Protein function annotation is an important content of bioinformatics. It is unrealistic to experimentally annotate a large number of protein functions, so automated prediction of the functions of proteins is required. Studying plant proteins can help us cultivate new plant varieties. However, the existing methods mainly aim at predicting the single function of plant proteins. Most proteins only have sequence information. Therefore, the multi-function prediction method of plant protein based on sequence has become the focus of research. In this study, we propose a method based on sequence to predict the function of plant proteins, called PlantGO. We describe the functional annotation problem as a multi-label classification problem using Gene Ontology (GO) terminology, and predict multiple functions for plant proteins. PlantGO extracts features from three aspects and performs feature fusion respectively. To avoid redundant information in features, PlantGO uses the random forest to select features and obtains three groups of optimal features. PlantGO uses a multi-label learning algorithm MLKNN to predict protein function, which proves the effectiveness and accuracy of the algorithm. Finally, PlantGO adopts the ensemble learning method to integrate all models into a unified model, further improving the prediction performance. Therefore, PlantGO has achieved excellent performance. The performance metrics are Accuracy (0.936), F1 Score (0.944), Ranking loss (0.011), which is better than the previous method in the independent test. We have developed an online server to predict the functions of plant proteins. © 2022 IEEE.

In the field of biometric identification, fingerprints, as one of the most unique and persistent biometric features, are widely used for identification. With the popularity of fingerprint recognition in society, how to quickly retrieval fingerprints is a challenging task in large-scale databases. In order to ensure the accuracy of fingerprints retrieval , we propose a new retrieval model based on minutia features. We introduce fuzzy C-means clustering algorithm and Dijkstra *** C-means clustering is used to extract the detail point features in the fingerprint, Dijkstra algorithm to solve the shortest path of the minutia *** number of features and the shortest path distance are compared to determine whether the fingerprints are the same. In this way, our method can achieve fast retrieval. In addition, we conducted extensive experiments on a large-scale datasets and tested the correctness of the experiments by different filtering levels to demonstrate the superiority of our method for fingerprint retrieval.

Object detection algorithms can assist in detecting the helmet-wearing status of electric bicycle riders, thereby saving regulatory manpower costs. However, there is currently a lack of standardized and publicly available datasets. Additionally, the basic YOLOv5s object detection algorithm, due to its limited feature extraction capabilities, may lead to numerous instances of both false negative and false positive. To enhance the model’s focus on critical information within the feature maps, this paper introduces the CBAM attention mechanism module into the Backbone section of YOLOv5s. This module sequentially infers attention maps from the input feature maps along both channel and spatial dimensions independently, and then multiplies these attention maps with the input feature maps to achieve adaptive feature optimization. This paper have established self-built dataset for experimental research, and the results indicate that compared to the original YOLOv5s model, the proposed method has improved the model’s overall mAP score by 1.89%. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Recently,Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)have become very popular research topics which are applied to many *** provide pervasive computing services and techniques in various potential applications for the Internet of Things(IoT).An Asynchronous Clustering and Mobile data Gathering based on Timer Mechanism(ACMDGTM)algorithm is proposed which would mitigate the problem of“hot spots”among sensors to enhance the lifetime of *** clustering process takes sensors’location and residual energy into consideration to elect suitable cluster ***,one mobile sink node is employed to access cluster heads in accordance with the data overflow time and moving time from cluster heads to *** experimental results display that the presented method can avoid long distance communicate between sensor ***,this algorithm reduces energy consumption effectively and improves package delivery rate.

Dynamic Behavior of COVID-19 Model with Secondary Vaccination Driven by Mixed Noise

This paper mainly studies the dynamical behavior of the COVID-19 model driven by mixed noise. Firstly, we establish a stochastic model of COVID-19 based on secondary vaccination, white noise and Levý noise. Secondly, the existence and uniqueness of the global positive solution of the stochastic model are proved using the theory of stochastic differential equations and Lyapunov function, then the asymptotic behavior of the disease-free equilibrium point is studied. Thirdly, the sufficient conditions for the extinction of the disease are obtained and the analysis showed that different noise intensity could affect the extinction of infectious disease. Finally, the theoretical results are verified by numerical simulation. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Today, thanks to the major breakthrough of sequences to sequences model in the field of natural language, most of the dialogue generation tasks are focused on generating more effective responses. However, the responses proposed by the chat-bot are only a passive answer or assentation, which does not arouse the desire of people to continue communicating. How to transform the chat robot from a passive reply to an active questioner has become an urgent problem. In this paper, a question generalization method with four types of question proposing schemes are designed, implemented, and tested to automate question generation process. The proposed system is controlled by a probability-triggered multiple conversion mechanism to actively propose different types of questions. We embed our methods in the mainstream dialogue generation model and demonstrate its effectiveness in dialogue response generalization on a standard dataset. In addition, it achieves good performance in subjective conversational assessment. © 2019 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

