The application of optimization methods to prediction issues is a continually exploring *** line with this,this paper investigates the connectedness between the infected cases of COVID-19 and US fear index from a forecasting *** complex characteristics of implied volatility risk index such as non-linearity structure,time-varying and nonstationarity motivate us to apply a nonlinear polynomial Hammerstein model with known structure and unknown *** use the Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization(HPSO)tool to identify the model parameters of nonlinear polynomial Hammerstein *** indicate that,following a nonlinear polynomial behaviour cascaded to an autoregressive with exogenous input(ARX)behaviour,the fear index in US financial market is significantly affected by COVID-19-infected cases in the US,COVID-19-infected cases in the world and COVID-19-infected cases in China,*** performance indicators provided by the developed models show that COVID-19-infected cases in the US are particularly powerful in predicting the Cboe volatility index compared to COVID-19-infected cases in the world and China(MAPE(2.1013%);R2(91.78%)and RMSE(0.6363 percentage points)).The proposed approaches have also shown good convergence characteristics and accurate fits of the data.

In the latest open radio access network (O-RAN) architecture, the Y1 interface has been introduced to grant authorized parties, known as Y1 consumers, access to and utilization of Y1 data within the near-real-time RAN intelligent controller (Near-RT RIC). The primary objective of enabling communication between Y1 consumers and the Near-RT RIC is to facilitate the introduction of value-added services to O-RAN. This paper comprehensively explores Y1 communications, services, interface, data, and other essential concepts required to understand the subject matter thoroughly. We examine the security and privacy aspects of Y1 communications to ensure that all authorized parties involved in these interactions are equipped to withstand potential threats and vulnerabilities. More importantly, our research proposes a novel architectural framework for Y1 communications that integrates advanced functionalities and specifies secure communication protocols. This framework addresses the limitations of the state-of-the-art Y1 architecture by enhancing its robustness, adaptability, and efficiency. In addition, we outline the procedural flow for Y1 communications within the proposed framework, detailing the functionalities and processes it introduces. Beyond security and privacy procedures, this paper elaborates on the various phases of Y1 communications. Furthermore, a series of experiments are conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed Y1 framework. Our assessment focuses on the authentication and authorization schemes, revealing that the mutual transport layer security (mTLS) 1.3-based certificate-bound access token (CBAT) scheme demonstrated superior performance in ensuring secure and efficient communication. Additionally, the robustness of the proposed architecture is validated by evaluating its functionality in both subscription and query scenarios. Enterprise Architecture (EA) models help enterprise architects to make business decisions and to support organisations to understand and analyse its structure. Creating and maintaining such an EA model is expensive and time-consuming in large organisations. In this paper, the authors provide a review of how graph analytic methods can be used to support EA model maintenance. To achieve the best results for the duplicate identification, it is necessary to evaluate and optimise different graph analytic and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to support the maintenance process. The degradation of Earth's natural resources and environmental health due to improper anthropological activities, mainly through unoptimized food production, is manifested through climate change that negatively alters the productivity in the agricultural sector. Because of this challenge in open terrestrial agriculture, the concept of space farming is believed to be significant in delivering fresh and quality food for the people on top of providing for astronauts and making them healthy in space. However, another problem emerges in the view of circular economy (CE) which is a production and consumption idealism that avoids degradation of natural resources and environment in producing one food unit and despite the collaborative advances in space technology, particularly in astrobotany, the materialization of CE and the absolutism of artificial intelligence (AI) are still partly imaginary. This study employed a bibliometric, scientometric and systematic analysis to highlight the advantages, limitations, and connections of CE, AI, and vertical farming (VF) which led to establishing a technosignature model for sustainable space food production. Here, CE, AI and VF were singularized as a model for sustainable space food production and identified their potential interplay. Based on scientific correlations, it is undoubtedly true that CE, AI, and VF have existing mutualism in Earth-based systems, but the degree of its importance as a whole is not yet completely appreciated for space farming. The developed CE-AI-VF technosignature model is scalable and adaptable if the government and scientific community put it into action accompanied by science policies.

