The New Space technology Test Satellite (SY-01) is scheduled to carry out its first flight with a Chinese aerospace rocket, carrying multiple payloads to carry out space scientific exploration missions. SY-01 can carry multiple payloads to carry out space exploration missions. Among them, the High Energy Burst Researcher (HEBS) is one of the important payloads on the satellite. It will monitor the high-energy electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events throughout the day and discover large samples of gamma-ray bursts. This paper mainly introduces the ground test experiment of the HEBS payload gamma-ray detector (GRD) and studies energy resolution and energy linearity in the range of (38-80)keV. The test results show that the GRD has good performance in the low-energy region, which can meet the requirements of monitoring gravitational wave gamma-ray bursts on-orbit. © 2021 IEEE.

We have recently introduced a novel self-collimation (SC) concept for SPECT imaging, which utilizes detectors also as collimators to overcome the resolution-sensitivity trade-off innate to mechanical collimators. In this work, we report a prototype SC-SPECT system dedicated for high-resolution small animal *** prototype consists of four concentric detector rings with spatially separated scintillators and a high-aperture-ratio tungsten ring, where each detector ring is collimated by other inner detector rings and the tungsten ring. The four detector rings have inner diameters of 260 mm, 390 mm, 520 mm, and 650 mm, and consist of 480, 720, 960, and 1,200 GAGG(Ce) scintillators, respectively. The scintillators are 0.84 mm (tangential) × 6 mm (radial) × 20 mm (axial) in size, evenly separated by a 0.84 mm gap in the tangential direction. The four detector rings are constructed with 40 detector modules, each covering a 9° angular region and comprising 42 detector units. In each detector unit, two scintillators are optically coupled to four SiPMs on the axial ends to determine photons’ axial interaction position with the depth-of-interaction technique; the decay time constants of the two scintillators are 90 ns and 200 ns, respectively, allowing for crystal identification with pulse shape discrimination. The tungsten ring has an inner diameter of 75 mm, an axial length of 290 mm, and a thickness of 2.5 mm, with 200 circular apertures (D = 0.4 mm) evenly distributed on the central transverse plane with a center-to-center distance of 1.2 *** results show that the prototype has a sensitivity of 0.064% at the center of the field-of-view. In the transverse plane, it can clearly resolve 5 × 5 point sources with a diameter of 0.36 mm and a center-to-center distance of 0.36 mm. Axially, it can clearly resolve point sources with a diameter of 0.4 mm and a center-to-center distance of 0.6 mm. A comprehensive performance evaluation is currently underway.

The ground-based calibration of the spectrometer onboard the astronomical satellite is extremely basic and important for the payload to complete the detection missions and achieve the scientific goals. With an excellent determination of the responsive relationship such as energy-channel relation, energy resolution, detection efficiency, and the non-uniformity of the detector, the observational data in orbit of the payload can be analyzed effectively and reasonably. The research has implemented the calibration campaign of a NaI(Tl) detector named GRD05, which is the main detector of the gamma-ray monitor (GRM) onboard the Space-based multiband astronomical Variable Objects Monitor(SVOM) satellite, utilizing a single-crystal monochromatic hard X-ray beam with the range of 15-40 keV. According to the data analysis results, the energy response and detection efficiency of the GRD05 are in good agreement with the expected output by Monte Carlo simulations. © 2021 IEEE.

