Parkinson’s disease(PD),one of whose symptoms is dysphonia,is a prevalent neurodegenerative *** use of outdated diagnosis techniques,which yield inaccurate and unreliable results,continues to represent an obstacle in early-stage detection and diagnosis for clinical professionals in the medical *** solve this issue,the study proposes using machine learning and deep learning models to analyze processed speech signals of patients’voice *** of these processed speech signals were obtained and experimented on by random forest and logistic regression *** were highly successful,with 90%accuracy produced by the random forest classifier and 81.5%by the logistic regression ***,a deep neural network was implemented to investigate if such variation in method could add to the *** proved to be effective,as the neural network yielded an accuracy of nearly 92%.Such results suggest that it is possible to accurately diagnose early-stage PD through merely testing patients’*** research calls for a revolutionary diagnostic approach in decision support systems,and is the first step in a market-wide implementation of healthcare software dedicated to the aid of clinicians in early diagnosis of PD.

With the growing demands for Precision Agriculture (PA) in Indonesia, researchers have evaluated the utilization of Machine Learning for predicting oil palm yields and determining variables affecting them. Previous studies showed that meteorological variables, including rainfalls and wind speed, are associated with oil palm yields. In this research, the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) model and the Shapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) were deployed for analyzing the importance of 15 agrometeorological variables in predicting oil palm yield. The best model attained 1.911 RMSE and 0.855 RRʹ. By analyzing the weights and gains of the XGBoost model along with the SHAP values, it was found that the yield in the previous year, the age and number of plants, the area of peat lands, and meteorological parameters such as rainfall rates and the number of rainy days in the previous three years were considered important. The previous year's yield in particular possesses the greatest weight and gain values according to the model, and the highest SHAP value among all input variables. However, the meteorological data used in this research are only limited to rainfall rates and the number of rainy days. In the future, more diverse variables can be analyzed. © 2023 The Authors. An accurate predictive model of temperature and humidity plays a vital role in many industrial processes that utilize a closed space such as in agriculture and building management. With the exceptional performance of deep learning on time-series data, developing a predictive temperature and humidity model with deep learning is propitious. In this study, we demonstrated that deep learning models with multivariate time-series data produce remarkable performance for temperature and relative humidity prediction in a closed space. In detail, all deep learning models that we developed in this study achieve almost perfect performance with an R value over 0.99. © 2023 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

At the moment, weather data is crucial for supporting neighborhood activities. The economy and trade are both centered in Jakarta, which is also Indonesia's capital. Therefore, it is crucial to have access to weather information so that these activities don't get disrupted, which would then hinder commercial and trade activity. Social media has been a very popular tool for spreading information recently. Particularly on Instagram, where users favor taking images and sharing the information they encounter. @jktinfo is the Instagram account that posts information about the situation in Jakarta and the area, including the current weather. The @jktinfo account is utilized in this project to gather data. Utilizing a variety of techniques, the collected photographs of sunny, cloudy, and wet situations were. © 2023 The Authors. This research develops a conceptual model to understand the influence of digitalization on social learning, especially in the context of community empowerment. This model maps the relationship between factors that influence success, challenges faced, and variations in the use of digital platforms in social learning. By using a literature study approach, the research results show that effective communication, collaboration and empowerment are the main keys to the success of social learning in society. Key challenges identified include limited access to information, resource constraints, and digital literacy barriers, all of which require specific strategies to overcome. By examining the relationship between success factors, challenges, and use of digital platforms, this research provides new insights that support the development of more effective strategies for using digital technology to support social learning that leads to community empowerment. This research has great potential to increase people's access to learning opportunities and information, allowing them to be more active in the social learning process. © 2024 IEEE.

