Enhanced power transmission for on-road AGV wireless charging systems using a current-optimized technique

This paper provides a sound wireless power transfer (WPT) recharging solution for onroad automated guided vehicle (AGV) system. In this solution, multiple transmitting coils serve as power transmitters (TXs), and a receiving coil in AGV serves as a power receiver (RX). The multiple TXs are along a straight track for dynamic charging to AGV. The circuit model of multiple-TX and single-RX WPT system is first constructed based on circuit theory (CT), and then current-optimized scheme based on Lagrangian multiplier method is proposed to tune the currents in multiple TXs to maximize the power delivered to the load (PDL). The equal current (EC Case) flowing through each TX is compared with the optimal current (OC Case). Through contrastive analysis, the OC Case shows its advantages in PDL. Finally, the theoretical analysis results are confirmed by the results of full-wave electromagnetic simulation. © 2019, Electromagnetics Academy. All rights reserved.

In this paper, a high security encryption circuit based on ring oscillator PUF and secure scan chain is proposed. The circuit is composed of three parts: self-reference ring oscillator, test vectors input and decision module and secure scan chain circuit. The key protection is divided into two stages. In the key generation period, the unique identification information of the chip is generated by a self-reference ring oscillator. In the key transmission phase, the XOR value of the correct scan test vectors and the obfuscation vectors generated by the linear feedback shift register are input into the secure scan chain, which further obfuscates the data. Compared with conventional schemes, the area of the proposed self-reference ring oscillator PUF is effectively reduced. In this event, the innovative combination of PUF and secure scan chain proposed in this paper have limited area to a certain extent, and greatly improved the security. The probability of cracking the key is merely $\left(\frac{1}{32 !}\right)^4 \frac{1}{\left(2^n * 2\right)^{256} * 2^n} \frac{1}{2^n}$.

Laser Scribing of Graphene Oxide Using Bessel Beam for Humidity Sensing

Laser-scribed graphene oxide (GO) shows great promise for high-performance, cost-effective humidity sensors. However, when using the commonly employed Gaussian beam, the Rayleigh length is relatively short, leading to potential stability issues during large-area processing, especially when defocusing occurs. In this paper, we utilize a diffraction-free Bessel beam to one-step fabricate reduced graphene oxide (rGO) electrodes specifically designed for humidity sensing applications. The effects of defocusing and laser power on the line width and resistance of the fabricated electrodes are investigated, giving the optimal processing parameters for Bessel laser writing of GO. The line width, resistance, and sheet resistance of the rGO electrode are stable at a defocusing distance within ±1.00 mm. Defocusing also proves to be effective in reducing the ablation region during the fabrication process. The temperature and humidity responses of the electrodes are examined, focusing on those fabricated with typical defocusing settings, and the related mechanisms are discussed. Proof-of-principle rGO/GO/rGO humidity sensors are demonstrated, and were one-step fabricated using a Bessel beam with both focusing and defocusing settings. The corresponding humidity response results evidence that rGO humidity sensors can be fabricated using a Bessel beam, even in the defocusing cases. The investigation into the Bessel-beam-based laser fabrication technique offers promising prospects for rapid, flexible, and cost-effective production of graphene-based humidity sensors. Meanwhile, the study of defocusing may enhance the fabrication stability to withstand defocusing conditions effectively. Copyright © 2023 Ruo-Zhou Li et al.

Scan chain insertion is a widely used technique in design for testability (DFT), which brings high fault coverage, good controllability and observability to chip testing. But for the encryption chip, the attacker can use the scan chain to carry out side channel attack on the chip, and leak the encrypted data in the chip. In order to ensure the security of the chip, scholars in this field have done a lot of research. They exposed the attackers against the AES hardware encryption algorithm attack methods, and put forward a series of corresponding security countermeasures, such as complex DFT structure, modify scan chain structure, scan I/O restriction and so on. In this paper, we deeply analyze and summarize the attack methods and security countermeasures commonly used at present, compares their advantages and disadvantages and limitations, and briefly analyze the development of secure DFT technology in the future.

On secrecy outage probability for downlink NOMA systems with relay-antenna selection

Secure transmission is essential for future non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system. This paper investigates relay-antenna selection (RAS) to enhance physical-layer security (PLS) of cooperative NOMA system in the presence of an eavesdropper, where multiple antennas are deployed at the relays, the users, and the eavesdropper. In order to reduce expense on radio frequency (rf) chains, selection combining (SC) is employed at both the relays and the users, whilst the eavesdropper employs either maximal-ratio combining (MRC) or selection combining (SC) to process the received signals. Under the condition that the channel state information (CSI) of the eavesdropping channel is available or unavailable, two effective relay-antenna selection schemes are proposed. Additionally, the closed-form expressions of secrecy outage probability (SOP) are derived for the proposed relay-antenna selection schemes. In order to gain more deep insights on the derived results, the asymptotic performance of the derived SOP is analyzed. In simulations, it is demonstrated that the theoretical results match well with the simulation results and the SOP of the proposed schemes is less than that of the conventional orthogonal multiple access (OMA) scheme obviously. © 2021, CC BY.

