Cr1-xAlx coatings with different low Al content were prepared on Zr alloy by magnetron sputtering. The influence of Al content on the microstructure, mechanical properties, surface wettability and oxidation resistance of the Cr1-xAlx coating was systematically evaluated. Air oxidation results show that a Cr91.4Al8.6 coating shows better air oxidation resistance. After steam oxidation tests, a Cr2O3-rich and Al2O3rich double oxide layer is found to be formed in the Cr91.4Al8.6 coating. The Al2O3rich layer can effectively prevent the surface Cr2O3 layer from being consumed by Zr diffusion along the Cr grain boundary and maintain stable double oxide structure, which improve the durability of the coating. Moreover, the diffusion evolution mechanism for the Al element during steam oxidation of the Cr91.4Al8.6 coating was analyzed in detail. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In recent years, forest fires have been frequent, leading to many major casualties and major losses to the national economy, but also affect the operational safety of the power grid. When forest fires occur, in addition to external weather and human factors, whether it is caused by grid line failure is also a controversial issue when finding the cause of the accident. In the paper, three common tree discharge characteristics under 35 kV transmission lines in Sichuan are studied, and a test platform and test program are designed to study the discharge characteristics of trees near the line and the fault characteristics of trees hitching on the transmission line circuit due to external factors, analyze the causes of related accidents, and propose the identification basis for the sequence of hill fires and line faults. The current range of trees ignited by tree grounding within 20 minutes is also obtained to provide ideas for later anti-accident measures. A theoretical model of tree grounding fault is proposed, which can predict the magnitude of tree grounding leakage current.

Transmission lines often passed through forests. When the climate is hot and before and after the Tomb-sweeping Day every year, mountain fire accidents often occur, which affects the transmission lines. The most important impact is the tripping of the transmission lines, which seriously affects the safe operation of the power grid influences. This paper builds a test platform for the influence of smoke on the insulation of transmission lines, designs a smoke test plan, conducts an experimental study on the influence of smoke on the air insulation characteristics of transmission lines, and verifies the smoke concentration on single-phase, three-phase and inter-phase insulation through experiments. The influence of character-This article judges whether it has an influence on the insulation characteristics of transmission lines by observing the relative leakage current of smoke. The effect of smoke on the breakdown voltage was verified through experiments. Through comparative experiments at different temperatures, it was studied whether mountain fire smoke would affect the air insulation characteristics. Experimental studies have shown that pure smoke has little effect on the insulation characteristics of transmission lines.

In this work, the Si3N4 nano-particles were dispersed in organic hybrid damping materials to enhance the mechanical properties, and the effect of surface silylation on Si3N4 was also studied. The hydrogen bond networks were formed via the interactions of AO-80 small organic molecules (phenolic hydroxyl groups). In the composites, the Young’s modulus and hydrogen bond interaction were verified by molecular dynamics simulation, which was in high consistent with the experimental results. For the surface-treated fillers, there were hydrogen bond networks in both XNBR/sin system and XNBR/AO-80 system, and the hydrogen bond network in the composites could contribute to better dispersion of Si3N4 and improvement of mechanical properties.

High impedance fault(HIF), especially tree contact single-phase-to-ground fault(TSF), often occurs in resonant grounding systems and are difficult to detect. Therefore, there is an urgent need for an effective TSF detection technology. In this paper, by analyzing the equivalent circuits of different impedance faults in resonant grounding system, and analyzing the transient zero-sequence components of underdamped state and overdamped state under different impedance, the conclusion is drawn: When a TSF occurs, the transient zero-sequence voltage will have a unique " Beat frequency " characteristic, and the problem of covering this phenomenon due to the imbalance of distribution network is effectively solved by fast independent component analysis(FastICA). Based on this conclusion, A fault detection method for TSF based on FastICA is proposed. Finally, the study conducted real experiments using two different impedance trees, bamboo and pine, to verify the proposed detection method. The results of the experiment found clear support for that the detection method is accurate and effective. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The energy calibration of LaBr3(Ce) detector is carried out by using the experimental methods of standard radioactive source, K fluorescence X-rays source and crystal diffraction monochromatic X-rays source, and the energy calibration curve is given. The calibration results using K fluorescence X-rays source and crystal diffraction monochromatic X-rays source are close to the calibration results of standard radioactive source, which verifies the rationality and reliability of the two experimental methods for the detector energy linear calibration. Using the fitting formula obtained by K fluorescence X-rays source and crystal diffraction monochromatic X-rays source, the relative error between the energy fitting value and the real value of Pb-210, Am-241, Cd-109 and Co-57 radioactive sources is less than 3.5%. For the detection of the energy range of (30–120) keV, the LaBr3(Ce) detector can basically determine the energy of the measured ray.

