Based on the problem that the storage of data flow lacks structure and the data retrieval speed is slow in some disaster tolerance systems, a structured data storage and high efficient data retrieval model is proposed in this paper. In this model, the circular queue structure is used in the dynamic shared memory buffer pool, which has improved the storage efficiency of real-time data flow;the circular queue data storage structure and an improved B+ tree index structure are used in the hard disk, which has solved the problem that how to store new data when the storage space is full, and improved the data retrieval efficiency in some degree. Test results show that this model has better data storage capacity and faster data retrieval speed. © 2010 IEEE.

This paper shows several security weaknesses of a threshold authenticated encryption scheme. A new threshold authenticated encryption scheme using labor-division signature is proposed without redundancy added to message blocks. On the assumptions of EDDH problems, the proposed scheme is secure against chosen-ciphertext attacks and existentially unforgeable against the chosen- message attacks in the random oracle model.

Automated trust negotiation (ATN) is an approach that establishes mutual trust between strangers wishing to share resources or conduct business by gradually requesting and disclosing digitally signed credentials. Previous work on improving negotiation efficiency mainly focuses on using history negotiation information, which may leak much unnecessary information and cannot improve the negotiation efficiency if both negotiators do not have appropriate history information. Thus in this paper, we enhance the negotiation efficiency from a new aspect adaptive policies. An ATN framework is designed to enhance the negotiation efficiency, which can not only simplify the negotiation process and reduce the number of exchanged credentials and credential validations whenever possible, but also avoid to revealing unnecessary information during negotiations. This framework presents a number of innovative features, such as the support for overlapping virtual organizations (VOs for short) to evaluate trustworthiness level, and the use of fine-grained adaptive policies to adjust policies based on the trustworthiness levels. © 2010 IEEE.

Diversity techniques are very effective tools to increase signal reception quality in Rayleigh fading channels. A novel space-time block coding method for cooperative relay networks is proposed which guarantees full diversity for any number of mobile relays with minimal delay, provided that few bits of feedback from the destination to the source and the relays are available. As in the case of orthogonal space-time block codes, all transmitted symbols are separately decoded both in the relays and the destination. Therefore, decoding complexity is linear. In our proposed scheme, larger number of codes can be generated for improved coding gain. The performance of the proposed scheme is investigated for cooperative communication. It is shown that the new approach provides SNR improvement, and it is more resilient to feedback errors compared to the antenna selection technique on the basis of same number of feedback bits. © 2010 IEEE.

Automated trust negotiation (ATN) is an approach that establishes mutual trust between strangers wishing to share resources or conduct business by gradually requesting and disclosing digitally signed credentials. When designing security schemes and systems in ATN, the negotiation efficiency, which is a desirable property, is not considered sufficiently. In this paper, a useful model of P.E. evaluation is proposed to enhance negotiation efficiency by improving the efficiency of security schemes used in ATN. The useful model of P.E. evaluation is responsible for choosing a most appropriate policy among several alternative policies that can advance a negotiation at the same time, which makes the negotiation more efficient. © 2010 IEEE.

The technique of high-speed network data stream capture has been a main topic of network research. This paper finds out some key technical problems that exist on high-speed network data stream capture and makes some improvements, based on analysis of previous research results. This paper designs and implements a Data Stream Capture System (DSCS) based on multi-queue network interface card (NIC) and multicore processor which has improved system performance a lot by taking advantage of polling, multi-queue and raw device techniques. Test results show that the newly designed system is able to receive packets of 64Byte and 1024Byte, respectively at a rate of 694Mb/s and 930Mb/s. Compared with the current system, the capability of data stream capture is largely improved. © 2010 IEEE.

Providing security for wireless sensor networks is challenging due to the resource limitations of sensor nodes. Leveraging the broadcast nature of wireless communication, we propose a behavior-based approach for attack detection and reporting in WSNs. In our approach, some ADS capable nodes are chosen for judging the behavior of their neighbors and conveying alarms to an administration sink when attacks are detected. We prove that the optimal selection of ADS capable nodes for minimum resource consumption is a NP-hard problem and present two heuristic algorithms for it. We also prove the effectiveness of our approach through extensive simulation experiments. © 2010 IEEE.

The performance of transmit antenna selection is investigated. The exact closed-form expressions for the average BER and average SNR in MRT systems and EGT systems are proposed. The minimum number of increased transmit antennas sufficient to compensate the performance loss for using part of transmit antennas is analyzed. The validity of the performance analysis is demonstrated by computer simulation. © 2010 IEEE.

A new construction method for polyphase sequences with two-valued periodic auto- and crosscorrelation functions is proposed. This method gives L families of polyphase sequences for each prime length L which is bigger than three. For each family of sequences, the out-of-phase auto- and crosscorrelation functions are proved to be constant and asymptotically reach the Sarwate bound. Furthermore, it is shown that sequences of each family are mutually orthogonal. Copyright © 2010 The Institute of Electronics, information and Communication Engineers.