Even though enterprise architecture management (EAM) offers a wide range of methods and tools for aligning business with IT, an architect’s work is challenged by reality. The evolution of enterprise architecture (EA) and given constraints (e.g. legacy systems and processes) lead to debts which may complicate and hinder opportunities;however, the management of such debts has not been considered in EAM research. This paper presents a framework for strategically managing EA-debt-related issues and propose open questions as well as future research directions in this field. Digital evidence underpin the majority of crimes as their analysis is an integral part of almost every criminal investigation. Even if we temporarily disregard the numerous challenges in the collection and analysis of digital evidence, the exchange of the evidence among the different stakeholders has many thorny issues. Of specific interest are cross-border criminal investigations as the complexity is significantly high due to the heterogeneity of legal frameworks which beyond time bottlenecks can also become prohibiting. The aim of this article is to analyse the current state of practice of cross-border investigations considering the efficacy of current collaboration protocols along with the challenges and drawbacks to be overcome. Further to performing a legally-oriented research treatise, we recall all the challenges raised in the literature and discuss them from a more practical yet global perspective. Thus, this article paves the way to enabling practitioners and stakeholders to leverage horizontal strategies to fill in the identified gaps timely and accurately. © 2022, CC BY-NC-SA.

TWIST-GAN: Towards wavelet transform and transferred GAN for spatio-temporal single image super resolution

Single Image Super-resolution (SISR) produces high-resolution images with fine spatial resolutions from a remotely sensed image with low spatial resolution. Recently, deep learning and generative adversarial networks (GANs) have made breakthroughs for the challenging task of single image super-resolution (SISR). However, the generated image still suffers from undesirable artifacts such as, the absence of texture-feature representation and high-frequency information. We propose a frequency domain-based spatio-temporal remote sensing single image super-resolution technique to reconstruct the HR image combined with generative adversarial networks (GANs) on various frequency bands (TWIST-GAN).We have introduced a new method incorporating Wavelet Transform (WT) characteristics and transferred generative adversarial network. The LR image has been split into various frequency bands by using theWT, whereas, the transfer generative adversarial network predicts high-frequency components via a proposed architecture. Finally, the inverse transfer of wavelets produces a reconstructed image with super-resolution. The model is first trained on an external DIV2 K dataset and validated with the UC Merceed Landsat remote sensing dataset and Set14 with each image size of 256x256. Following that, transferred GANs are used to process spatio-temporal remote sensing images in order to minimize computation cost differences and improve texture information. The findings are compared qualitatively and qualitatively with the current state-of-art approaches. In addition, we saved about 43% of the GPU memory during training and accelerated the execution of our simplified version by eliminating batch normalization layers. © 2021, CC BY.

Validation metrics are key for tracking scientific progress and bridging the current chasm between artificial intelligence (AI) research and its translation into practice. However, increasing evidence shows that particularly in image analysis, metrics are often chosen inadequately. While taking into account the individual strengths, weaknesses, and limitations of validation metrics is a critical prerequisite to making educated choices, the relevant knowledge is currently scattered and poorly accessible to individual researchers. Based on a multi-stage Delphi process conducted by a multidisciplinary expert consortium as well as extensive community feedback, the present work provides the first reliable and comprehensive common point of access to information on pitfalls related to validation metrics in image analysis. While focused on biomedical image analysis, the addressed pitfalls generalize across application domains and are categorized according to a newly created, domain-agnostic taxonomy. Background: Diarrhoeal diseases claim more than 1 million lives annually and are a leading cause of death in children younger than 5 years. Comprehensive global estimates of the diarrhoeal disease burden for specific age groups of children younger than 5 years are scarce, and the burden in children older than 5 years and in adults is also understudied. We used results from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2021 to assess the burden of, and trends in, diarrhoeal diseases overall and attributable to 13 pathogens, as well as the contributions of associated risk factors, in children and adults in 204 countries and territories from 1990 to 2021. Methods: We used the Cause of Death Ensemble modelling strategy to analyse vital registration data, verbal autopsy data, mortality surveillance data, and minimally invasive tissue sampling data. We used DisMod-MR (version 2.1), a Bayesian meta-regression tool, to analyse incidence and prevalence data identified via systematic reviews, population-based surveys, and claims and inpatient data. We calculated diarrhoeal disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) as the sum of years of life lost (YLLs) and years lived with disability (YLDs) for each location, year, and age–sex group. For aetiology estimation, we used a counterfactual approach to quantify population-attributable fractions (PAFs). Additionally, we estimated the diarrhoeal disease burden attributable to the independent effects of risk factors using the comparative risk assessment framework. Findings: In 2021, diarrhoeal diseases caused an estimated 1·17 million (95% uncertainty interval 0·793–1·62) deaths globally, representing a 60·3% (50·6–69·0) decrease since 1990 (2·93 million [2·31–3·73] deaths). The most pronounced decline was in children younger than 5 years, with a 79·2% (72·4–84·6) decrease in diarrhoeal deaths.