Longitudinal electric field ( E L ) optimization is a widely applied approach to improve the carrier transport efficiency of semiconductor devices such as field-effect transistors (FETs). However, rigorous analysis to determine the optimal E L distribution remains a major challenge. By developing a physical model and investigating the impact of the E L distribution on the carrier transport efficiency, this work proves that an even E L distribution is the optimal case. To verify the model, FETs with various gate structures are designed and studied. The results show that the current driving capability of FETs can be improved by achieving a more uniform E L distribution along the channel direction. In addition, the use of multi-material gate architecture can produce a quasi-even E L distribution and thus performs the greatest current performance. Besides, various FET structures that feature the even E L distribution are discussed as well. More importantly, our results show that the constant- E L scaling can be implemented via the even E L , which exhibits potential in relieving the threshold voltage shift and achieving the maximum current performance. © 2022, The Authors. In this paper, the GEP method is utilized to derive an ontological model for creep data, focusing on the mechanical properties and structural deformation mechanisms of solder at different scales. By analyzing the effect of micro-and meso-structural morphology on the material, experimental validation is provided for the construction of an ontological model that depicts the viscoplasticity of Pb- Free solder in detail. Iterative optimization of a larger population of experimental samples will drive the development of a fine-grained intrinsic model that will be supported by solid theoretical and empirical evidence, advancing the field towards deeper understanding and innovation. In this study, the GEP algorithm is used to fit the intrinsic model of solder creep and is shown to have good fitting results. The advantages of GEP in equation model fitting are the simplicity of its heuristic algorithm, the ease of its implementation and its good optimization results. In addition, GEP is highly flexible, adaptable and robust to noisy data. After comparing the experimental data simulations, it is found that GEP is able to accurately analyze and predict in the establishment and optimization of creep model, which brings an important contribution to the field of solder research.

This paper presents a SAR ADC-based temperature sensor in $0.18\mu m$ . In order to expand the temperature measurement range, the improved TSPC register is used in the SAR logic circuit. Meanwhile, the segmented capacitor structure is adopted to reduce the chip area, while the dynamic matching technology is used to reduce the influence of component mismatch on the accuracy. The post-simulation results show that the temperature measurement range of the temperature sensor is -150 ° C-200 ° C, and the temperature measurement accuracy is -3-+4 °C.

This paper describes a 14-GHz 8-bit direct digital synthesizer(DDS)which is implemented using a 0.7-μm InP double hetero-junction bipolar transistor (DHBT) process. The DDS presented uses a sin-weighted nonlinear DAC to achieve a phase-to-amplitude ROM-less architecture which can make the best of speed advantage of the InP DHBT process for medium to large scale mixed signal integrated circuits. A simplified pipelined phase accumulator is used to reduce power consumption. The average value of SFDR of the output signal of the DDS in the Nyquist bandwidth is -24.8 dBc. The circuit integrates 2122 transistors, consumes a power of 2.4-W, and has a Figure of Merit (FOM) of 5.83GHz/W.

Millimeter wave (mmWave) technology can meet the requirements of large amount of data communications among intelligent devices for indoor scenario. With high requirement of throughput, reducing interference in an enclosed region is still a challenge. For indoor scenario, the human bodies are considered as the main blockages besides conventional blockages. In this paper, we present a new system model by exploiting the self-blockage model to capture the effects of human body, while using multi-ball Line of Sight (LOS) link state model to describe the conventional blockage. The combination of the two components provides a more comprehensive and accurate expression of indoor obstruction. We give a closed expression of coverage rate to analyze the system performance. Simulation results show that the proposed model is highly accurate to describe the distribution of blockages for indoor case. Then, we formulate the resource allocation as an optimization problem under this scenario. The target of this optimization is to achieve the maximum throughput by minimizing interference. To reach this goal, an improved Powell Multi Vertex Coloring algorithm (PMVC) is proposed. The throughput raises apparently when we modify this scheme to put more flows in different time-slots evenly. Numerical experiments show that the improved algorithm can achieve higher system throughput than traditional greedy algorithm and Powell Vertex Coloring (PVC) scheme. © 2020, CC BY.