The Area Under the ROC Curve (AUC) is a well-known metric for evaluating instance-level long-tail learning problems. In the past two decades, many AUC optimization methods have been proposed to improve model performance under long-tail distributions. In this paper, we explore AUC optimization methods in the context of pixel-level long-tail semantic segmentation, a much more complicated scenario. This task introduces two major challenges for AUC optimization techniques. On one hand, AUC optimization in a pixel-level task involves complex coupling across loss terms, with structured inner-image and pairwise inter-image dependencies, complicating theoretical analysis. On the other hand, we find that mini-batch estimation of AUC loss in this case requires a larger batch size, resulting in an unaffordable space complexity. To address these issues, we develop a pixel-level AUC loss function and conduct a dependency-graph-based theoretical analysis of the algorithm's generalization ability. Additionally, we design a Tail-Classes Memory Bank (T-Memory Bank) to manage the significant memory demand. Finally, comprehensive experiments across various benchmarks confirm the effectiveness of our proposed AUCSeg method. In order to achieve more efficient and accurate DDoS detection while ensuring data privacy, this paper proposes a DDoS detection method based on FLAD. Firstly, this paper uses the FLAD algorithm to train a global DDoS detection model without leaving local traffic data, protecting the privacy and security of traffic data between different hosts, and improving aggregation efficiency by dynamically adjusting the aggregation weights to adapt to different sub-dataset increments. Secondly, a DDoS traffic detection method based on the integration of LSTM and CNN is proposed, which extracts and analyzes the temporal correlation of traffic data by calculating the statistical characteristics of traffic data within a time period, to achieve real-time detection of traffic feature data. Again, combined with the concept of SDN, real-time defense against DDoS based on ODL-API is implemented, and precise matching of DDoS detection results with network entity information is achieved, realizing the technology of real-time and precise issuance of multiple flow rules, effectively blocking DDoS malicious attack traffic, protecting important entities in the topology, and maintaining stable traffic in the topology. This paper focuses on solving the detection problem of DDoS traffic data increments and uneven data distribution through the FLAD algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves the accuracy of DDoS attack detection by more than 4% and the F1 Score by more than 7% compared to the FedAvg aggregation algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper introduces the Temporal Transform Network based on Scale Sequences (TTS) for cloth-changing person re-identification in video datasets. The TTS network is designed to capture multi-scale temporal cues within video sequences. It accomplishes this by initially modeling short-term temporal cues between adjacent frames, followed by capturing long-term relationships between non-consecutive frames. In more detail, short-term temporal cues are modeled through parallel inflated convolutions with different time dilation rates, enabling the representation of pedestrian movement and appearance dynamics. Long-term relationships are effectively captured using a temporal self-attention model, mitigating challenges such as occlusion and noise within the video sequence. The TTS network outperforms existing methods across cloth-changing video ReID datasets such as CCVID. For instance, under general settings, our approach exhibits a 1.1% improvement in top-1 accuracy and a corresponding 1.1% increase in mAP compared to the baseline. In cloth-changing settings, we observe a 0.2% enhancement in top-1 accuracy and a notable 1.3% increase in mAP relative to the baseline. © 2023 IEEE.

Kinship verification is one of the interesting and critical problems in computer vision research, with significant progress in the past decades. Meanwhile, Vision Transformer (VIT) has recently achieved impressive success in many domains, including object detection, image recognition, and semantic segmentation, among others. Most of the previous work on kinship verification are based on convolutional or recurrent neural networks. Compared with the local processing of images like convolutions, transformers can effectively understand and process images globally. However, due to overuse, there are many Transformer layers of fully connected layers, and VIT speed is still an issue. Therefore, in this paper, inspired by the recent success of Transformer models in vision tasks, we propose a Transformer-based kinship verification for training and optimizing kinship verification models. We first train the basic vision transformer (VIT-B) with 12 transformer layers, then we reduce the transformer layers to 6 layers, namely VIT-S (Small Vit) and 4 layers, namely VIT-T (Tiny Vit), to make a tradeoff between optimization accuracy and efficiency. As the first attempt to apply Transformer to the kinship verification task, it provides a feasible strategy for kinship research topics and verifies the effectiveness of the method in terms of the accuracy of the experimental results. © 2022 IEEE.