In the field of bioinformatics, the protein Post-Translational Modification (PTM) site prediction has been widely studied and Web Information Systems (WIS) has been deployed by researchers for this task. Through a literature review and benchmarking process, we identified the requirements which included quick predictions, efficient memory usage, and input validations. However, no detailed designs have been proposed so far, which may have contributed to some requirements not being implemented in some of the websites. Therefore, we propose a detailed WIS conceptual design, which can be used for predicting the sites of multiple PTM types, equipped with a validation algorithm and compared the usage of various string searching algorithms as well as file storage formats. Experiment results showed that the linear search algorithm is the fastest for this task and storing the protein data in npz format when performing multi-PTMs site prediction can assist in reducing memory usage. The proposed design can be implemented into user-friendly web tools that are both efficient in speed and memory usage in future studies. © 2022 IEEE.

Understanding the mechanistic interpretability of mutation effects in a protein can help predict the clinical implications of the genetic variants. Hence, computational variant effect predictions that involve protein structural features of the protein mutations might be suitable in this case. In this work, we focus on BRCT domains of BRCA1 gene that is widely studied in breast cancer studies. We retrieved 88 selected missense variants found in BRCT domains annotated in both ClinVar and gnomAD databases. To computationally characterize the pathogenic property of the mutations we used two types of features extracted from protein structures: a change in free Gibbs energy and a set of features derived from molecular dynamics simulations of each mutant. Using a dimensional reduction and Gaussian mixture model (GMM)-based clustering we demonstrate that the variants are segregated into two regions that may correspond to their pathogenic status. This method can be a potential computational pipeline for providing the preliminary mechanistic interpretation of mutation effects in terms of their thermodynamic and structural features. © 2023 IEEE.

Childhood stunting is a condition anticipated to affect the growth potential of children under the age of five. With numerous stunting researches that have been conducted, stunting datasets are now widely available to facilitate stunting research. This provides an opportunity to implement machine learning (ML) principles to produce a broader insight or a novel technique in stunting prediction. A systematic literature review is necessary to discover the landscape of machine learning implementation in the application domain as a preliminary study for creating an effective research roadmap. This paper presents a systematic literature review (SLR) of 22 curated manuscripts that focuses on identifying the ML models applied in stunting research, as well as the datasets used in such studies that were published during 2017-2022. The SLR process found that ML principles have been applied in stunting research since 2017, and the diversity of ML implementation has become more varied in 2021-2022. In terms of ML models, XGBoost and Random Forest are recognized as the two most utilized models, and stunting prediction is the most common ML implementation. The majority of stunting research utilizing ML has been conducted in Indonesia. Although national survey data has been the most commonly utilized dataset in stunting research, researchers in Indonesia have shown a preference for utilizing data from regional or independent surveys. This study will be followed by developing a classifier model for stunted children using XGBoost and Random Forest algorithms. The model will be trained on a dataset generated from StuntingDB. © 2023 IEEE.

The Ministry of Health of Indonesia has referred to pre-eclampsia as one of the most severe diseases affecting women. As an urgency, it is crucial to administrate pre-eclampsia cases for disease prevention as a long-term national healthcare strategy. Regarding health science, case data was significant in developing research and innovation. However, the main problem regarding pre-eclampsia case administration is data handling, recording, and management incompetence. Hence, this research proposed a conceptual design of a database for pre-eclampsia case administration. The proposed design covered conceptual, logical, and physical design. We elaborate the concept into three concepts of pre-eclampsia disease: pre-treatment, treatment, and post-treatment. This study proposed a solution to gain more data and study pre-eclampsia disease in Indonesia. © 2023 IEEE.

Following the evolution of technology, researchers have conducted several studies to propose reliable scholarship recommender systems. However, few have explored the data storage systems, which are highly beneficial to collect huge volumes of real data in training the recommender systems. In this paper, a database design for collecting such data was proposed, equipped with integer encodings for categorical variables and a method to normalize variables with varying ranges. Using Connoly and Begg's database design method, the final design consisted of a normalized Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and data dictionaries. The design was also constructed to support usages of various data for determining scholarship recipients, including education history, achievements, and organizational experiences. The proposed design can be implemented on information systems to allow easier information access for scholarships in Indonesia. © 2022 IEEE.