Inspired by parallel system theory, a novel parallel tracking controller is presented for discrete-time linear systems in this paper. The core point is to model the time derivative of system control, which makes the control system and the control law completely equivalent in mathematical form. First, the architecture of discrete-time linear parallel tracking control is introduced. Then, in the sight of the reachability of control systems, the pole assignment theorems are given. The merits of this presented method comparing with traditional feedback control are analyzed. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of gamma irradiation on the storage quality of Morchella angusticeps, specifically focusing on nutritional quality and physicochemical properties. The mushrooms were exposed to doses of 1, 2, 3, and 4 kGy, and their properties were analyzed under storage conditions of 4°C. The results indicated that different irradiation doses had varying effects on the nutritional quality and physicochemical properties of Morchella angusticeps during storage. At doses of 1 and 2 kGy, the content of phenolic compounds increased, while the activity of peroxidase and catalase decreased. Consequently, browning and softening were effectively delayed. Furthermore, with increased storage time, soluble protein content exhibited a downward trend. However, the 1 and 2 kGy irradiation doses effectively reduced the decomposition of soluble protein. As the irradiation dose increased, the content of aldehydes initially increased and then decreased. In addition, the fatty acid content exhibited an increase at irradiation doses of 1 and 2 kGy. During the storage period, the release of unsaturated fatty acids was promoted, particularly in the later stages. Furthermore, the shrinkage of Morchella angusticeps increased over time. However, a dose of 1 kGy was found to effectively maintain cell morphology. The experimental results demonstrated that treatment with 1 and 2 kGy irradiation doses effectively delayed the quality loss of the fruiting body and inhibited browning-related enzyme activities. This study highlights the potential of irradiation as a method to preserve the storage quality of Morchella angusticeps. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In practical applications like quantum sensing and quantum imaging, there is often a necessity to estimate multiple parameters simultaneously. Although the ultimate precision limits for single-parameter estimation are well established, the precision limit of multi-parameter estimation is much less understood. This is primarily due to the inherent incompatibility of the optimal strategies for the estimation of different parameters, particularly those pertaining to optimal control. In this study, we tackle the critical issue of control incompatibility in multi-parameter estimation by presenting explicit cases that expose this challenge. Our research not only pioneers the exploration of control incompatibility but also highlights its pivotal role in the field. Furthermore, our work offers valuable insights into how to minimize trade-offs induced by control incompatibility and enhance precision. This paves the way for future investigations into control strategies that enable optimal estimation of multiple parameters that are incompatible. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Smart substation auxiliary control system (SSACS) is an important part of the smart substation. Among them, the national grid technical standards have made corresponding provisions on the function, composition, communication, etc. of the auxiliary control system, but they are relatively general. And there are some differences in the division, functions, access methods, and other aspects of the subsystem. At the same time, there are great differences in the product realization of various manufacturers, which brings serious problems to the operation and maintenance of smart substations. A simulation-based test framework is proposed to design a test system for the smart substation auxiliary control system to strictly test the whole system. All the devices and IEC 61850 protocols are tested by the proposed simulators. The experiment results show the test system can effectively test the auxiliary control system.

As an important part of battery health management, accurate prediction on remaining useful life of lithium-ion battery can maintain and replace the batteries in advance to guarantee the safety and stability of the energy storage system. Most extant models use a single model throughout the entire stage for prediction, which may lead to the decrease of the accuracy for subsequent prediction due to insufficient learning, as well as disability to predict battery remaining useful life with data from other batteries. To solve these issues, a segmented prediction model of lithium-ion battery remaining useful life is proposed. In this method, the knee point of the capacity decline curve is detected and then long short-term memory and support vector regression models are used to predict the remaining useful life before and after the knee point, respectively. The experimental prediction results represent that the proposed method achieves higher prediction accuracy compared with long short-term memory method.

This study investigates the impact of roughness elements on fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics in narrow rectangular channels. The results show that when the fluid flows over roughness elements, it induces vortices near the wall, disturbing the flow and heat transfer boundary layers. This enhances heat transfer while simultaneously increasing flow resistance. Among different roughness types, cylindrical roughness elements demonstrate a more substantial improvement in both heat transfer efficiency and friction factor compared to cubic elements. The Nusselt number is found to be non-monotonic related to the height of the roughness elements, while the friction factor increases with height. Additionally, larger roughness element diameters lead to higher Nusselt numbers and friction factors. Further analysis reveals that under conditions where the spacing and height remain unchanged, an increase in the roughness elements quantity results in a diminished enhancement of heat transfer. The base edge length of the roughness elements has a more significant impact on heat transfer capacity than the additional heated area, while the additional area primarily affects the flow resistance, causing the friction factor to increase with the number of roughness elements.
