Secure platooning control plays an important role in enhancing the cooperative driving safety of automated vehicles subject to various security *** paper focuses on the distributed secure control issue of automated vehicles affected by replay attacks.A proportional-integral-observer(PIO)with predetermined forgetting parameters is first constructed to acquire the dynamical information of ***,a time-varying parameter and two positive scalars are employed to describe the temporal behavior of replay *** light of such a scheme and the common properties of Laplace matrices,the closed-loop system with PIO-based controllers is transformed into a switched and time-delayed ***,some sufficient conditions are derived to achieve the desired platooning performance by the view of the Lyapunov stability *** controller gains are analytically determined by resorting to the solution of certain matrix inequalities only dependent on maximum and minimum eigenvalues of communication ***,a simulation example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

The increasing heterogeneity and complexity of the Information Technology infrastructure encompassing hardware and software applications, services and networks, led to complex, unmanageable and insecure systems. Correspondingly, new approaches in regards to the IT infrastructure automation and operation have been investigated. Autonomic computing has been born and successfully launched as a research area in response to the "must have" solutions for the problems above. It approaches subjects such as self-configuration, self- protection, self-healing, and self-optimization. Its ambitious goals in making a computer environment behaving in a self controlled and intelligently guided manner, lead to various approaches such as intelligent systems, control, learning machines and others. In this paper, a special adaptive technique will be used for the implementation of self-provisioning and self- optimization techniques for autonomic computing with applications to server virtualization. The autonomic computing processes are considered as nonlinear uncertain systems with constant linearly parameterized uncertainty. The approach is motivated by the fact that a complex computer system behaves in time in a nonlinear fashion, its parameters having a stochastic variation, and components of the autonomic computing environment might fail from time to time. The architecture of an adaptive robust autonomic computing environment and its implementation specific components is described. The application domain of the autonomic computing technology has been chosen to be a virtual server environment. An application of this autonomic computing solution to server virtualization is presented at the end of this paper.

Autonomic computing aims to embed automation in IT management software such that it can adapt to changes in the configuration, provisioning, protection, and resource utilization variations of the IT infrastructure at run time. It is, therefore, almost natural to consider this control software framework as being designed with control principles in mind. One of the research trends considers autonomic computing as a control system that resolves constraints related to the optimal usage of resources based on external requests made by users or processes in a reactive way. In this paper, a real-time reference architecture is introduced in which components implementing functions of realtime system elements or blocks such as transducers, controllers, and actuators are designed. The architecture of the autonomic computing software also contains components that implement functionalities specific to real-time systems. The transducers, controllers, and actuators are thus connected via realtime pattern components such as concurrency, priority, and reliability patterns.

Virtual machines (VMs) have been increasingly deployed in real-time systems to enhance heterogeneous resource sharing. Despite being isolated for security and prevention of failure propagation, VMs need to communicate with each other to complete certain tasks jointly. A real-time inter-VM communication framework has been proposed based on VirtIO, which is in essence a mechanism of message passing with high latency and low scalability on data amount. In contrary, IVSHMEM implements inter-VM communication with shared memory, which is generally fast and large in throughput. Unfortunately, IVSHMEM does not resolve resource contention between flows and hence cannot be applied in real-time scenarios. In this work, we propose a real-time inter-VM communication framework RTISM built upon shared memory and IVSHMEM. RTISM provides priority-based scheduling and supports mixed-criticality flows. Worst-Case Response Time (WCRT) analysis is reported to bound the end-to-end communication delay and a Limited Priority Assignment (LPA) algorithm is developed to enhance schedulability. Experimental evaluation shows that (i) RTISM has about 4 times higher throughput than the VirtIO-based inter-VM communication framework;(ii) LPA improves schedulability by over 25% compared to the state-of-the-art;(iii) WCRT produces a tight bound. © 2023 IEEE.

Cloud computing is defined as a pool of virtualized computer resources deployed and scaled-out quickly through the rapid provisioning of virtual or physical machines. Virtual machine services offered by cloud utility providers led to the creation of the ecosystem of cloud services as they enable customers to use computing resources based on the dynamic behaviour of the application and of the computer resource used. As the control system approach is more and more accepted by the computer research communities the perspective of implementing an adaptive resource provisioning and optimization looked attractive enough for investing efforts and human resources to move it from the theory benches to experimental implementations.

This article demonstrates results and experiences gained in the area of multilayer internetworking, with emphasis on bandwidth on-demand provisioning as well as resource and restoration management. Behavioral characteristics and numerical results were obtained from a management system prototype implemented and tested in an appropriately adapted commercial WDM environment enhanced with multivendor gigabit IP routers. The management solution, the testbed environment, and a representative evaluation scenario are presented as a means of explaining in detail the results that finally allow a global system assessment.

Advertising attribution is an effective method to measure the effect of various advertisements in the era of Internet advertising. It enables scientific tracking back and refined operation of advertising by quantitatively evaluating the contribution of different advertising channels to reach the target. It is challenging to predict conversion results based on users' journey data accurately, reflect the impact of ads on user conversions, and appropriately assign attribution values to advertising channels. To achieve the above objectives, we propose an advertising attribution method based on a temporal convolutional network with an attention mechanism (Att-TCN). By mining the hidden information in time and attribution channels using the attention mechanism, our proposed method can improve the accuracy of conversion prediction and thus more rationally assign attribution values across channels. Experimental validation on a real dataset obtained from an operational commercial advertising monitoring company shows that our proposed attribution method has better accuracy than other state-of-the-art attribution methods and gives an open-ended approach to attribution value assignment. © 2022 IEEE.

Educational data mining (EDM) offers an effective solution to predict students' course grades in the next term. Conventional grade prediction methods can be viewed as regressing an expectation of the probability distribution of the student's grade, typically called single-value grade prediction. The reliable prediction outcomes of these methods depend on the complete input information related to students. However, next-term grade prediction often encounters the challenge of incomplete input information due to the inaccessibility of future data and the privacy of data. In this scenario, single-value grade prediction struggles to assess students' academic status, as it may not be represented and assessed by relying on a singular expectation value. This limitation increases the risk of misjudgment, and may lead to errors in educational decision-making. Considering the challenge of collecting complete input information, we shift from traditional single-value predictions to forecasting the explicit probability distribution of the course grade. The probability distribution of the grade can assess the students' academic status by providing probabilities corresponding to all possible grade values rather than relying solely on an expectation value, which offers the foundation to support the educators' decision-making. In this article, the course grade distribution prediction (CGDP) model is proposed, aiming to estimate an explicit conditional probability distribution of course grades in the next term. This model can identify at-risk students, offering comprehensive decision-making information for educators and students. To ensure precise distribution predictions, a calibration method is also employed to improve the alignment between predicted and actual probabilities. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed model in early grade warning for undergraduates, based on real university data. © 2020 IEEE.

Nowadays, the establishment of effective methods of QSAR (Quantitative Structure Activity Relationships) to predict the properties of new chemical compounds and directional computational molecular design of drug compounds are the most important and urgent tasks of bioinformatics. The article proposes a technology based on immune network modeling to determine the substance of new drug compounds. There was presented the algorithm for the modeling of the dependences "structure-property" on the example of sulfonamides with different duration of action based on the biological approach of artificial immune systems. There was designed component-oriented approach for computational molecular design of new drug compounds based on immune network modeling. The proposed intelligent technology allows to analyze the hidden (latent) relations between the descriptors, to decrease the training time for the immune network and to use the descriptors of different levels.
