the most severe threats to people of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. Their everyday activities may measure this disorder, and how they speak about it shows how concerned they are about it. The way we live today is different from how it was in the past because of our working environment and the lack of opportunities to interact with people. WHO estimates that about 10 billion individuals perish each year due to Alzheimer's disease since not been appropriately diagnosed and treated. An advanced Machine Learning-based recognition system design performs in this research work. The proposed model has been designed based on the human being EEG dataset(testing) and the Kaggle Alzheimer dataset (training). The developed intelligent system will be updated with data collection and pre-processing through the Random Forest machine model to locate our health condition and recognize daily routine changes. Only by developing a machine-based approach will we be able to discover Alzheimer's patients who previously had no idea that they had the illness and are now unable to reverse the progression of their condition. The designed application has attained a sensitivity of 93.01%, an accuracy of 91.32%, a recall of 97.28%, and a detection rate of 98.91%. The implemented application is beneficial to investigators and surgeons for easy treatment. The proposed RFO Machine learning design competes with present technology and outperforms methodology. © 2023 IEEE.

In medical image segmentation, some recent methods improve domain adaptation performance through frequency domain adaptation and frequency mixup. However, these approaches have two limitations: (1) frequency domain adaptation ignores the adverse effects of high-frequency noise on model generalization, and (2) frequency mixup confuses semantic information. To address these issues, we propose a novel frequency adaptation approach for medical image segmentation including low-frequency component alignment (LFCA) and random amplitude cutmix (RAC). Since low-frequency contains major image information and high-frequency noise affects adaptation, we leverage discrete wavelet transform to decompose images into low and high-frequency components. LFCA aligns the domain distribution of low frequencies and high frequencies are passed to the decoder via skip connections. In addition, we design RAC to generate diverse augmented samples through amplitude cutmix while avoiding distortion of the original distributions. Experiments on benchmark datasets validate the efficacy of our proposed approach.

We introduce a multi-view document clustering model called DMsECN (Deep Multi-structure Ensemble Clustering Network), comprising a multi-structure processor and a hybrid ensemble clustering module. Unlike existing models, DMsECN distinguishes itself by creating a consensus structure from multiple clustering structures. The multi-structure processor comprises two stages, each contributing to the extraction of clustering structures that preserve both consistency and complementarity across multiple views. Representation learning extracts both view and view-fused representations from multi-views through the use of contrastive learning. Subsequently, multi-structure learning employs distinct view clustering guidance to generate the corresponding clustering structures. The hybrid ensemble clustering module merges two ensemble methods to amalgamate multiple structures, producing a consensus structure that guarantees both the separability and compactness of clusters within the clustering results. The attention-based ensemble primarily concentrates on learning the contribution weights of diverse clustering structures, while the similarity-based ensemble employs cluster assignment similarity and cluster classification dissimilarity to guide the refinement of the consensus structure. Experimental results demonstrate that DMsECN outperforms other models, achieving new state-of-the-art results on four multi-view document clustering datasets. © 2024 ELRA Language Resource Association: CC BY-NC 4.0.
