She received the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in 2000. She is currently a full-time professor at the Postgraduate Studies Section of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School (National Polytechnic Institute). Her research interests include nonlinear systems dynamics and control control of electromechanical systems and real time control applications.