The PandaX-4T liquid xenon detector at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory is used to measure the solar B8 neutrino flux by detecting neutrinos through coherent scattering with xenon nuclei. Data samples requiring the coincidence of scintillation and ionization signals (paired), as well as unpaired ionization-only signals (US2), are selected with energy threshold of approximately 1.1 keV (0.33 keV) nuclear recoil energy. Combining the commissioning run and the first science run of PandaX-4T, a total exposure of 1.20 and 1.04 tonne·year are collected for the paired and US2, respectively. After unblinding, 3 and 332 events are observed with an expectation of 2.8±0.5 and 251±32 background events, for the paired and US2 data, respectively. A combined analysis yields a best-fit B8 neutrino signal of 3.5 (75) events from the paired (US2) data sample, with ∼37% uncertainty, and the background-only hypothesis is disfavored at 2.64σ significance. This gives a solar B8 neutrino flux of (8.4±3.1)×106 cm−2 s−1, consistent with the standard solar model prediction. It is also the first indication of solar B8 neutrino “fog” in a dark matter direct detection experiment.

Urban Flooding Risk Assessment Based on Numerical Simulation of Sub-catchment Area: A Case Study From Chengdu, China

Urbanization and climate change usually result in frequent urban flooding. Since the floods cannot be avoided, the scenario simulation combined with risk analysis is an effective way to assess the disaster level and reduce direct damage loss when facing the emergency management problems. Different from the whole city dimension, the paper proposed a sub-catchment multi-index hesitant fuzzy evaluation model for the community planning level, and takes Jinjiang District of Chengdu city as the research object. Firstly, based on the PSR (Pressure-State-Response) model, the risk assessment system has been established in three aspects, including the current situation of urban drainage, the basic geographic information, and the social influence. Secondly, A total of 14 evaluation indexes were selected, among which the pressure index came from the calculation results of ArcGIS and EPASWMM5 model such as runoff coefficient, maximum water depth, etc. Thirdly, the expert hesitate fuzzy evaluation method was used to obtain the weight of 14 indexes of each sub-catchment. Finally, the 224 evaluation results were compared, and the urban flooding disaster risk map has been drawn. It is mainly concluded that 160 medium-higher risk areas were mainly concentrated in high built-up area in study area. Furthermore, the evaluation model is very useful as a decision-making tool for mitigation of the flood hazard and its associated risk. © 2021, CC BY.

The hottest area of indoor localization technology research right now is WiFi localization. This research provides a prediction model based on BP neural network, with the model’s weights and thresholds tuned using snake optimization technique, for the demand of WiFi location fingerprint indoor localization technology. The issues that BP neural network has with easy local optimum attainment, slow convergence, and weak interference immunity are resolved. The simulation is used to confirm the viability and efficiency of the indoor WiFi localization technology method.

High entropy alloys (HEAs) are considered as potential accident tolerant fuel (ATF) coatings due to their excellent properties. However, there is still a lack of understanding about the effects of irradiation on the steam oxidation behavior, which hinders the design of advanced ATF HEAs coatings. In the current work, the steam oxidation behavior of Au ions irradiated AlCrNbTiZr HEA coatings was investigated. It is found that irradiation changes the high-temperature steam oxidation behavior of the material primarily by enhancing elemental diffusion. Irradiation accelerated oxidation by increasing the diffusion rate and depth of oxygen (O). Irradiation optimized the phase composition of the surface oxide layer by enhancing outward diffusion of Ti, thereby releasing releases the growth stress of oxides and avoids cracking and peeling of the surface oxide layer. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.
